“A couple of weeks ago, I had to leave town for two weeks due to work, and I had my sitter at the time cancel the day before I was set to leave town. I had never used Rover before, but I found Melissa and Jonathan on the app at the last minute and decided to give it a try. Despite the short notice, they immediately agreed to a meet-and-greet that same night before I had to leave. They were incredibly kind, welcoming, and understanding from the very beginning. Their space was spacious, comfortable, and perfect for my pet’s needs. Throughout the entire stay, they kept in touch with me on a daily basis by sending updates and pictures, and they were always quick to let me know if they had any concerns. I am very grateful that I was able to trust them with my pet, especially on such short notice and I would happily have them care for my pet again in the future. They are a hardworking, wonderful, and loving family, and I highly recommend them!”

About: I don't remember life without dogs. They've been my companions and best friends since I was a kid. I love them so much that I can bark well enough to fool you into thinking I'm one of them! Over the years, I've been around all kinds of dogs, from Great Danes to mutts and Golden Retrievers. I've also rescued dogs from difficult situations. I've learned that every dog has its own personality. Some want to play all day, some want to cuddle, and others just want to do their own thing. If your dog is big, I'm strong enough to take them on a walk. If they're cuddly, I'll cuddle the crap out of them. If they need space or time to warm up, that's fine, too. I'm comfortable around dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and I don't get nervous or jumpy around them. I'm sure your dog will bring lots of joy to my home. I have a spacious house where dogs can relax wherever they feel comfortable, along with a fenced backyard where they can run and play. I'll make sure your dog gets the attention, care, and space they need to feel at home. When I'm out, it's never for more than four hours. If your dog stays with me, they would be alone for four hours at most. The rest of the time we'll be around to give them attention and affection. My house is spacious, so your dog can find a comfortable spot to hang out wherever they like. I also have a fenced-in backyard where they can run around and play. I'm happy to take them on walks or to a nearby park, too. Every dog is different, so just let me know the specifics: their routine, what they enjoy, what makes them nervous, and anything else I should know. I want them to feel at home here, not like they're stuck somewhere unfamiliar while you're away.

I also have an animal friend home with pleanty of play area and 1 acre of fenced in yard for them to play. My 3 dogs and 3 cats welcome any animal into the household with open paws. My gentle giant st. Bernard and German shepherd are rough enough to play tug of war with the biggest of dogs but gentle enough to cuddle and protect a 5lb teacup Yorkie.

About: Hi! I am a dog lover and have had one since I was a kiddo. I have had small, medium and large breeds. I do not have any dogs that live with me in Louisville so all my attention and affection will be on your pup! My boyfriend and I have a Belgian Malinois and a German Shepard which I live with part time that I miss so much when I am in Louisville. Which is why I am doing Rover - to spend time with pups when I am not with mine. I work from home so your pup will get tons of time, walks, love and affection. Your pup will snuggle with me at night if they like as well. I have a fully fenced backyard but prefer not to leave dogs outside alone so they will always be supervised. I am very sensitive to dogs needs and will work to ensure that they feel safe and loved while they are with me. No crate training or crate needed - they are free to roam the house. Please reach out with any questions and I look forward to meeting your fur baby! I work from home so am typically there almost all day. I run out occasionally on an errand but a normal includes me being with your pup 22/24 hours! I have a fully fenced yard and live in a great neighborhood for walks. I have plenty of space in the house for your pup to explore and play.
