About: I have extensive experience caring for animals, as I’ve had pets in my home since I was a baby. Growing up around pets taught me responsibility at a young age, including feeding, grooming, cleaning, and making sure animals feel safe and comfortable. Over the years, I’ve cared for a variety of pets and have become very attentive to their needs, behaviors, and routines. I understand how important it is to provide not just basic care, but also companionship, patience, and love. My lifelong experience has made me confident in handling different personalities and ensuring pets are well cared for while their owners are away. I am a full time college student and work a part time job as a server. Most of my availability is in the mornings on weekdays and weekends as needed. I am a reliable and caring pet sitter with extensive experience providing private pet care for families. Over time, I’ve built trust with pet owners by consistently showing up on time, following specific care instructions, and treating every pet as if they were my own. I’ve cared for pets with different routines, temperaments, and needs, which has made me adaptable and attentive in any situation. Whether it’s feeding, walking, administering basic care, or simply spending quality time with pets, I always prioritize their comfort, safety, and happiness while their owners are away.
About: I have taken care of pets since I was 13 and house sat since I was 15!! I was also a kennel tech for a year! This included giving medication, bathing, feeding, and just plain old watching the pets! I know CPR for our fury friends too! I have two dogs of my own as well as four cats so I am completely comfortable with a variety. I am a college student working on my masters online while working another job as well. My schedule is pretty straight forward for me so pet care will fit well as long as I keep my calendar balanced. I am comfortable house sitting for both dogs and cats. I am more than capable of crating or letting pets out to potty. I usually keep treats on me anytime I care for a furry friend. When I walk animals, I usually go for 30 minutes to an hour so that they get the excercise needed. I also have bags for when they do their business on a walk.
About: I have taken care of my family's own dogs and neighbors' dogs since I was 14. I have experience training obedience and I raised and trained my own puppy at 17. I have experience with various training methods including R+, and I have extensive experience with high energy dogs. I have a flexible schedule, so I can be there to take care of animals while you are at work or on vacation multiple times a day. All pets are beloved companions and will be cared for as my own pets. I take my responsibility in looking after your animals very seriously.
“We highly recommend Allison!! She goes above and beyond to make sure our fur babies are safe, happy and loved while we’re away. We couldn’t enjoy a vacation without knowing they’re in her capable care. 🥰”

About: I’ve always loved caring for animals and treat every pet like they’re part of the family. I’m experienced with keeping pets on their normal routines, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention and affection. I’m reliable, attentive, and understand how important it is to feel comfortable knowing your pet is in good hands while you’re away. I work full-time during the week, but I’m happy to care for pets before and after work and on weekends. I’m able to plan my schedule around the needs of each pet and make sure they receive plenty of attention, playtime, and care. I’m dependable and will always communicate clearly about my availability so you know your pet is getting the care they need. My priority is always making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re in my care. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, medications if needed, walks, playtime, and any special instructions. I provide a clean, comfortable environment with plenty of attention and supervision. I also understand that every pet has their own personality and needs, so I take the time to get to know them and make sure they feel right at home. When caring for a pet in their home, I’m respectful of their space and will follow their usual routine and your instructions closely.
“I left my dog named Persy for the first time with a stranger and Sarah and Elijah made her so happy that she didn’t even miss me. I really appreciate the love that you guys show to Persy. I’m really grateful with you. Thank you”

“Alejandra did an amazing job looking after our two kitties! It can be very difficult to find a sitter that you trust to look after your babies and she proved to be very trustworthy and attentive. We will book again! 💕”

About: I’ve had pets my whole life (I’m 60) except for the last 7 years. I love loving on sweet animals. I’ve had dogs and cats, puppies and kittens, big dogs and little dogs. Love them all! I work full time but can work remotely, if necessary. Otherwise, I’m home most of the time. I have a fenced backyard that is small. My home is a single story. I could also pet sit in the pets own home so they are familiar with their surroundings. My yard is fenced and I don’t currently have any pets living in the home. Your pet would get all of my attention. I’m easy going and patient and adaptable to your pet’s needs.

I can give any medication and tend to any routine or care they need. I currently have Tuesdays, Saturday, and Sundays off! That’s leaves so much time for me to care for your fur babies! Perfect for a weekend getaway while I care for your pets! My full time job is a Veterinary Assistant and I’m currently in school to be a Vet Tech. Your pets are in good hands with me. About: I am a full time pet sitter & have years of experience with dogs, cats & some other animals. I absolutely love taking care of your furry family members ❤ My background is in nursing & a vet tech so if you pet would need medical care or medication I have no problems doing that! I absolutely love taking care of your furry family members ❤ I love getting down to their level and playing with them and loving on them! I feel it's very important to keep them in their own environment and stick to their schedules as to not add any extra stress or anxiety. I prefer to hang out at your house instead of doing drop in's for the same price unless you live really close! I think your furry family members appreciate that more than having someone there all of the time vs coming and going. I don't just sit around, I'm very active with your cats & dogs to wear them out unless they are seniors and then I just provide lots of love and cuddles ❤ I very much enjoy what I do & that's why I do it full time. I always take care of your furry family members as if they were my own. I do pet sitting full time & do not work another job any more. I work my schedule around my pet sitting for the most point. I may have an appointment that I have to run to but that's about it. I want to stick to your pets own schedules to not throw them off! I only care for pets in their home to keep them in their own environment to keep their stress levels & anxiety down. To help keep them safe for example if you don't have a fence & you tell me that they can still go outside on their own, I would probably put a leash on them for a while to make sure that they don't try to dart away after a squirrel! or something until I felt comfortable & for their safety. I always go outside with them to watch & gain there trust even if you have a fence. I also walk around the yard to help gain the dogs trust & make sure that the environment is safe whether permitting. My main goal is to gain your animals trust, learn & make sure the environment is safe & trustworthy.
“Emily took amazing care of our darling, and needy ;) cat Nikka. She went above and beyond to make sure Nikka had the necessities each day and that included serious and extended cuddles. This was our first time using Rover and I’m so glad that Emily took such great care of our girl. We highly recommend.”

About: We have a big fenced in backyard for lots of room for dogs to roam and explore. We live in a small cul de sac and quiet neighborhood where walks would be enjoyable. We have had several pets we have raised from young to old. We have taught basics of sit, lay, shake, and stay. I work from home and have the availability to play with your dog, give lots of snuggles, and let them have time outdoors and playtime with other dogs. I work from home and have 2 dogs, 2 bunnies, and a gecko (gecko doesn’t really come around other fur babies). My dogs are social and love to play with others. With our big fenced in backyard the dogs will have lots of room to run around and play. If your dog needs to be kenneled we can accommodate that.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
