About: I’ve taken care of many animals throughout my entire life. Since I was a baby, I’ve been around all sorts of animals. My love for animals has only gotten stronger since then. I like to learn all about them, and get better at caring for them. I do not have a job, so I have plenty of free time to take care of your furry companion! I am available almost throughout the entire day! I am able to house smaller animals in my home. Cats and small dogs will do just fine here, my dogs are friendly. If you are uncomfortable with having your small dog or cat near bigger dogs, then I have another place I can watch them at!

I will do the same for your furry family. We would go for a walk in the morning after breakfast and play fetch after lunch. Potty breaks every 2 hours and scheduled play time. About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life. I can care for puppies all the way to senior dogs. I can administer meds. Can do pregnant dogs and check on newborn puppies if your dog just had a litter as well. I have a dog myself and she is my world. Everyone in my family has dogs and I help them as well with their work schedules. My dog is still a pup and still going through training so I’m working with her all the time. I have a pup of my own who loves other dogs and it would be so much fun to watch them play together. They could play and make it a lot easier for when you come home.

About: I’ve raised dogs ever since I can remember. I care about them so deeply. I’ve raised dozens of litters of pups. I care about how they feel and if they feel safe. I want them to be comfortable with me. They’re so naturally caring and sweet; they deserve it back. I currently work every Thursday to dog sit. I am available Monday through Sunday, except for Thursday. I’m already use to caring for dogs so doing this would be great. It fits perfectly, it’s part of my everyday. I can easily crate dogs. I have trained mine to do so. I have a fenced yard and live in the countrysides. I feed my dogs every morning and night, varying on how much they ate that day. My dogs wear diapers, I change them multiple times a day. I care for my senior dog, two pups, and their mom.

About: Hi everyone! My name is Allie and I have been professionally dog sitting for 5 years but have had a household zoo all my life. I am on Rover to build more clientele and make connections. Most of my experience has been with adult dogs and I have had to administer medications on several occasions. I have a flexible schedule and make sure your pups are my number one priority always. I work for Ada County and have had several years of experience with a work/personal balance. I work Monday through Thursday 4 PM to 2 AM. I know it is a weird schedule, but I make it work for my own pets and when I help my family. I put pets priorities first, and will always make sure there’s enough time to take care of them. I will provide and loving and playful environment for your pup as I know it can be nerve racking to say goodbye to your fur babies for a while. I usually stay the night at my clients’ houses, but in the case of your pup needing to stay with me, my home offers two other gentle and loving dogs and three cats that mainly keep to themselves. For more active dogs, I offer runs and walks to nearby parks. I want to make you and your dog as comfortable as possible. For dog walking and check-in services, I will make sure they never feel alone and have lots of love and playtime. I can work with any schedule and any amount of activity a dog will need.

About: There hasn’t been a time in my life where I haven’t been around a dog. I’ve been with the dogs throughout their walks of life. From puppies to seniors. I have also cared for and loved several other animals. I have experience in caring for rabbits, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, and birds. I also know CPR for dogs. My schedule is open so I have most days completely free! I bring my work with me so I’ll be able to stay with your pets all day. I take pets on exciting walks, and play with them if they are in the mood. I also have a knowledge of trails and other areas for walking for dogs that need deeper exercise. I also do light training, commands like sit/stay I have taught many times to dogs and also exercised with my own. Some dogs require more mental stimulation than others, so it’s best to keep them busy.

About: Home decor is incomplete without dog hair! I loooove animals! I have cared for dogs for 10+ years and have an array of experience with cats, chickens and many other pets. My daughter (toddler) has followed in my footsteps and is obsessed with animals as well. We are a mommy-daughter duo and ready to give your loved ones all the love, care and attention they need, if it is a good fit! :) Our schedule is flexible -walks, runs, hikes, baths, you name it! We love to get out and be active (even in the snow!) I work from home, so we have time to take your pup on multiple breaks/walks. My main goal is to make sure your furry friend is well-taken care of, happy and to ensure they continue to follow the rules that you have put in practice for them. Taking care of your pets will make my daughter and I as happy as we hope them to be! 🐶🐾 Feel free to reach out to me on the chat, to see if I am available the days you need. Again, my schedule is flexible as I love spending my free time with animals and implementing them into my daily routine with my family and daughter. I have a fenced balcony and great neighborhood for walking if looking to board. I also enjoy spending time outside of the house to care for and/or walk your pet.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 36 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Vale. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Vale. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Vale.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
