About: As a passionate animal advocate, I've had the privilege of serving as the Foster Care Coordinator at the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society for 1 year, while also volunteering with shelters throughout my adult life. Additionally, I'm a Certified Veterinarian Assistant, and my life's journey has been enriched by sharing it with diverse animals, from beloved domestic pets like dogs and cats, to hospice and senior animals. I'm committed to providing your cherished pets with the same love, care, and compassion that I've devoted to my own. I am thrilled to be available Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. If you have a special request for different hours, I invite you to share your needs and I will eagerly discuss and arrange a solution that works for you. I will nurture your fur babies with the same love and devotion I would shower upon my own precious little ones. With my extensive shelter experience, I have been blessed to work with dogs and cats of all shapes, sizes, temperaments and life stages. I have had the joy of caring for rambunctious puppies and the privilege of providing comfort to senior dogs and cats.

About: Trustworthy and Caring Dog Sitter with Over a Decade of Personal Dog Ownership Experience. Thank you for considering me as your dog sitter. I look forward to providing a safe and trustworthy environment for your dog, filled with love, care, and endless belly rubs. I currently work outside the home full-time M-F with a lunch break at 1200 where I come home and walk my 12 year old dog. I have a fenced yard, a 12 year old Yorkie, and plenty of places for your pup to explore on walks. Your pup will be cared for as a member of the family.

“Michelle is wonderful! We were initially nervous to leave our two cats while we traveled for a few days, but Michelle’s great communication made us feel that our cats were being well taken care of. She kept both cats happy and took care of everything we asked (e.g., water, litter, playtime).”

“Avery was fantastic! Super friendly and a great communicator. I really appreciated all the photos and updates that I got while I was away. I’d absolutely recommend her and will be booking with her again.”

About: As a military spouse, I understand how hard it is to find great care at an affordable rate and possibly the last minute. My goal is to provide love for your babies so that you may focus on whatever calls you away without any worries. I work remotely so any needs or schedules for your babies will be met promptly and to your liking. Please prepare a written list that I may follow. Things to expect when dropping off your babies: Your babies will be provided their own space within my sight at all times (until bedtime) and that space can be adjusted to fit their needs (bigger or smaller). They will be provided food, clean water, cuddles, and as much playtime as they need. If they have any special needs I will ask for written instructions and provide those needs as necessary. I can provide as much or as little communication as you prefer and make sure your babies are doing great while away.

About: I’ve always loved animals, I have a 3 year old Australian Shepherd and he is my whole world. I will treat your fur baby with the love, care, and attention that I show my own fur baby. When I’m watching your pet, they will be safe, happy, and have the best time! I currently work full time, but I am available late evenings on week days and all day on most weekends. I am always happy to be flexible with my schedule. I live in an apartment so my dog gets plenty of walks, outdoor time, mental, and physical stimulation throughout the day. I provide a calming, safe environment in my home for my pup, and I bring that same calm and caring energy to every animal I meet.

About: i've taken care of dogs since I was 11 and I've had a cat for almost ten years now. I love spending time with all breeds! I am currently working part time, so I will have plenty of time to play with, take care of, and love on your fur babies. I'll take care of your animals whichever way you see fit. I have a fenced in back yard and will crate them if you see fit.

About: I've loved animals since I was a kid and have cared for many throughout my life! I was tasked with raising my family dog since she was a puppy when I was in high school, and I helped my college roommate with her puppy! I have walked/boarded many dogs and cats since moving to Virginia! Being in the military, my coworkers travel a lot so I have become the workplace's go-to "pet auntie." I genuinely love to spoil pets and providing them with a safe and homey environment while their loved ones are out! I have a fairly flexible work schedule so I can come back to my home or to your home to take care of your pet! Early morning, lunch, and evenings are especially free, so I can work around that depending on your needs. I do not own pets, so they will be here as a single child in the case they are boarded! Crates, food, litter boxes, etc will need to be provided as I don't own those things. I have access to many parks around my neighborhood, so walkability is not an issue!

About: I am an animal lover & have taken care of dogs, cats, fish, lizards, birds, bunnies, guinea pigs, hamsters, pigs, goats, cows, & horses. I have had the honor & privilege of having several 4 legged family members to love & care for in my lifetime but currently do not have any of my own so I would be grateful for the opportunity to love and care for your animals when you are away. I work full-time sometimes from home so I will do my best to accommodate my clients & fur-babies schedules & needs if possible for the days requested. I am interested in walking dogs for clients, follow agreed-upon routes, schedules & dispose of waste. I will pay attention to details and be sure they have food and water and dispose of their waste. I will gladly provide companionship & care in your absence. I am a responsible & reliable individual that you can trust for taking care of your fur-babies & even to the veterinarian in the event of an emergency. I am a non-smoker, non-vaper, non-drinker & non-drug user.

Ruthanne R.
“Ruthie was a lifesaver for our beagle who is a hyper and anxious dog! She played with her during her visits and sent us pictures too. We also have exotic animals and a dog on hospice who requires medication. Thankfully she has experience working with hospice animals and was able to administer the meds. Another great thing about her is that she not afraid of our other animals like our bearded dragon. Now we can continue to take trips as a family out of town and know all our animals are in good hands! Ruthie rates a 10 out 10 with us and we’re lucky to have her! 🥸”

Rosalyn D.
“Rosalyn is a loving and caring pet parent. She especially enjoys pet snuggles and belly rubs. Shes cared for dogs for multiple decades and will be a great sitter for your pup.”

Kacie R.
“Kacie is incredibly patient and caring with animals. She follows a structured schedule, which ensures pets are always cared for on time. Her attention to detail is unmatched she plans everything thoroughly, making sure each pet’s individual needs are met. I completely trust her with any pet, knowing she gives them love and consistency”

Elizabeth B.
“Elizabeth is an amazing caregiver and very reliable sitter. She has taken care of my cats while I was away on a trip and one of my cats was very pregnant. Elizabeth kept me updated the entire time I was away and kept my cats very happy. I’m planning on getting a dog soon and will definitely use her services again. Elizabeth’s dog Dunkin, is extremely well trained and is a very lovable pup. Which goes to show how amazing she is with doggos as well.”

Trenton L.
“Trent is my son. He is a great dog dad to his dog Buster. He has also been a great “Bubba” (as all of our pets have called him lol) to our dogs Mylo (black lab-passed away in 2019), Sissy (mixed breed who came from the shelter-passed away in 2022) & Scruff (toy poodle who was a stray in our neighborhood-passed away in 2023) & our cat Lily (also a stray). Trent shows compassion for all animals but he always seemed to have a special place in his heart for Scruff, who was blind when we took him in. Trent was very patient with him, especially in Scruff’s later years when he needed to be carried a lot. My grandparents were animal lovers who worked for the SPCA in their day and their legacy of loving animals has definitely traveled down the family tree to their great grandson Trent. Trent has also recently walked 3 dogs for my friend while she was recuperating from an injury and I’m sure she would highly recommend him for this job. Trent is reliable and you won’t go wrong if you hire him.”

Yuna L.
“Yuna is an amazing dog sitter and walker! My husband and I have had her keep our somewhat anxious and reactive dog Morty 3 or 4 times and every time Morty comes back to us content and ready to continue life at his normal pace and schedule without needing to be retrained on anything! She’s the best.”

Travis B.

“I needed drop-in visits for my cat and Travis did a great job! I recommend Travis. He is friendly, reliable, and obviously loves animals!”

Shelley Q.
“My name is Glenn. For 8 years, I lived in my sailboat, with my furbaby, Kona. He is so very special to me. He turned 15 years old, this year. He rides with me on my Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was born the same day, my dad passed away. He acts exactly like my dad. My best friend. A couple of years ago, I had to leave Kona with Shelley. Shelley was the manager of the marina where I and Kona were moored. If Kona wasn't on the boat, he was with Shelley. I had no doubt. She loved and cared for Kona with the same adoration I have.I was buying my house in France and I couldn't take Kona with me. I was to be gone for 3 months. It was without reservation, when I asked Shelley to take care of my furbaby for the extended period. Kona, Shelley and I were secure with the arrangement. When I returned to get Kona, he had been groomed, washed, and catapulted into my arms like a fresh puppy. She had maintained the strict diet, exercise and disciplines I had in place. It was without a doubt, the best arrangement I could ever hoped for. If you want the very best, you should go with Shelley and your furbaby will have the best of arrangements. Glenn”
