About: I’m in my mid 30s and been responsible for at least one pet since I was about 8. I love all animals and have personally had cats, dogs and fish. I graduated from A&M Galveston with a degree in Marine Biology and am currently working with marine mammals. I have experience in dog and cat training, this includes harness/leash and behavioral. Because of my degree I have a background in animal behavior which I use to help talk to and understand animals. I have worked with pets, dolphins and wolves in the past. I absolutely love animals and find it the most rewarding teaching and interacting with them. Please let me help you love your pet. I currently don’t have any set in stone commitments but I have the occasional volunteer project but can work around any Rover commitment. Let me know what you need and we can figure something out! I have a truck so it’s easy to go somewhere safe for your pet if your neighborhood doesn’t have a good play spot. If I am staying at a clients place can take the dog to a dog park if there isn't one nearby.
“Tamanda is awesome! My dog was so happy to see her every day 😊 She did a great job taking care of him while we were traveling. I highly recommend her, and we’re looking forward to seeing her again!”

About: I’m studying to be an engineer and my dad has a joke that i’m coming back as a veterinarian which says a lot. Unconditional love is what dogs have and the only thing you can do with it is to give some right back to them. I love going on walks and runs even without dogs, so it’s a perfect match. I’m also pretty good at tug of war, i might let your dog win a few times. I’m currently a student at A&M Kingsville with a lot of free time between classes and i’m very flexible as far as my schedule goes. I’m always eat at home and can unsure your dog gets a meal too. I do have a medium sized crate along with some treats of my own. In my apartment complex there is a fenced in doggy area as well as a bunch of yard throughout. As stated though, i love going on walks and letting them explore the campus, and other people love giving out pets and scratches.

About: I have been caring for dogs since I was about 10 years old while living with my parents, including feeding, playing, and helping with daily care. In the past few months, I have also been taking care of my own cat, Zeno, which has given me consistent hands-on experience with feeding schedules, attention, and daily pet needs. I am patient, responsible, and genuinely enjoy making sure animals feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I'm available to provide reliable cat care throughout the week. I can work with your cat's regular feeding and care routine and will make sure they receive plenty of attention, playtime, and affection. I'll communicate with you during each visit and do my best to accommodate your scheduling needs. Your cat's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow all feeding, medication, and care instructions, keep litter boxes clean, and make sure doors and windows remain secure. I respect your home, keep your cat's routine as consistent as possible, and provide a calm, loving environment where they can feel safe and cared for while you're away.

I am currently unemployed, but live with my mom and take care of my sister, who is 17 years old, I drive her to school at 7 am and pick her up at 3:43 p.m. I am available between then and after 7 p.m. as I have to give my dog Charlie her insulin shots and scheduled feeding twice a day. About: Pets have always been family to me. I had a Shih Tzu who was my best friend for 14 years and a Pit Bull I loved for 12 years, both of whom I miss dearly. Now I have a 6 month old Maltese-Yorkie mix who is my absolute pride and joy 🤎 So I truly understand how much trust it takes to leave your baby in someone else’s care. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and breeds, from little lap dogs to the big babies who think they’re lap dogs 😂 I’m also happy to care for cats! I’m currently a full-time nursing student and not working outside of school, which gives me the flexibility to provide plenty of attention, potty breaks, playtime, cuddles, and supervision. My goal is simple: for you to enjoy your time away knowing your baby is safe, loved, and being cared for like one of my own. You can expect plenty of pictures and updates along the way, because I know how much peace of mind that brings 🐾 I’m currently a full-time nursing student, which gives me a pretty flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for your pets. Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
