“The best sitter ever, had to ask for an additional day due to unforseen circumstances and she came through. Seriously, we will always have Nicole watch our animals as long as she is willing.”

“Karen is an amazing pet sitter. My girls love her and somehow my male cat always horns in on the action when he hears Karen is around handing out treats! LOL We have used her for years while I was working full time and less often now that I am retired. I was so happy to discover her still on Rover! I have missed a lot of trips that I could have gone on because I don’t trust just anyone with my fur babies. No more since I now have Karen! Yea! Thank you Karen!”

“Jennifer was fantastic with our two cats and made them feel very comfortable while we were gone for roughly 5 days. One of our cats has pretty bad anxiety but she made them feel companionship and peace. Jennifer was flexible and made the best of some occasional circumstances outside of her control too, definitely would strongly recommend!!”

“Highly recommend! During my trip, she provided regular updates and adorable photos. She went above and beyond by playing with my cats, keeping the litter box clean, and fed them appropriately. :)”

About: I have grown up with big dogs since I was little as well as 2 cats! I’ve been with huskies and pomskies as well as labradors and shepherd dogs! I can take care of high energy and low energy dogs! I love cats as well! I know their temperament and how to approach them! My friends have had pit bulls which I do not discriminate against! I have helped with raising puppies and taking care of sick dogs, I promise to treat your pet with the utmost respect and care as if they were my own child! I am working part time at Starbucks and I work on Wednesday’s Thursday's and Sunday's, other than that I have morning classing Monday-Friday and I am good! I do online school so my schedule is very flexible for leaving in the mornings, and sometimes afternoons! At my home we have a big back yard and it is fenced in, we let our animals inside the house as well as outside, I don’t do pet care in my home because we have 4 big dogs and two cats and that would just be stressful on our dogs and cats as well as the dogs or cats I’m taking care of!

“Brooke was amazing with our two cats. This is the first time in their 7 years that we returned home to cats who were happier than when we left. Seriously, happy. No stress in them at all upon our return. Thank you Brooke!!!”

“Abigail was great with our two boys and also took good care of our house while we were out of town. She was reliably prompt and sent great pictures for each visit! One day when Sly was "missing" she reached out to us to ask about hiding spots, and sure enough Sly was being sly :)”

About: My family and I will care for your pets like our own. We have a little farm and love dogs and cats.Let the fun begin on our little farm with you furry friends. I work part time and have plenty of time to care and play with your fur babies. Clean safe environment. I’ll treat them like my own. I have a fenced yard safe for your pets as well as kennels and baby gates for in home care to keep pets happy and safe.
About: I absolutely love dogs, and will treat your baby like mine. I got into this because finding good care for my dog is such a stressful experience as my tolerance for risk is extremely low. I am a nervous dog mom and will care for your pets like they are my own, they will be safe and secure with me and you will get as many updates as you would like. I’m available for boarding on the weekends as well as from Tuesday- Wednesday night. I work in ABQ as well so if you need someone to stay at your house during the week while you are on vacation I am happy to do that as well. In clients home I want to make sure I have a good understanding of their routine and behavior. Having a high level overview of your dog will help me care for them. A former roommates dog had a thing for people on skateboards so when we were on walks, I knew I needed to hold him tight as they were passing. Understanding your dogs quirks will help me care for them.
“Savanah dropped in for a dinner break for my kiddos on short notice as well as tidied up the cat box, started a load of dishes and sheets I had piled up along with making sure the pack was taken care of! Can’t recommend her enough!”

“Lauren is amazing. My furbabies love her. From the moment my animals met her I knew she was perfect. It made me feel safe when she sent pics of my babies and they looked so happy. Looking forward to using her again.”

About: I have taken care of my own dogs/cats as well as families pets, I can create a big connection with animals, especially dogs, I have a big heart for all animals I’m currently a stay at home mom of a 1 year old and she loves animals just as much as me, walking dogs or having to go visit them would get us out of the house and we’re almost always free. I do have a little Banana Bread side business too. I have a fenced yard, 3 dogs (a great dane thats a bit older, a chihuahua and a blue heeler mix) and one cat, the cat is an outdoor cat. Our dogs haven’t been around too many other animals besides families dogs but once they meet new dogs and get to know each other they can get along well with them.
About: My name is Celaya, and I have a strong passion for animals, especially dogs. I have over four years of experience in the pet care industry, working with a wide variety of dog breeds and sizes. My background includes feeding and administering medication when needed, as well as providing regular walks and exercise. I am skilled in reading dog behavior and body language, allowing me to ensure each dog's safety, comfort, and well-being. I take pride in delivering reliable, compassionate care and building trust with both pets and their owners. I recently moved back to New Mexico and am currently looking for work, so I have a pretty flexible schedule. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine, and I enjoy making sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and the care they need. I’m comfortable making pet care a consistent part of my week and treating each pet like my own. When caring for pets in my home or at the client’s home, I make sure to follow their usual routine as closely as possible to keep them comfortable and happy. This includes feeding them on schedule, giving any medications if needed, taking them on regular walks, and providing plenty of playtime and attention. I always watch for signs of stress or discomfort and make sure they feel safe and loved. Whether it’s a quick visit or overnight stay, I treat every pet like they’re my own.
“Rita was great! She came by for 4 days to feed my cat, clean her litter, and play with her. During these drop in visits she sent my photos and I could see that she was taking great care of my cat. She was super accommodating before. She came by for a meet and greet first, then she even came by to pick up my key as I forgot to make one for her ahead of time. I'll definitely rebook the next time I go on vacation!”
“Karli was great with our two large, energetic Labs and our horse! Karli dropped in to care for our fur babies while we were away and she did an excellent job. She followed our requests for feeding, sent pics and everyone was happy when we got back home. Karli was professional and always on time. We trusted Karli with our home and our pets and she did a great job. It was a great relief to know everything was in good hands. We highly recommend Karli as a pet sitter and will be booking with her again in the future.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Valencia. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
