About: We have owned pets for 20+ years including cats, dogs, a rabbit, fish, chickens and more, and have taken care of a variety of pets for friends, family and neighbors along the way. We have also volunteered for the local Petsmart taking care of kittens and adult cats in the catio. We love our pets and will adore yours as well! We can provide care such as, but not limited to, feeding, watering, medications, cuddling, playing, walking and plenty of love. Laurilee works part-time a couple of days per week as a RN. Travis works full-time from home generally with a flexible schedule as a consulting Forester. We have availability for drop-ins or walks generally between 12:30-2:30 a few days per week and occasional weekends, however this varies and will need to remain somewhat flexible, as we also care for our elderly grandmother. We can not offer baording or overnight stays at owners homes at this time. We are not available for evenings currently, as we have our childrens' activities. We are responsible and will honor the safety requests that you have for your pet(s) in your home and/or on walks. We will maintain a friendly and fun environment while keeping safety the #1 priority. Rover completed background checks on both Travis and Laurilee. In the case of an emergency we would contact you, your emergency veterinarian if shared with us, and Rover immediately. We both have the American Red Cross Pet First Aid app downloaded on our smart phones for quick access for urgent care recommendations if ever needed, along with quick access to the Rover Guarantee webpage and emergency number. Available most weekdays, M-F 12:30pm-2:30pm. Not available evenings or weekends. Boarding and overnight care is not offered at this time. Check-ins and walks may be done by Laurilee, Travis or both depending on the day. If approved, our teenage daughters may join us when available for extra pets and playmates. At this time we are unable to offer pet care service in our home. We have many of our own pets who do not appreciate having other animals in the house.

“I got on Rover purely to give Shell this review. Haha. Imagine the value in a scenario where you call up your mom and say you have to work late, and ask if she’d drive across town to pick your kid up from school and take care of them for a few hours until you’re free. She doesn’t think twice and your mind is completely at ease knowing your kiddo is in good hands. I don’t know what it’s like to have kids, but Shell has been more than a dog-sitter. She has been that third, auxiliary parent to my puppy when I’ve needed her! Even to the extent that she drove across town on a Thursday morning on zero notice to pick him up as I scrambled through an offsite work meeting. Also… Our pup was only 7 months old and we left him for a week with Shell, cold turkey. He had never stayed with anyone before; risky, I know. She sent pictures and videos every day of his playtime with friends, yummy meal toppers, and when we picked him up, he was as happy as a clam. It has been an immense relief knowing that, whenever we need a break, we can drop Winchester off and he is in great hands. We love our fluffy furball, but being able to drop him off and completely forget about him for a while is pure bliss sometimes. ? I don’t really know what else to say other than that I have complete and unwavering faith in Shell’s ability and good intention when it comes to caring for my little guy. I highly recommend bringing your pup to her… but hurry, she fills up fast!!”

Over 10 years of caring for pets of all kinds, I've become the person friends and family call when they need someone who'll actually look after their animals like they matter. I pay attention to your pet, notice when something feels off, and treat your home with the same respect I'd want for my own. One thing worth mentioning: I only take bookings in non-smoking homes, and I appreciate your understanding on that. My schedule is flexible right now, so I can work around yours. Whether it's consistent weekly visits or the occasional last-minute request, I can usually make it work as long as I'm not already booked. First, I'd like to meet you and your pet in person. It helps me get familiar with their personality and routine, and makes sure they know who I am before I show up solo. The last thing I want is for your pet to see me as a stranger who isn't supposed to be there. We'll go over their feeding schedule, medications, leash behavior, training, and emergency vet info, including the nearest location. I'll ask you to put it all in writing before I get started so we're both on the same page, and nothing gets missed. “Debbie is truly a gem! She took incredible care of our dog Koda while we were away. From the moment I dropped him off, I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such loving and capable hands. Debbie sent tons of adorable photo updates that showed Koda going on long walks, getting plenty of playtime, and soaking up so much love. It was clear she treated him like one of her own. Koda also made a new best friend—her sweet black lab, Sammy—which made his stay even more special. When I picked him up, he was so happy and relaxed, and I could tell he had the absolute best time. I will definitely be booking with Debbie again. Can’t recommend her enough!”

“Heath and Amy were amazing! Super flexible with all drop off and pickup needs, they have a lovely family that clearly love animals. Our dog was super happy to spend over a week with them which isn't super common as she is typically a bit nervous about new home environments. Not in this case, she made herself right at home thanks to their welcoming presence and their own pup was the perfect playmate. We will definitely be reaching out to them for future dogsitting needs.”
