“Lori continues to be our favorite dog-sitter! She consistently goes above and beyond to make sure Milo feels safe, loved, and at home. Her updates—complete with thoughtful notes and photos—always bring us peace of mind while we're away. It’s clear how much she genuinely cares for him, and we couldn’t be more grateful to have found someone so reliable and kind. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional pet care!”

“Janessa is THE BEST! I She treated our Josie like she was her own, taking special care with a couple of spots that needed attention. Great communication and lots of love!”

“We have boarded our dog Ella with Lourdez and her family on multiple occasions. Lourdez always takes great care of our dog, ensures she gets outside for walks or hikes, and treats her as part of the family. She sends frequent updates and communications are easy. We are very happy to have Lourdez as our sitter!”

“Lexi was great! She kept me well informed and had a good dog area in her basement and yard. Sammy was well cared for and she had a great time playing with the other dogs. I plan to use her again!”

“Carrie cared for our 18 month old Labrador, Bolt. Bolt was well cared for and came home happy. It was great to receive regular updates and pictures. Bolt got his usual exercise in, played a lot of fetch and some pool time too. We will leverage Carrie’s time and services in the future for sure. Thank you!”

“I was super nervous to leave my pup for the first time but she was in great hands with Chloe! She gave great updates throughout my trip and my girl had so much fun with Chloe and her family. She became part of their family in just a couple days and now she can’t wait for a reason to come back for her next stay!”

“It's so nice to be able to travel and not worry about our Pappilon! We get updates and photos, and it's always clear that she is content and in good hands. Cynthia is very warm with our dog, but also is professional in that she asks questions as needed. This is very reassuring to us. We don't intend on leaving our dog with anyone else!”
“I was so incredibly happy and thankful for the care Silvia and her family gave my dog, Rail. More importantly, Rail was happy tired and smiling for the entire evening after I picked him up. He enjoyed his stay and loved the back yard time and walks. Thank you so much. I will certainly be rebooking.”

“Kim is amazing at taking care of my cranky little senior pup! She updates several times a day and takes such good care of him. Shes one of the few people I trust to do so.”
“Hyeyoung and her family took great care of George! She sent great updates each day about George. Her photos are amazing! She made George look like a vogue doggy. I will 100% be rebooking with her!”

“Pilakak was incredible to work with. She took such a good care of our pups and sent us pictures all week long which made us feel happy to see our dogs having a great time. Highly recommended!!!”

“Lexi and Victor were great with our dog Knuckles! They were very easy to communicate and get in touch with at any time. Our dog can be high energy and had a great time playing with their dog Rio and playing ball in the backyard! I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of a sitter!”

About: I've had two different senior lab mixes in my life the past 15 years. I miss having my own dog, but my weekend schedule doesn't allow it. If your dog would benefit from companionship during the workday, I'm here for you and your dog! I work from home. My own dogs used to hang out with me in my home office. I would love a furry office companion again. I do have a fully fenced backyard and would be happy to discuss independent yard time if that is of interest to you. Otherwise, I would prefer your dog hang out inside with me except on walks. Walks would be a minimum of one short morning walk, one long lunchtime walk, and one short afternoon walk. On Wednesdays, there may be (optional) playtime with my two seven year old kiddos.

“Andreea and her boys were great! We met them before brody’s stay and she was so kind and welcoming! She was very flexible with dropping off and picking up and sent me several photos throught Brody’s stay! They took Brody with them to the soccer field and let him sleep in her bed! I was very happy with her communication and how sweet they all were to Brody! Would def recommend!”

“Heather is amazing. Responds very fast and sends updates daily. Couldn’t have felt more comfortable with her watching my special needs dog. Will definitely book again.”

“Lisa was wonderful with our dog. We could not have asked for a better sitter! She understands dogs very well and responds to their needs. Totally trusted her with our dog.”

“Amanda and Eric were such wonderful, kind sitters. I can't recommend them highly enough! The day before my booking was supposed to start, one of my girls got attacked by another dog and needed stitches on her ear and routine medication. I offered cancellation if they weren't comfortable with that, but Amanda assured me that her training as a nurse meant treating wounds was no problem at all. My girls got lots of walks, lots of love, and proper medical care. Choosing Amanda and Eric was such a blessing!”

About: I love cats and dogs equally, but at home I have three kitties of my own! I have experience not only with drop-in visits for others' cats, but lived daily experience from handling my own cats at home. Every cat is so different but I love working with them all, whether they want to play or need some space!

“Kimberly did a great job, and was able to check on our elderly kitty Izzy with no days notice! She even watered our plants. We will definitely reconnect with Kimberly again in the future!”
“Amazing working with Lexi! She was extremely communicative and efficient, making sure all the details were handled without me having to check in on anything. I came home to a very clean home, smelling fresh and two very happy kitties!”

“Susannah was fantastic at communicating the status of our pet during her visits. She brought in our packages and even put the garbarge cans in from the curb, helping keep our house safe. We would definitely book Susannah again.”

“Griffin was terrific and we will certainly book again. Great communication, we enjoyed the photos showing us the pets were doing well and it looks like the cats really took to him as well. Wonderful work!”

“Trinity did an excellent job taking care of our boy Sokka. He always looked so happy in her company in the photos, and we came home to a cat that wasn't entirely mad at us for being away as a result. Trinity also did a great job with his feeding and medicine schedule, and was great at keeping us informed and communicating. Would definitely book with Trinity again!”

“This was my first time using Rover and I was quite apprehensive. Lauren took great care of my two cats. I was surprised that Mochi, who is usually very shy, warmed up to Lauren very quickly. Next time I have to travel, I can rest easy that they will be in good hands. Highly recommended.”

About: Over the past 5 years, I have become the de facto dog sitter amongst friends and acquaintances across the Snoqualmie Valley. My experience even ranges to goats! I am currently setting up my work schedule as a dog trainer and will most likely be working Thursday-Sunday for around 6-7 hour shifts for the time being. I am most interested in keeping consistent with your pets needs and routine, while giving them all the love and attention as well! I am capable of administering medications, maintaining individual hygiene routines, adhering to your pet's special diet, and whatever else might be needed. I look forward especially to the cuddles and playtime.

About: I have been a cat sitter for many family members and friends. I provide attentive, compassionate care tailored to each cat’s preferences, whether they love energetic playtime or prefer quiet companionship. I'm also experienced with administering medications, following dietary restrictions, and maintaining their routines to keep them feeling safe and comfortable while their families are away.
About: We have both had dogs our entire lives that have spread across a variety of breeds, including Boston Terrier, English Bulldog, Labs, and Australian Shepard. We truly love all breeds and would love to spend time with your dog! We both work from home full time so there is no issue with feeding, walking or potty schedules. We generally love to spend time outdoors on the weekends and would love to take your dog on walks or hikes on the trails, if you’re comfortable. We have a fully fenced in yard and live close to an expansive trail system that we would be more than happy to walk your dog on to enjoy the outdoors. Dogs are welcome to be left loose in our house and will be allowed on the furniture, or feel free to bring their bed and/or crate if that’s what they are used to.
“Mindy did a fantastic job taking care of our cat while we were out of town. We really appreciated getting pictures and were happy to see our cat was getting plenty of play and snuggle time. Thanks so much, Mindy!”

About: I never had a cat till we moved and met my step family; they had this grumpy, kinda mean, outside cat. I never fully understood her back then but as time rolled by and she got older so did my understanding of her. I was able to understand more her behaviors and what they meant, likely how she was feeling. I cared for her when no one else did, cleaning bandages and being there with her as she said bye. My current job does house cats, which has helped me learn to understand them more and honestly prefer them over dogs at times. I now have my own cat, and can understand her for the most part; I may not be very different from others, but I will always care and love the animals. They're MY people

About: Although I haven’t had my own cat in years, I grew up with indoor/outdoor cats and have lived with some with roommates. Cats. Red interaction as well and I believe they deserve drop in pets and food :)

“Cynthia is the best sitter! She sends great updates with lots of pictures, and she clearly loves cats! We feel so much better leaving knowing that Cynthia will be caring for our babies. 😻😻”

“We used Lexi for day care and she did a fantastic job with our dog. She has a big fenced in yard where are dog could run and play. She keeps in touch throughout the day, sending pictures. She was very accommodating to our schedule. Will use her again.”

About: A lifelong owner of hunting breed dogs, I have a wealth of knowledge in how to give a dog their best adventure life. I currently own two friendly dogs, 13 year old GSP Quinn and 5 year old English Setter-Pointer Sherman, who would love to share their fenced half acre yard. Aiofe the cat is the newest addition to the family- her best friend is a golden retriever that comes over. When we're not at home, we're out ski touring, mountain biking, hiking or exploring. We'd love your pups to join! Is your dog more comfortable in your home? Don't worry, my other half can watch my dogs while I devote my attention to your adventure buddy. I work full time for REI buying skis and car racks, living that Work From Home life, but can work from your house if there's access to the internet. In addition to raising and training bird dogs since I was 5, I have grown up around horses and other farm animals. Whatever shape your adventure buddy comes in, I'm in! Does your dog prefer adventures closer to home? I'm just as comfortable exploring Netflix as I am hitting the trail. I love sharing my seat with a warm furry friend.
“Michael and his family were wonderful caretakers for our older pup Marley. He sent frequent updates and his daughter drew an adorable picture of our one eyed pup. I look forward to booking with Michael again for future needs!”

“Buddy warmed right up to Kayla and she took such good care of him. He received plenty of exercise and lots of love and attention. I highly recommend this team and will have them take care of Buddy on our next visit.”

About: Hi! We are Belle and David and we have been watching dogs on Rover for a couple of years now. We took a little break while caring for our own puppy and are happy that he is old enough to allow us to get back to our love of caring for your pets. We only watch one dog at a time so that we can provide each pet with their own special love and care. Belle is a teacher and David works from home so there is always one of us home, especially in the summer months. Our dog Mogul loves other dogs but can still be respectful if the other dog needs a break from playing. When house sitting I am very considerate of your pets needs and your home. I leave spaces cleaner than I found them and make sure your fur baby is comfortable and happy as can be! I am attentive to your care details and love playing with dogs inside and outside of your home. On walks I am always aware of our environment and pay attention to your dogs body language to ensure their happiness and security in new places and around familiar neighborhoods.
About: I have experience with my current dog after going through several months of behavioral training as a puppy. I also have experience with senior dogs and cats growing up at my parents home. I also know how to administer medicine both orally and through ear medicine for cats. During the week, early mornings, late afternoons and evenings are best. On the weekends, late afternoons and evenings are best. With enough time, I can accommodate noon appointments. Feeding, outside time, cleaning litter box, and playing/exercise time will all be standard, but it depends on the needs of the cat. I can also administer medicine as well. If boarding at my own home, dogs will have a fenced yard for exercise.
“Silvana was awesome! She responded quickly and let us book super last minute when our hotel wouldn’t let us check out late. She has a big house and yard and lots of toys, Khya was so excited when she got there! Silvana sent lots of cute pictures as well.”

“Kim is wonderful! She took great care of Whitley, and I loved the updates with how Whitley was playing with the other dogs. Kim is extremely responsive to messages and we can’t wait to book with her again in the future. It is such a relief to find somebody we know can take good care of our girl when needed. Thank you, Kim!”

We strongly recommend for her vast animal experience, calm demeanor, and for just being great! Thank you!”

She has really cute kids that look like great around dogs and love to give them pets. She is very sweet and responsive, and I will totally recommend her.”

About: I absolutely love dogs! Sadly in October of 2024 my dog of 15 years passed away. We are ready and available to love and support your pup while you are away. It can be stressful having you fur baby go to a new place; rest assured they are in loving and capable hands. We strive to ensure the adjustment to a new place is as easy as possible on your pet. We generally only take 2 pets at a time so there is plenty of time and energy to ensure your pet gets all the love, care, exercise and attention they need! We have been enjoying caring for your pets so much the past year with Rover. Preference for dogs who are good with other dogs, house trained and medium energy requirements. Let’s talk and see if we are a good fit! I am currently working part-time with a flexible schedule and my partner is an animal lover who works from home. We currently have no pets living in the home so plenty of space and time for your family member! We do have a 7 and 4 year old who also love having doggies around and are realllllly adapted to ensuring your pet is safe, loved and help so much with play time! We have a fenced in yard, plenty of space for walks (which we enjoy frequently), Lots of spare toys and energetic and disciplined children to keep them busy! “Jin and Michael were great, so responsive and easy to communicate with. They took great care of our 5 months old energetic puppy, were so patient and loving! Jin sent us updates and pics throughout the day which was awesome.”
“Jessica and her family are very kind to us and Tucker! Tucker gets great attention and care from Jessica and we always feel so comfortable to leave our pup at hers!!”

About: I've always had furry family members ever since I can remember..Spunky, Frisky, Muffin, Mitch and Paddington as a child and now Spirit, Peachy, Link, Shadow, Jesse, Kora and Komo as an adult. I have trained 5 large breed dogs from puppyhood to adulthood and spent my twenties to thirties house and petsitting all over Seattle. From canaries to Pufferfish to chickens, horses and dogs, I have always had an ease with animals and they typically like me. I can't wait to meet your furry family member and get to know his or her personality. I currently work part-time from home so I am very flexible and can spend lots of time with your loved one/pet. I am an avid walker so will be happy to get your dog's Tail on the Trail with me. I have a fenced play area for guest dogs and a separate room for them, if needed, at our 5 acre home in North Bend on a hill overlooking Mt Si. Our guest dogs are usually thrilled to be a part of our family pack and happily snuggle on the couch with our older dogs, Jesse and Komo. During the day, they love to cruise around the play yard with our frisky Shephard, Kora. Or if you prefer, I can do overnights at your place to make your fur baby feel more at home. I regularly record daily videos of client pups or pets and send them to you and am happy to host Zoom or Whatsapp calls so they can hear your voice, if preferred. My sister and I both dog and pet sit so you will have a team helping you and your pets. She works from home and I work part-time, so we will have plenty of time for your fur family! We have a fenced patio yard so can do boarding in a pinch but prefer house/pet sitting, visits and dog walking. We have two dogs and two cats at our home, so we take turns caring for them and for our clients pets as well.

About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember and have had cats nearly my entire life. Caring for animals isn’t new to me; it’s second nature. Pet sitting fits comfortably into my schedule, allowing me to give your pet focused, unrushed attention. I make sure visits are intentional — not squeezed in between distractions — so your pet gets the time and care they deserve. I’m dependable, punctual, and communicative, and I’m happy to provide updates and photos so you can feel confident while you’re away. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care. I carefully follow all feeding instructions, routines, and home guidelines. I double-check doors, secure entry points, and remain mindful of safety at all times. Because I’m a pet owner myself, I know the level of care I’d want for my own animals — and that’s exactly what I provide.
“Manish was great with my GSP Tess. She is a strong dog and loves her walks. He was able to handle her and he was reliable, which was important to me. I knew she was in good hands with Manish. He sent pictures and stayed in contact when I had questions. I was having surgery and needed to be stress free. I have already re-booked him for my next surgery. I highly recommend him!”

About: Hello! Being an active person I love to walk, run, hike, paddle board, and lots of play with any dog! If your dog is reaching age and tires easily, I will make sure they receive the right type and amount of exercise. I am a 2nd Grade Teacher and I have very flexible hours during the week through the Summer. Please let me know if you have any questions, I look forward to speaking with you! 😊 My schedule this summer is currently wide open! This makes it easy to adapt pet care seemingly into my routine. I am available weekdays and weekends. I may sure they each receive the right amount of exercise in addition to the endless love. In your home I can easily adapt my schedule to fit you and your pups needs while providing that same love, attention and exercise!
About: Growing up, my family welcomed many rescued animals into our home, from a beagle mix and a golden retriever to a Jack Russell terrier, turtle, guinea pig, bunny, and even a horse. My love for animals inspired me to start pet sitting for friends and family in high school, giving me experience caring for a variety of pets, including pit bulls, greyhounds, golden retrievers, Australian shepherds, and cats. Kaiti is a freelance photographer who works from home, which allows her plenty of time to visit, walk, and shower your pets with love. Quixem, her partner, is a journalist for KING 5 by day and joins her for overnight pet sitting. While Quixem is allergic to cats, Kaiti can still check in on your feline friends and keep them entertained whenever needed. When caring for pets in my home or my client's home, I prioritize safety, trust, and a comfortable environment to ensure pets feel secure and happy. I make sure to understand each pet’s unique needs and routines, from feeding schedules to favorite activities, so I can provide care tailored specifically to them. Building trust with pets and their owners is essential to me. I offer meet-and-greets before any new sitting arrangement to allow pets to get comfortable with me. For each stay, I send regular updates, photos, and notes on how your pet is doing, so you feel connected and reassured. My goal is to make you feel confident that your pet is in caring, capable hands.
About: Took care of my neighbors dogs as a teen and continued taking care of acquaintances dogs and cats for the last few years. I have taken care of my own 2 rabbits, cat, and dogs. I have taken care of senior dogs who need special care and have experience with dogs with aggression. I work Wednesday to Sunday in the early morning, (off at noon) so I have time throughout the afternoon and weekends to care for your pets. I respect client privacy and take care of their pets in the way they desire. If that includes scooping litter in the bathroom or playing with their pup out in the backyard that is what I’ll do. All up to your preference.
“Karina is very communicative and flexible; several times, she’s has been available at very short notice. Even more importantly, my dogs love her! They have been very excited to see her before walks and sad to see her go after. I highly recommend Karina.”

About: I’ve always had a love for animals since I was a kid. I’ve owned multiple dogs and cats throughout the years. I worked for almost 2 years at a doggy daycamp/hotel and am currently working as a vet assistant. I’m very empathetic, patient, kind and understanding to all animals. I honestly have too big of a heart for them, even if you don’t ask I will likely play with your pet, and “pluck” them too (it’s a very satisfying way animals in nature help deshed they’re pack). I take care of my own cat Tinkerbell but she’s pretty lax. Being a full time Vet Assistant can make it hard to take care of pets but as long as you’re willing to work with and around my 4 x 10’s schedule we should be fine! I’ll make as much time as I can for your babies while making sure to give time to myself as well. My own home is very lax, the family dog has a good understanding of where she can and can’t go regarding the yard. My cat usually likes to sit in my lap or be pet. Sometimes I’ll come over to the dog and notice she needs a brushing/deshed or her floppy ears have a lot of wax in them and will take the time to clean them out. On occasion I will take my cat out in her backpack to get some enrichment time as well.
About: Hi! I’m a 21-year-old college student looking to earn some extra cash doing something I genuinely enjoy—spending time with animals. I’ve always loved pets and feel comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping your pet company, I’ll make sure they’re safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I’m reliable, easy to communicate with, and flexible with scheduling. Looking forward to meeting you and your furry friend! Full time college student with tons of availability. I will have more available days than unavailable days. I shouldn’t have any scheduling conflicts. I look forward to working together! I have a fenced yard, I live in a neighborhood, and the volume is very quiet. Your pet will be 100% comfortable when staying with me.
“Juan came by to take care of our kitties and it was perfect. He was communicative, respectful of our house, and did everything exactly as we wanted. Definitely rebooking with him again for Kitty care.”

I am fully open as I am between season outdoor work. I spend the summers as a whitewater river guide and the winter as a ski instructor. Amazing neighborhood foe walks, daily trips to the dog park and small fenced in yard. Lady sleep in a cage so tour love one can either also have a cage or enjoy the bed.
“She is great and goes out of her way to make sure your pet is comfortable and happy, she was really good about sending me pictures of my dog. I was really happy to find him in good health.”

About: I’ve cared for cats and dogs since I was 12 and currently have two big dogs and one cat at home who are friendly and used to other animals and people. I handle my cat’s daily care like feeding, playing, and cleaning, and I also have experience giving medication every 12 hours and insulin shots while pet sitting long-term. I’m reliable, patient, and always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. I currently work a full-time job Monday through Friday from 8:00am–3:00pm. Because of this, I’m available for pet care in the late afternoons and evenings on weekdays, as well as all day on weekends. I also do online Running Start through Bellevue College, which is self-paced and completed from home, so it doesn’t interfere with my availability. For house sitting, I’m able to stay in your home and care for your pets throughout the day. I can provide care in the mornings before work, check in on them during my breaks, and be fully available again once I’m home in the afternoon and evening. Outside of my work hours, I have plenty of time to give your pets attention and care. I have two large, friendly dogs at home. While I don’t have a fenced yard, I’m very used to taking my dogs on longer walks and letting them out every couple of hours for exercise and bathroom breaks. I also take them to the dog park so they can safely run and get their energy out. I make sure every pet gets plenty of attention, activity, and supervision to keep them happy and safe.
“I needed some help walking my dog due to an injury. Jojo was able to help on short notice. She’s friendly and reliable. My dogs a little shy around new people, but was clearly happy to see her after a couple days. If he’s happy I’m happy 😊 😸”

About: Hiya, the name’s Claudia! I work as a wildlife scientist/graduate student, and have adopted cats and dogs in my life. My travel schedule doesn’t allow me to own a pet anymore, but I would love to care for yours! Due to my background I have experience with both puppies, small dogs, and large dogs — typically up to Great Dane size! I’ve trained my own dogs and helped train the pets of people I know personally. Animal care and nutrition is not a new realm for me. During sitting, I willing to stay or not stay at the property of the owner upon request. We simply have a property of our own so I don’t mind pet sitting here! For transparency we currently do have a cat in our house, who is verified friendly with other pets, but for comfortability we keep our cat in a separate part of the house to make clients feel relief if the pet is hosted in our home. Dogs and cats are built differently, and I accept both high energy cattle dogs or older dogs/cats that may just want to lounge simply. I do love hiking on weekends, so if you’re okay with your companion being taken on walks, please let me know! Due to the fact I am working as a graduate researcher and don’t get paid in summer. This is a part-time job for me, and I am lucky it allows me to give more attention to pets simultaneously! On weekends I love going on hikes — very experienced hiker — or spending time at new cafes. I try to incorporate a walk or run into my daily routine, so I definitely don’t mind walking dogs at all (or even cats)! Getting active and outside is a key component of life so the high energy requirements from dogs is no issue. We live on 2-acres of property with a large yard! We keep our cat separated in a different section of the house so nobody worries. Both have access to separate outdoor spaces so don’t worry!! While I love hikes, I am only willing to bring a clients pet upon approval or request. Pets cared for by me, and in our household, will receive a lot of love!! In addition, I don’t mind enforcing training into the care; however, I ask that you either provide treats for training or approve treats I have!

Bolt got his usual exercise in, played a lot of fetch and some pool time too. We will leverage Carrie’s time and services in the future for sure. Thank you!”

“Diana and her kids are wonderful! They last minute helped us out and cared for our silly pup Olive. The boys kept Olive busy and Diana is an excellent communicator. I only wish they lived closer to us. 10/10 would recommend!”

“Amin was a great sitter for Duke, he took my request last minute and saved me from stress of not having someone less than 24hrs. He was communicative as needed and Duke seemed to have enjoyed himself. I sent dukes bed and it was not so clean because our frenchy is a messy guy and Amin even returned it washed 🥹 he totally didn’t have to do that Great sitter and we would use him again!”

“Bryan treated our pups like family with a level of care and attention well above and beyond expectation. They really made it easy for a couple of nervous dogs. Thank you so much we will be back!”

“This was Sassy’s first stay with Kaylie. She did great! Kaylie communicates quickly and often. She sent pictures and a video. Even though I could see that Sassy was really happy to see me, she was also clearly very comfortable with Kaylie. Major relief! Strong recommend!”

“Ashley was wonderful with our pup. She provided updates and photos. Our dog has some anxiety issues and she kept up informed of his behavior during the stay. She was very kind and caring. Thank you Ashley, we really appreciate you taking care of our Porter while we were away. If you are considering using Ashely to take care of fur baby, don't hesitate as she is amazing.”

“Valerie and Keith were amazing hosts for our Leroy. They were great at communicating with us and sharing photos of his time with them. Would gladly recommend and will definitely have him stay with them again.”

“Anping cared for my two cats when I was out of town for 5 days. We had a meet and greet in advance. He was very accommodating with drop off and pick up times and sent lots and lots of pics and videos to let me know the fur babies were doing well. I highly recommend him. The street in front of his house is quite narrow so ask if you can park in the driveway for dropoff/pickup.”

“Fantastic dog parents, could not be any happier! Our labradoodle suffers from separation anxiety and is generally wary of a new place, but she took to Arun and Saumya like a fish to water. They constantly engaged her with activities and games and dog walks, and she bonded very well here. A great week long staycation and their care helped with immense peace of mind. Heartily recommend them to anyone seeking dog parents for a vacation / break.”
