My new rescue dog had a great day with Mikayla! He was nervous when I dropped him off first thing in the morning, but he relaxed right away. She sent a video of him having fun before I even got to work! Was a great experience for him and he’ll be going back a lot!

Mary Jane was very sweet with Tito. Tito got along with her two small dogs. We are happy that we have someone to leave Tito with when we have to go out of town.

We can’t say enough amazing things about Megan! She stepped in to take care of Jaxon on incredibly short notice, and she was simply outstanding. From the moment we arrived, her calm and caring presence put us completely at ease during what was a very stressful situation. Megan was attentive, warm, and so in tune with Jaxon’s needs—he instantly felt comfortable with her, and so did we. It’s such a gift to have someone you can trust so fully, and Megan went above and beyond in every way. We are beyond grateful for her and couldn’t recommend her more highly!

She did amazing with my sweet girl. I could tell my dog had a great day when I got her and I will definitely be rebooking. She even let me drop her off fairly early in the morning, which I appreciate so very much.

Peyton did an absolutely wonderful job taking care of Bohdi! From the moment we connected, Peyton was professional, attentive, and clearly loves animals. Bohdi can be a bit particular at times, but Peyton handled everything with patience and care, making sure he felt comfortable and happy the entire time. I really appreciated the regular updates, photos, and thoughtful communication—it gave me complete peace of mind knowing Bohdi was in such good hands. It’s clear Peyton goes above and beyond, not just meeting expectations but truly caring for pets as if they were their own. When I returned, Bohdi was relaxed, well cared for, and clearly had a great experience. I would absolutely trust Peyton again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate pet sitter.

About: I’ve taken care of my own personal pets, neighborhood pets, family pets, and when I moved back to Texas 9 years ago I started working in veterinary clinics as I found my passion as a veterinary technician. I work from home, and there is always someone home, so your furbabies will be in safe and loving hands! I am also fear free and cat friendly professional certified, I am knowledgeable with all ages, sizes, most breeds. I can also administer medications, trim toe nails, help out with a basic groom, train younger pets, I am knowledgeable in senior care, palliative care (I was an ICU veterinary technician for years), whatever you may be looking for, feel free to reach out and discuss! I'd love to be a great sitter for you (: I have a free schedule at this time, as I work from home with a flexible schedule so I can accommodate more specialized care for your pets needs. I have my own pets and one with special needs, their care is very important to me, so I know looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable caregiver is important! Look no further (: In my own home if your pet is kennel trained, for their own safety at night or while I am gone at work or to the store, they would be safely placed in their kennel to avoid any issues. If they are not kennel trained they will be placed in a separate room without any other animals to avoid any issues. I will be with them as much as possible to ensure they are safe and happy, they’ll get their regular walks, feeding schedule and treats with plenty of play time and toys. At your home I will try my best with my work schedule to adhere to the schedule you leave me for your pets walks, feeding routine, etc. to ensure no additional stress is placed on them with you being gone.

This is possibly one of the hardest decisions ever. I really adore the mess out of Mowgli. He’s super sweet, smart and funny. I’m very grateful for Peyton and her care and attentiveness to Mowgli. She added to the list of people who spoils him. I could tell that he really liked and felt comfortable because when I picked him up as I was talking to her about his day he followed her around. Thanks so much Peyton!

About: Hello, my name is Derrick, I currently live alone and am between jobs at the moment which allows me to be home every day. I’m A big Pitbull fan but love all dogs. I have a designated air conditioned area in my home where your pup will be able to hang out while I am at work. My work schedule Is set for the most part so I will be able to keep your pup on a good schedule while you are away. I have a soft spot for Pitbulls and their pet owners because I know how hard it is to get good help with that specific breed. Thank you for trusting me with your pups, as a pet owner myself I know how hard it is to leave your baby for a night. You Won’t Regret It ❤️❤️ boarding Monday-Friday after 4pm or anytime on the weekend. If you are needing overnight care throughout the week I do have a designated area where your pup will be safe while I am at work. I have a fenced yard with sections so your baby can get some good out door time even if I do have multiple dogs. I also have a designated indoor area with a/c accommodation for this Texas heat. I do have 2 dogs who are very friendly but to keep your baby safe I am able to crate them and put them in a different fenced section during outdoor time.

About: Hello my name is Cayla. I’m from Houston, Tx and I've been an animal lover my whole life. I’ve raised other animals in FFA for my high school years while alson having other house hold pets within the years ( rabbit, turtle, dogs, and fish). I’m choosing to do Rover so I can build clientele and so I can expand my knowledge on dogs outside my pit bull and a few other breeds I’ve dealt with within my family and friends. Hopefully I’m someone you’ll love and trust around your home and your four-legged best friend. I do work from home and only work 4 days out the week so it's no hassle making sure everything and everyone is doing great. During the booking process I do ask for a routine so I can keep everything consistent. I do have doggie treats, extra blankets, training pads, and doggie toys I keep on stand by. In the morning I will open cages and let them move around freely aslong as im home and awake. If they need medication I have no problem giving it to them aswell, I do work from home so that will not be an issue.

About: I have owned and taken care of many animals in my life including dogs, alpacas, wallabies, and other livestock. I am currently a college student studying to become a veterinarian and have even worked in a vets office for a year. I also worked at animal shelters and animal rescue ranches in the past so I have experience with some special needs animals as well. I am a full time student and have classes on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. I will be home before and after classes however and also have roomates to help me out if something comes up while I am at school. I live in an apartment but we have a front yard I would take them to go potty at as well as a very nice dog park. I will also take them on regular walks everyday.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Valley Junction

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of June 2026, there are 112 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Valley Junction. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Valley Junction commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 112 sitters in Valley Junction, 91% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Don't let your 9-to-5 stop you from being a great pet parent. When you're heading to work, drop off your beloved pet with a loving dog sitter near you. Your dog will get the love and care they're used to at home, and you'll get photo updates and the peace of mind that comes from finding great care for your pet. We're proud to offer a wide range of pet care, including puppy day care and pet day care for all kinds of pets. We know you love your pets, but you can't always be there, which is where our loving sitters come in.
