“Maysie did an excellent job in taking care my Maddy. She was always prompt with her visits and left good notes and pics. She’s a very nice young lady and Maddy really seemed to like her. Would def recommend, and would book her again.”

“Michal Ann went above and beyond with my cats! I am thrilled with how well she cared for them while we were on vacation. I will definitely be reaching out the next time we need a cat sitter. Thank you!!!”

“Kacie did a great job with drop in visits to take care of my cats. She made sure they had fresh food and water. She also made sure their litter boxes were clean everyday. My cats were shy but they did finally come out on her last day so she could show them some attention. I appreciated that she was very responsive with the communication between the two of us. I would definitely book with her again.”

“Brittany is great with my two wild puppies! Dependable & reliable- she is awesome with all the intricate details for my dogs care & she’s consistently communicative about the drop-ins as well as whenever I reach out in general. Thank you, Brittany!”

About: I’ve cared for all kinds of animals over the years. Growing up I always had dogs and cats, and rats when I was older. I have pet sitter for friends, family, and neighbors for extended periods of time. Additionally, I have worked as a kennel attendant at a boarding kennel. There, I got to take care of all kinds of dogs and cats, and have plenty of experience with giving medication and caring for any specific needs. I just graduated college and am not working, so I have plenty of time to spend with your animals. I have open availability, and work with your specific needs. Since I live in an apartment, I cannot bring any pets home. However, I can stop by multiple times a day for potting, feeding, and playing, or I can stay there if your dog needs more company.
“Lindsey was amazing. Our cat is a rescue so she is very skiddish and not sure about strangers. Carina, our furbaby, was very comfortable with Lindsey and Lindsey made she that we knew how well our girl was doing. We received photos and a report card every day. We will definitely be using her again.”

About: Years of experience with my own pets and even volunteering in 2025 with dog walking and chores at the local shelters! Pets bring me joy in my every day life. I do this because I miss my other furry friends from home and pet sitting is one way to see animals which helps me feel better! I’m also doing this to earn extra money to save for college along with my job I go to a few days a week. I work a part time job and wanting to find an extra gig to save up more for college! :) I work a few days a week so far and wish to have another thing to add to my schedule! When you need to go on a trip or extra care on your long work day, your pets deserve to be loved and treated the best even when you’re gone! I treat any animal like my own and love helping out anyone when it comes to our furry friends! I like to make sure when you get home you won’t even notice I was there!
“Desiree responded to a last minute request. She was professional, had great communication, and very thorough with the details and direction we left. Will definitely reach to her in the future!”

I communicate clearly, provide updates and photos, and take extra care with shy, anxious, or senior pets so they feel safe and loved. Pet care fits really naturally into my routine. I’m home a lot and have a flexible schedule, so it’s easy for me to build walks, drop ins, feeding times, and check ins into my day without it ever feeling rushed. I treat every pet like part of my family, whether they’re at my home or yours. I follow your instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any special routines. I give plenty of attention, love, and playtime, and make sure pets feel safe and comfortable. I also respect your home, keeping everything tidy and leaving things as I found them. About: I have cared for animals all my life. I love spending time with Dogs and am experienced in taking care of all size Dogs. I am willing to come to your home and walk, babysit, feed, etc. I can even bath if needed. I have 4 dogs and volunteer at the Humane Society to walk dogs. I am currently free for any pet sitting, checking in on pets, or staying overnight with pets. I go to classes throughout the week but I can work around my schedule. I have 4 dogs and a fenced in yard. My dogs get along great with other animals but I would prefer to babysit in your home and also check in on your pets in your home. About: I've been pet-sitting for several years in Marietta, and I consider myself well-experienced with all kinds of animals, from reptiles to giant dogs. All animals are special, and I can accommodate anything your furry friend needs. I have experience with many animals that are considered "difficult" to care for, such as elderly/arthritic, sick, or extremely high energy dogs and cats! I'm not afraid of any animal, and administering medication is a standard part of what I do if it's needed. I currently work 445pm-9pm Sunday thru Thursday, leaving me open for dropins in the mornings/early afternoons. Additionally, I am available for boarding on Fridays and Saturdays. My home is extremely pet friendly! I live with my best friend, and we are both huge animal lovers. Additionally, I make daily trips to the dog park and other local spots to provide lots of time to stretch!

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
