“I highly recommend Lorena for pup-boarding! My jack-chi Philo stayed with Lorena and her family while I was out of town for 6 days, and - like someone else had mentioned about their dog - I feel like he had his own little vacation. My previous go-to sitter had moved out of town and I was a bit worried about finding someone who could meet the needs of my sensitive little boy. After reading Lorena's reviews, I had a very good feeling, and she even offered a meet and greet in person or phone beforehand. The care was excellent, with lots of pics of Philo out walking and updates. Their house was a great place for him too, with room to explore, get outside, and enjoy nature. And he even made some doggie friends while he was there. As Philo does sometimes, he wasn't eating all his food at first. After checking with me (I'd mentioned chicken is his favorite) Lorena gave him some chicken and he got a healthier appetite. The whole trip, I wasn't worried about Philo and knew he was in good hands which was a relief. Thank you Lorena!”

About: Over the years, my husband and I have shared our lives with all kinds of dogs: farm dogs, little dogs, a Great Dane in a studio apartment, and now our Mini Australian Shepherd. We have learned and refined our dog ownership skills over time, finally investing in professional training for both our dog and ourselves in 2025. That experience shaped the kind of care I offer today. I believe dogs thrive with clear structure, consistency, and calm communication. I strive to provide the kind of boarding experience I wish I could find for my own dog, where training, routines, and boundaries are respected while you're away. I work from home full-time, so pet care fits naturally into my day. We have a large, fully fenced backyard, daily walks, and a very friendly Mini Australian Shepherd who enjoys canine company. Your dog won't be left alone for a typical workday. I do leave the house for school drop-offs and pick-ups, errands, or weekend activities. Dogs should be comfortable being alone for a few hours. Because I have both a young child and my own dog, I only accept dogs that: -Are friendly with children and other dogs. -Are up to date on vaccinations and flea prevention. -Can comfortably settle into a family home.

I currently have two cats: a 7‑year‑old tabby I adopted at 7 weeks old, and a 4-month‑old black kitten I adopted in late May. He had asthma, inflammatory bowel disease, a throat tumor that blocked 90% of his airway (which was successfully removed), hip dysplasia (also a successful surgery), and a luxating patella that required an ankle brace. Going through all of this taught me how important it is to be in tune with your animals; recognizing signs of distress or pain, noticing small changes in behavior or routine, respecting boundaries, and staying aware of potential toxins or safety hazards in their environment. I stick to your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, and I’ll always check in with you if anything needs to shift. In your home, I’m big on keeping things clean and cozy. I scoop litter boxes 2+ times a day, wash food bowls after every use, refresh water daily, and keep the space tidy. I’m also super mindful about safety. Food, drinks, plants, hair ties, strings, and any little “oops” hazards get put away so curious paws stay out of trouble. I keep the vibe calm and gentle, and I always let pets come to me on their own terms. No forced interactions. I follow their pace, their comfort level, and their boundaries. I’m extremely careful with doors and entryways, and I’ll never assume it’s okay for any pet to be outdoors unsupervised. And when it comes to cats, I never assume it’s okay for them to be outside under any circumstance. I double‑check (sometimes triple!), and do everything I can to make sure no one sneaks out. For dog walks, I stay alert and aware of our surroundings. I’ll wait for other dogs to pass or cross the street if needed, and I keep treats on hand to encourage positive behavior and make walks fun and rewarding.

About: Saying I love animals doesn't even begin to describe it! I've had dogs my entire life, but have been dogsitting for friends, family and coworkers for the last 13 years. I’m a longtime volunteer at Seattle Animal Shelter as a dog walker and dog behavior team member, so I have experience with a wide variety of dogs and their quirks. I trained with a dog behaviorist to work with more challenging dogs in the shelter environment and use positive reinforcement training methods only, no exception. My experience goes beyond occasional pet sitting—it’s part of my everyday life. I’m familiar with different pet personalities, from shy and independent cats to energetic and affectionate dogs. This helps me tailor my care to each pet’s unique needs. Pet care is an important part of my daily routine. Since I work from home, I’m able to give my pet plenty of attention throughout the day. I walk them at least twice daily—usually once in the morning and again in the evening—to ensure they get enough exercise and stimulation. I also have a backyard, which gives them extra space to play and move around freely during the day. I care for pets in my home, which is a clean, safe, and comfortable environment. I have a nice fenced backyard where pets can play and explore safely. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly, perfect for regular walks and outdoor time. There are also other pets in the home, providing companionship and socialization when appropriate. I make sure each pet feels loved, secure, and well cared for throughout their stay.
About: I’ve been caring for pets for many years. I have had dogs in my household since childhood, and have some experience caring for other types of animals as well. I love to play, walk, run, and cuddle! I’ve cared for young pets like puppies as well as senior pets. I tailor my care to the needs of you and your pet, understanding that they each have their own personality. I am a teacher and I’m currently available on evenings and weekends. About: I am patient and fun. I can go for long walks and will endeavor to keep your puppers engaged and entertained. I can accommodate to your furry babies needs, just reach out. I am a college student, so my schedule changes with the quarters. But if you reach out we can see if my schedule works or does not for your furr babies. I am happy to follow whatever schedule your family member(s) need. For my dogs I often take them for at least one walk a day. I carry treats around with me for good behavior. And I play and pet each dog equally, despite how cute one might be acting over another 😂

About: Over the years, my husband and I have shared our lives with all kinds of dogs: farm dogs, little dogs, a Great Dane in a studio apartment, and now our Mini Australian Shepherd. We have learned and refined our dog ownership skills over time, finally investing in professional training for both our dog and ourselves in 2025. I strive to provide the kind of boarding experience I wish I could find for my own dog, where training, routines, and boundaries are respected while you're away. I work from home full-time, so pet care fits naturally into my day. We have a large, fully fenced backyard, daily walks, and a very friendly Mini Australian Shepherd who enjoys canine company. Your dog won't be left alone for a typical workday. I do leave the house for school drop-offs and pick-ups, errands, or weekend activities. Dogs should be comfortable being alone for a few hours. Because I have both a young child and my own dog, I only accept dogs that: -Are friendly with children and other dogs. -Are up to date on vaccinations and flea prevention. -Can comfortably settle into a family home.
