“Rebeccah was amazing! This was my first time using Rover, so I was definitely a little nervous, but she made everything super easy and reassuring. She did two drop-ins for my cat Atlas—one Saturday night and one Sunday morning—and she was friendly, communicative, and really thoughtful. She sent tons of adorable photos (and even a video!) that honestly made my whole weekend. Atlas is usually wary with new people, especially when I’m not home, but he handled her visits really well — which is basically a win in my world. She also made getting my spare keys back simple by leaving them in the lockbox, which I appreciated. Overall, it was a great first Rover experience, and I plan to book Rebeccah again!”

“Leanne was great with our 2 cats. I was able to text her while I was away, & that allowed me to enjoy my trip more because I knew the cats were being taken care of. The cats really loved her; our shy one came right up to her! She even gave them treats & brought in our mail. Great job!!”

“We repeatedly booked Karsyn to help look after our Cat whilst we were away. She was always so professional and thorough with taking care of Cat. She is moving so we won’t be able to re-book her which is such a shame but I know whoever else she looks after will be in the best hands!! 5* Cat Sitter!!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, and even chickens for more than 6 years! I’ve cared for pets for more than 15 families in the Valpo, Chesterton, and Crown Point areas. I love going for long walks and would be the perfect walking buddy for your dogs! I work remotely during the week, which allows me to be very present with your pets if you are gone on a trip. I work remotely full time, so I can be available any time during the day for overnight petsitting! I can be available in the mornings or late afternoons/evenings for dog walks. I don’t offer overnight stays for pets in my home, but I have a lot of experience petsitting and housesitting for families when they are gone on trips!
“Meredith is wonderful. She is caring and kind. She managed to befriend our cat within days of meeting. Our cat doesn’t let anyone near with expectation of my mother and me. The cat came out to greet and play with her every day. We were so happy. We felt very comfortable with her in home. Thank you Meredith.”
“This was the first time I’ve ever used a pet sitter. We have an older cat that has kidney issues and we’ve had to switch her to a wet food diet. Last time we went out of town for a two days she lost almost 1/2 a pound of body weight and it took two weeks to get her back to eating normally. So we were concerned about leaving again. Samantha did a great job keeping us updated on how our cat was doing and when we got home she actually gained weight because she was so comfortable and eating normally. I would not hesitate to have Samantha look after our pets again she was so caring and you can tell she truly loves her time with the animals. Excellent job!”
“Julie made us feel at ease when leaving our young kitties for a few days for the first time. We’re so glad to have found someone so trustworthy and dependable, and will definitely be working with her again!”

“Nancy and Mark took excellent care of our kitty while we were away. We felt completely comfortable and at ease knowing they were there to check in on our kitty. I was apprehensive at first to use a service like rover but I am so glad that I did and even happier to know there are people like Nancy close by to help us while we are away!”

“Highly recommend! Extra detail was spent on making sure my one cat who is nervous around new people was taken of. Plenty of time spent during the drop in to feed and play with them with updates sent on every visit.”
About: With 18 years of hands-on experience, I’ve cared for just about every kind of animal — dogs, cats, chickens, horses, snakes, and many more. From raising my own pets and helping family and friends to working in a veterinary clinic and as a professional dog groomer, I’ve developed a deep understanding of animals of all ages and personalities. Whether social or shy, young or senior, I know how to build trust and form a genuine bond. I’d love the opportunity to get to know your animals and provide them with the same thoughtful care I give my own. This is my secondary job, so on the days I’m scheduled to work elsewhere, there will be an 8-hour period during the day when your pets will enjoy some quiet time and rest — much like when you’re away at work. On those days, I’ll provide attentive care in the morning before I leave and again in the afternoon or evening, according to the schedule and arrangements we’ve discussed in advance. Because I have a full house of animals myself, I care for pets in their own homes to help keep them comfortable and stress-free. Staying in a familiar environment means they can relax without the pressure of meeting lots of new furry (or feathered!) friends. While in your home, I’ll follow the care guidelines you provide as closely as possible to ensure your pets’ routine and comfort are maintained. In the event of an emergency where you cannot be reached, I will consult with your veterinarian or designated emergency contacts as needed. I will also draw on my own extensive experience in animal care to ensure your pet remains as safe, comfortable, and well-cared-for as possible until you are able to be contacted.
“Niamh was such a great sitter for my cat while I was gone! She always sent routine pictures and videos and even watered my plants for me while I was gone! Would definitely book with her again :)”

About: I have multiple years of experience pet sitting for dogs and cats of all sizes. I also enjoy taking walks and would love to take your pet to give them som extra exercise! I frequently take long walks with my dogs and would be happy to walk others pets to give them some extra exercise during the day. I can also pet sit as needed at client's homes. Because I have multiple pets of my own, I prefer to walk or pet sit near the home of the client. This also allows the pet to feel more comfortable as they are in their own space. I am attentive and reliable to the animals I care for.
About: I am a veterinary assistant and I am currently trying to get into veterinary school. I have the knowledge and experience to keep your pet safe and take action should any issues arise! I currently work full-time Monday through Thursday as a veterinary assistant. I can stop by during my lunch break and after work as needed, and I am available all day Friday-Sunday! I'm happy to accommodate any request that you might have for your pet, as I know that each one is unique and special in their own way! Personally, my dog has bad allergies, and I know how important it is for him not to deviate from his diet.
About: I have grown up around pets my whole life and have been trusted with family/friends pets for many years. I am very active and love to play and walk with pets as I have had border collies as family dogs. Having had many, I am familiar with dogs of all ages and understand how each pet differs from one another. I am in between jobs currently and, therefore, have a lot of time on my hands. This leaves a lot of space for pet care throughout the week when I am not traveling. I am willing to be at the client’s home as often as requested to care for the pet. I am very communicative and will send owner updates throughout their time away.
