About: I have always loved and cared for animals. My personal experience actually started with my first love Sancho- a rescue chi that taught me how to manage and care for a dog that had been abused and needed special attention. At the end of his life he dealt with congestive heart failure so was on several medications, and peanut butter was the only way he would take them. I also became proficient at administrating medications. Really hard to lose a pet but just makes you realize how much love they provide you. Thoughout the years I have cared for friends and family’s animals while they were out of town or housesat for them as well. My latest adventures have been with Trusted Housesitters, and the past 3 months I have been graced to travel far and wide taking care of people’s pets and homes while they were able to relax and travel themselves knowing I was keeping their house and pets safe and sound. My experience included spending time and caring for all different types of dogs and different personalities from bull terriers, mixed breeds, frenchies, sherpards down to tea cup poodles all sizes and breeds. I’m honored to have the opportunity to care for your precious furry people! Beginning July 2022, I went from caring for animals part-time to caring for animals full-time. I have an endless amount of experience in a multitude of career choices. All my experiences have led me to today, caring for animals in any capacity. I’m originally from Mississippi. I graduated from Ole Miss. Lived in Nashville, Tennessee, for four years. I lived in Utah for 28 years. And I moved to South Carolina, September, 2024, just before Hurricane Helene welcomed me to the area! I’ve owned and operated several businesses (preschools/daycare centers, a life coaching practice, and a gift shop). Along with business ownership, I have worked in additional fields such as advertising, marketing, sales, and public relations. I have worked with and I have cared for over 350 different dogs in the past two and a half years (July will be three years). Like people, each and every pup is different, so each and every booking comes with more experience that helps me learn and grow. I’m able to customize the care for each doggie. I’ve received some professional training for different dog breeds, temperaments, behavioral responses, and dog grooming. I receive additional education from a multitude of resources, all to ensure your babies are safe, comfortable and happy. In my lifetime I have had lots of different pets in my home, from being a child up until now. My first pet was a grey Mini Schnauzer named Gretchen. Other dogs: Scarlett the Irish Setter, Shawn the Irish Setter, Wrigley the white Lab, Mandy the Cocker Spaniel, Jackson the black and white Shi Tzu, Sam the English cream Golden Retriever, Chrissy the belenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and Manning the ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Currently I have Gibson a Tan and white Shih Tzu and Jenny a grey and white Shih Tzu Poodle mix. They are the loves of my life! I’ve also had LOTS of cats over the years. A few of the cats were: Sugar, Oreo, Dexter, Nala, Jack, Greyson, and my Claire Bear. December of 2024, I had to put down my 15 yr baby girl kitty, Claire. I’m still mourning her loss. I’ve also had other types of pets: a ferret, hamsters, guinea pig, fancy rats, turtle, tarantula, corn snake, parakeets, and of course fish! Prior to moving to South Carolina, I boarded dogs, I provided doggie daycare, I did drop-ins, and I groomed dogs. I was living with my son, daughter-in-love, and two granddaughters, (the reasons I moved here), from Sep to Dec 2024, and then mid December, I found a mobile home in the country with LOTS of land! I am working towards getting my business booming again! My new place isn’t fancy for humans, yet it’s a haven for pups! It’s not French Country, it’s just country! Dogs will be indoors receiving LOTS of love and attention. I have an enclosed area on the front porch and I have a large deck in the back, so there are plenty of spaces to roam around and play. I’m situated on two acres of land. Depending on a dog’s training level, we will either play in the yard or take walks around on the property. Looking forward to meeting! About my yard I have a big backyard that has lots of areas to explore all fully-fenced and dog friendly. The back yard is great for quick rest-stop needs (eg, if nature calls in the middle of the night) and on beautiful days it's nice to just hang out there and watch the squirrels and birds in the trees. My experience administering medication I'm comfortable administering oral and noninvasive medications, but not comfortable doing injections. When I'm caring for a pet I really enjoy their company, so spend most of the time hanging out with them or taking them places with me, if appropriate depending on the pet. If your pet has special needs like separation anxiety or a strict medication schedule, I plan my schedule around their care and comfort. I have a big, fully fenced back yard that is wonderful for sniffing around, playing fetch, watching birds and squirrels, and hanging out together when the weather's nice. In the house your pup is welcome to hang out wherever I am at the moment - kitchen, desk, bedroom. Sleeping arrangements will be per your instructions.

About: Hi everyone! I live in Aiken, SC with my husband, our baby girl, and our pets. We have four dogs. I have cared for animals of all ages, including seniors with medical conditions, babies, high-energy animals, and pets that have behavioral concerns, etc. I have completed pet first aid and CPR training through Pet Safety Crusader. I have experience with administering medications, walking, feeding, and cuddling! I have experience administering insulin to cats. I am used to cleaning up after pets that are older and may not always make it outside or to their litter box for the bathroom, and animals that may try to dart out open doors or gates. I am mostly a stay-at-home mom during the week- my husband works full time regular hours. I am usually very available on weekends, and weekdays after 6 pm. I might be able to complete drop ins during the week if your dog is baby-friendly (she would be in a carrier or wrap during my visit). I am a new mom to a 10-month-old, so I no longer provide overnight care to people generally speaking! One of my dogs can be "dog selective" and tends to resource guard... so for everyone's safety, I do NOT watch pets in my home. Exceptions can be made for rodents or reptiles. I want to keep your pets as safe as possible while sticking to their usual routine while you're away. I pride myself on my clear communication. I recognize how scary it can be to leave your pets in the care of a stranger, and I am happy to do a "meet & greet" with you and your pets prior to booking. About: I’ve taken care of my senior, adopted dog. He required special care as he came to us with a lot of emotional scarring. I loved on him until the end and he became my soul dog. We also got a puppy when he was 12 weeks old. So I have experience dealing with puppy energy and house training. I am working from home right now, and have a very open schedule. I can come morning, afternoon and evenings. I’m even comfortable with late nights. I am comfortable feeding, providing medicine and basic health care needs.
