“Destinee and her hubby Cody gave our boy undivided attention in their home. He has had some negative experiences with other dogs and they were willing to make their home his alone. They seem super sweet but he was excited to come home; we did expect this behavior as they were willing to give him a trial 24 hours and behaved like we were never coming back. He is young and full of energy and spunk used to running free in his yard; no fence means he can not go roam around as he pleases sniffing and marking every spot he wishes. Perhaps he would rather have a sitter at the house next time. Or maybe we will train him with a collar to stay in an open yard. I would totally book time with Destinee/Cody again if we need some help. They work as a team taking care of Blu and making our time away stress free.”

“Miller had the best time! Highly recommend Sean and his services. He gives updates and a peace of mind while you’re away! He truly enjoys spending time with your furry friends!”

“Stephen and Angela took great care of Copper! He seemed right at home with them and they were very communicative! We would use them again for our next trip!”

“Daniel and his family were great with Kallie. She was able to get a lot of play time in to tire her out for our long drive home. Daniel was very friendly and I'm glad he was able to care for Kallie. ”

“Jessica took great care of my dog Aries. She had a huge fenced in yard for him to play in and her son was there to run and play with him. She sent me lots of pictures and updates, and when I came to pick him up he didn’t want to leave his new fur friend. I will definitely book her again when I need to board him!”

“Our 2 dogs had an amazing time with Megan, Axel and the family. We appreciated the attention to detail of what our dogs needed, and the pictures sent of them. They really enjoyed themselves and were wore out from playing with Axel and one another while we were away. Would highly recommend Meagan for your pet’s booking needs. We will book again forsure!”

“Carla did a great job making us feel better about leaving our pups. She kept in touch by sending us pictures and updates on our fur babies daily. They were in excellent condition when we picked them up. We have no problem highly recommending Carla and as the need arises we will use her again.”

“When you return from your trip and Kate brings your pup back from boarding her and the dog spends the first 20 minutes crying by the front door, you know you chose the right sitter!”

“Meela created a wonderful home away from home for Archer. She and her pups were welcoming and we got lots of updates and photos, which were wonderful because the kids wanted to know that he was having a good time and didn’t miss them. We are looking forward to having Meela pet sit again!”

“Patrick was great! Prompt communication and plenty of picture updates on Guthrie, who looked to be having the time of his life. I swear Guthrie was positively beaming when I picked him up! The afterglow remains several days after.”

“I was so nervous to leave my puppy but after meeting Shelby, I knew he was in great hands. She sent us daily photos and our little guy was so well taken care of. I will absolutely use Shelby again! Highly recommend! 10/10! ⭐️”

“Melissa and Andrew were great taking care of Tessa. They accepted the booking in short notice during a busy period. They made it easy to schedule a meet and greet before the booking, and the entire family seemed to love Tessa immediately. They had great communication before and during the sitting, and sent pictures of Tessa enjoying her time with them. When I picked Tessa up, she was in a great mood, and seemed to have had a great time there.”

“Stephanie was wonderful watching our dog for the week. I could tell she was loved and cared for just like she would’ve been at home. She was played with and treated like a part of their family. We will definitely use Stephanie again to board our dog!”

“Due to some last-minute changes, I was later than expected on a fairly long trip to NC from KY and dog care was a key to making the weekend work. Meg was quick to reply and adapt to those changes. Really helped make the weekend trip to Bellermaine's graduation go well for us and I'm not sure we could have found a better place for Butterscotch to stay. Thank you very much.”

“Midge was exhausted!! Ciara was so flexible with my schedule and easy to work with. She sent so many pictures and I could tell Midge was having a great time! My first experience with Rover.com and I would highly recommend!”

“This was the first time we used Ms Arla & Rover, I was very stressed but our Javy was in good hands. She sent me updates on him & pictures. We love that he’s able to run, play & go for walks with her. We already have her booked for July while we are on vacation. Thank you so much for taking care of my baby boy.”

“Ryo took care of our sweet Maddy and worked with us on such short notice. We appreciated the communication and pictures and can tell she was well cared for. We will definitely be contacting him again for doggie sitting in the future. Thanks Ryo!!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Lexington
He was absolutely amazing most definitely the best decision I’ve made… I was skeptical at first because I’ve never had to board any of my animals I ever had in my life but I am really happy I chose to this time!!! He sent pictures and videos and he treated Harley like his own!!! I will most definitely recommend him to anyone!!! He also went above and beyond for Harley she has anxiety and scratches/bites herself raw sometimes and he went out and got her a cone to help her stop doing it!!!

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
