“I just want to say that I couldn’t have found a better person to watch my girls! I don’t trust just anyone with my dogs, but Raquel and her family immediately made me feel comfortable and at ease. My girls absolutely loved them, and I could tell they were well cared for and treated like part of the family. It gave me such peace of mind knowing they were in such loving and capable hands. I would absolutely trust Raquel with my girls again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone dependable, caring, and trustworthy. Thank you, Raquel and family, for taking such wonderful care of my girls! ❤️”

About: I stand out by offering attentive, personalized care. I’m patient with puppies, gentle with senior dogs, and always focused on making pets feel safe, loved, and well-cared-for ૮^ྀིᱹ ᱹ♡১ Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. As a full-time florist, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to plan walks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins throughout the day, ensuring pets receive consistent attention and care. I provide attentive, personalized care based on each pet’s routine and needs. In my home, pets enjoy a safe, comfortable environment with plenty of supervision, regular walks, playtime, feeding on schedule, and lots of affection. I have a large fenced yard for supervised outdoor time and make sure pets feel relaxed and at home. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their established routine closely, including feeding, walks, playtime, medication if needed, and maintaining a calm, familiar environment. I always prioritize safety, cleanliness, and clear communication, and I’m happy to provide updates and photos for peace of mind.
“We JUST rescued our pup but had already had plans to go out of town and didn’t want to leave him alone. I met Rudy at PetSmart and just talking to him for a few minutes you can immediately tell he knows so much about dogs and caring for them and absolutely loves animals. We felt so comfortable leaving our pup in his care and he provided check-ins throughout our little guys stay. He asked us what we were already doing at home so he could follow that lead which I think is so considerate instead of just sticking to his personal routine. I HIGHLY recommend Rudy and will definitely be leaving our pup there for any other trips we have coming up!!”

“Melissa was great! Constant communication and updates with pictures and videos. She was taking Baxter it for walks and socializing him with other friendly dogs. Definitely will be rebooking again.”

About: Hello! 🤗 My name is Kristina, I’m 28, and I have been a pet owner since elementary years. Having pets at a young age has allowed me to gain special experience with senior dog care. Becoming a registered nurse has enhanced my care for pets by being more attentive and aware of safety concerns. I am trusted by my friends to care for their pets while they are out of town, and you can trust me to care for your loved ones as well 🐶💕 I work full-time as a registered nurse at the hospital, which is 3 days a week, 12 hours each day (7 am to 7 pm). I do not have a set schedule in terms of the days I work, but on my off days I am flexible throughout the day. I spend as much time as possible with my senior dog on my off days. I am available most nights late at night as my dog’s final potty break and medication is given around 11 pm 🌙 My Rover Calendar does not reflect all of my available times as I am typically available after 7 pm on my work days. Please send me a message as I may be available at the time you need ⏰ I have a senior dog that can keep your fur baby company. Our apartment complex has a dog park and a walking trail that we live right next to. Our apartment’s dog park has a large tree that keeps the entire area shaded on hot days. I also take my dog to Bucklin Park in El Centro and to the large dog park in Imperial (Woof Town) 🌳

About: I’ve been the main caregiver to my JRT, Charlie, for about 7 years, and my pit bull lab, Blu, for about 2 years. With two dogs, trust me, there’s no situation too tough to handle! I am responsible, reliable, and care deeply about my fur babies. I will do whatever it takes to keep your dog out of harm’s way and make sure they have a great time! Pet care is a constant part of my daily routine. I am a college student primarily taking online classes, so the majority of my time is spent at home. I feed my dogs twice daily. We go on walks frequently around the neighborhood. I keep them entertained with their toys and give them lots of attention and petting. I make sure they get several potty breaks throughout the day. I take any precautions necessary to keep them out of trouble and keep them safe.
About: Animals have always been my "people" for me lol sounds kinda weird but I always got along with animals way more than people. Since I was a kid my family and I would foster kittens ended up keeping one always had dogs in the house big and small! We loved them all:) but we didn't stop at just your regular fur baby yeah we had rabbits and guinea pigs too but no animal left behind right that's what I've always said so we brought in a few spiders & snakes. The house was just a dream come true I think I would be the best sitter to make your pets home away from home:) I'm currently unemployed so I would have plenty of time for your pup! I am available on weekdays and weekends, holidays if needed & overnights are always available. I have a fenced-in backyard for your fur babies to enjoy! 🐾 Depending on your dog’s needs, whether they’re not very dog-friendly, experience anxiety, or simply need a little extra patience and attention, I’ll make sure to stay on top of their care and do everything I can to help them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re with me. ❤️
About: I've been surrounded by pets for as long as I can remember. Ever since I was a child, animals have always been a big part of my life, and I truly believe that pets are family. I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family members. Their safety, happiness, and well-being are always my top priorities. I'm attentive to their needs, patient, loving, and committed to making sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and loved while you're away. I work part-time, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time to caring for your pet. I'm available on weekends and after work during the week. I'll make sure your pet receives lots of attention, love, playtime, and the care they deserve while you're away. I have a fully fenced backyard where your dog can safely play and explore. We are very careful about safety because we also have our own beloved 4 year old Boxer. He's very friendly, playful, and loves the company of other dogs. My goal is to make sure your pet feels comfortable, has fun, and never gets bored while staying with us.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Verdant home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Verdant.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Verdant sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
