“Jessica is such a wonderful sitter for my cat. She always gives him lots of attention and love. She sends pictures and gives detailed visit summaries. I feel good knowing my cat is safe and happy when we are away. Thanks Jessica!”

“This was our first time using Rover and we are so happy we chose Kara! She was very helpful and communicative throughout the process and we felt comfortable leaving her with our cat Beans. I would recommend her to anyone and we will definitely be using her again in the future.”

About: There's never been a time in my life when I didn't have a pet - dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, etc. I've helped take care of friend's and neighbors pets while on vacation since I was a teenager. We recently had to say bye to our dog, Bateman, of 13 years and as much as I'd love to welcome another pet into our lives, we're just not ready yet, but we'd love to show some love to your fur babies! We have a big, fenced in backyard and we are attached to a park that's great for walks, so I'd love to see Bateman's space put to good use. My husband and I both work from home and I don't have a set schedule so I can be flexible and available throughout the day. I also take daily walks at the park attached to our neighborhood, so I'd love to have friend to take along with me for some exercise. We have a 7-year-old son and 15-year-old daughter who both love animals and will be more than happy to love on your fur babies. I used to have my own little escape artist at home, so I'm very cautious when opening doors to ensure no one gets out unless there's a fence or they're on a leash.
About: They say grief is love with no place to go, so since my senior Belgian Malinois passed away, I've been fostering dogs and would like to get into dog walking. I have experience with dogs and cats of all ages. I have pet-sat for family and friends as well. I currently have a very flexible schedule. I am generally available during daylight hours Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and 5 PM or later Tuesday and Thursday. Before or at the start of our first walk, I'd like to get to know your dog's preferences, triggers, and typical walking habits and routes. I suggest treats for positive reinforcement if working on socialization and a slip lead to reduce pulling. A safe, enjoyable outing is my priority for your dog.
“I cannot say enough good about Stephanie! She's so personable and amazing with our cats. She always takes incredible care of them and sits with them to pet, play, and snuggle, so they're more comfortable while we are away.”

“I had such a great experience with Anna. She took care of my dogs for an hour a day for three days right after one of them had surgery, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for better support during that time. She was incredibly attentive, patient, and clearly very loving with them. She kept me updated throughout the entire stay with lots of pictures and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind, especially with my dog recovering. It was clear they were in good hands and being well cared for. She even went above and beyond by cleaning up a mess my dog made 2 of her visits, which I really appreciated and didn’t expect. That level of care and thoughtfulness meant a lot. Overall, I genuinely really liked her and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable, communicative, and kind to care for their pets.”

About: I’ve been dog sitting for 4 years now. I have three pups of our own and come from a family of pet lovers! Love spending time with pups and helping them keep comfortable in the comfort of their own home. I work full time in a flexible and hybrid environment. Whether the pups are with me or I am staying with the pups in the owner’s home, I make sure they are comfortable and getting all necessary activities. I will work with each pet family’s care guidelines to make sure they are getting the best and stress free care! For us, we have a fenced in yard which helps us with ongoing activities.
“Ronny was very professional and thorough when I needed him to come over and take out my 15 month old Brittany, Nova. She can definitely be hyper, but he was patient and went above and beyond what I would have expected. I will definitely contact Ronny the next time I need someone to check on Nova.”

About: Cause i have none of my own (yet) and will treat your pet like they are my own fur baby! I had a dog growing up and I used to help out at a dog kennel a few years ago. I am an art student as well so ur pet may be a source of inspiration for my paintings, that's if they can sit still ofc! :) plz feel free to contact me for any further questions I’d be happy to answer any. im currently working part time so ur pet will get plenty of play time with me during the day! my complex has a few trails too that i like to take that id love to share with your pet i have plenty experience with boarding and caring for dogs from my old job. they will get plenty of potty and play breaks and consistently fed promptly at your desired time. i work hard to gain every animals trust that i work with and make sure there is a mutual respect and interest between us! i will take plenty of photos for updates and so u are in the know about anything major or concerning
About: I’ve had cats all of my life, and have dog-sat for friends, neighbors, and coworkers since becoming an adult. My own little orange kitty has many medical adventures—so I’m also very used to administering medicine to cats. I have flexibility in my work hours and can work around routine meetings - allowing for flexibility when caring for our loved ones! I know some furballs need more together time than others so also have a job where I can work virtually too! I love working under instruction—every pet is different and needs different attention and affection! I love to give cuddles and have playtime, and am very detail-oriented when taking care of pets.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Valley Forge
Natalie was fantastic! She is probably the most detailed individual I’ve come across on Rover. During the initial meet and greet she had great questions to make sure she was going to give proper care to my dogs while away. My two dogs are very energetic (Golden Retriever & Chocolate Lab) and Natalie was great with them. Arrived on time during all visits, provided visit updates and many photos! I would use Natalie again without question - highly recommend!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Gaby was absolutely amazing with our dogs, and I truly cannot recommend her enough. I had to book with her very last minute because of my work schedule, and she didn’t hesitate to help. She was incredibly accommodating and made the entire process completely stress-free. From the moment we met her, she was kind, professional, and clearly cared deeply about animals. She kept us updated with messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Our dogs were happy, comfortable, and very well cared for. Gaby went above and beyond to make sure they stayed on their normal routine and received plenty of attention, love, and care. It was obvious that she treated them like they were her own. Another huge plus is that her prices are very reasonable, especially considering the exceptional level of care she provides. Finding someone who is affordable, reliable, and truly loves animals is rare, and Gaby exceeded every expectation we had. We will absolutely be booking with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, dependable, and amazing dog sitter!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
