Highly-rated overnight sitters - Dole
“Overall, had a really great experience leaving my pup with Araceli! I happened to be gone two weekends in a row and I was really grateful to be able to have my dog in the same place. He really enjoyed playing with their dog and in their big yard! The only bummer is that both weekends I asked Araceli to give my puppy a specific supplement after dinner and that didn’t happen, even after I reminded her for the second weekend. She is very sweet and would work with her again!”

“Kristen and Kasey are amazing dog sitters. They provided frequent updates and photos and even sent our dog home with a hand painted portrait of him ? we really feel like we hit the jackpot finding them!!”
“Carolyn is an amazing sitter and takes such great care of our dog. We have used her before and will absolutely continue to reach out to her when we need a sitter in the future. She sends lots of pictures and videos, and always seems to make sure our dog is getting plenty of attention and love. Thank you, Carolyn!! Tato already misses you!”

“We are repeat clients and each time , they have always gone above and beyond when it comes to taking care of our pup. We get daily updates/ photos and if there is any issues they communicate very well. They are also extremely flexible and understanding. Our pup loves it there, he gets so excited when we get there and doesn’t want to leave. I highly recommend and will always use them in the future!”

“I've had Steve watch my 1 year old dog twice now and can't say enough good things about him! He is a multi-dog sitter who has been wonderful with large dog packs. Steve sends pictures and videos when ever I ask for a check in. He has been flexible with pick up and drop off. He asks all the right questions up front. Steve is my go-to sitter from now on. His home is lovely and he has a beautiful yard for the dogs to play in. Both if his own dogs are happy and so sweet to me and Jade whenever we visit. I am SO grateful to have a person so close that I fell so comfortable bringing my dog to.”

“Our Heidi stayed with Allison for a week. This is the third time Heidi has stayed with Allison and the longest visit. Allison takes such good care of her. Of course we miss Heidi, but we can certainly enjoy our vacation knowing that she is so well cared for.”

“Yuting was great. She communicated daily and sent video and pics throughout our time away. Dave was exercised daily and had plenty of play time with her pups as well! Thanks, Yuting!”

“I’m so glad we hired Jenny to watch our golden retriever and Rhodesian Ridgeback while we were out of town for 5 days! She sent an update every day with pictures and was so nice and accommodating. My dogs looked very comfortable and like they were having a blast at “puppy dog camp” as I was calling it. I was very nervous to leave them with someone because we always have family watch them, but this time we all went on a trip together. I would definitely hire Jenny if the need arises again. My dogs came home safe, tired, and happy.”

“Cali just loves Gary and Carol. Her visits are always great. If you need any dog care I highly recommend them. I never have to worry when she is in there care.”

“Colleen took really great care of our medium poodle. She sent multiple pictures everyday, and it looked like my skittish poodle got along well with her chill Jackson. Wonderful care and service. Highly recommend Colleen!”

“My dog had a great time with Emily and her dog Bowie! Emily provided lots of updates and pictures. He got lots of walks and was able to enjoy her fenced in yard. Olive and Bowie were 2 peas in a pod by the end 🩷. I definitely recommend booking with Emily, especially if you have a nervous dog that needs some extra love. Thank you for making Olives first night away so enjoyable for everyone! Kaitlin”

“We felt very comfortable leaving our dog with Sandy for a long weekend--she obviously knows dogs and takes a great interest in them! Even our super-shy dog wanted to play in her great backyard! ”

“The people in this home made Mabel feel welcomed and loved. How do I know? All of the pictures and updates Christine sent me! I was able to work out of town without worrying about my girl, Mabes. My work can be stressful, and not having to worry about Mabel means so much to me. I will definitely want Mabel to go back to Christine's home!”

“Frida was great, I got updates on my dog and some pictures and videos. He got along good with her dog and I’m happy they were able to have each other for company. I will definitely book again!”

“My dog Franklin had a great time with Brianna and her family! Her kids are so sweet and respectful. Frank loved them! Brianna was very communicative and sent frequent updates with pictures.”

“Tony did an excellent job taking care of Benny. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of his services. He kept us well informed with messages photos and videos. I feel very comfortable leaving Benny with him and definitely will try multiple return visits.”

“Jennifer was great with my 3 dogs who have never been boarded at someone else’s house and two of them were a little nervous. They came around in no time, had the choice of sleeping with her if they wanted to, lots of room to play, and got along great with her dogs. We’ll definitely be back.”

“Lisa is such a kind, easy going, and thoughtful person. She takes the time to learn and carry out your pet’s care instructions, and also sent photos + well being updates every day. The best part of Lisa’s care was seeing Rooster so happy and content in her home, not rushing out the door when we arrived to pick him up. She has a perfect home away from home!”

My goal is for your cat to feel safe, comfortable, and completely at home!

About: I’ve had dogs, cats, and exotic pets me whole life! I absolutely adore animals and enjoy spending time with them. I’ve had big and little dogs, cats, lizards, fish . And would love to take care of your family members as I would my own! I’m currently shifting to an opening schedule but it is a bit crazy, depending on distance from my work I can let out during my lunches as well. I do tend to stay at the house I’m sitting at so the pet doesn’t feel alone I won’t be able to bring pets to my home as unfortunately my dog is reactive. So I will not offer bording. But am more than happy to meet your pet in your home! I usually will ask for a favorite treat or snack for the pet and pick it up as a peace offering. I enjoy playtime and snuggles with all types of pets

“Michaela was flexible, communicative and a good listener, thorough and conscientious. We appreciated knowing that our animals were well cared for while out of town. Highly recommended.”

About: Hi! I’m Darsi. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities-whether it’s high-energy pups who need long walks or older dogs who enjoy a slower pace and lots of cuddles. I currently have a black lab who is 4. I am reliable, patient, and I treat every dog like they are my own. Safety and happiness are my top priorities, and I always aim to make every walk fun-for both pets and humans! Whether it’s a quick potty break or a long adventure, I’m here to make tails wag and paws happy. Can’t wait to meet your furry best friend! I am available at any time to care for your furry friends! I am in school right now to get my real estate license so have the freedom to do that when I want. I currently do not offer boarding in my home or stay in clients homes right now. I do drop-in services or dog walking at this time.

About: Over the years, I’ve gained plenty of experience caring for cats of all personalities—playful, shy, or independent. Whether it’s feeding, cleaning litter boxes, providing plenty of affection (or space when they need it), or keeping them entertained, I’m here to ensure your cat feels safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I’ll also keep you updated so you can rest easy knowing your feline friend is in good hands.
About: I’ve been loving on four-leggeds for as long as I can remember—and I’ve meant every second of it. Over the past 15 years, I’ve raised two mastiffs (a Fila and a Cane Corso), both topping 180 lbs—so I’m very comfortable with big personalities and even bigger pups. My heart dog, Gauge, lived to 15, and losing him last March felt like losing a piece of myself. Caring for animals has always felt like a privilege to me. Earning their trust? That’s everything. I know every home has its own rules—whether your dog is crate-trained or couch-spoiled—and I’ll always follow your preferences to a T. That said… dogs here are treated like family. Think cozy, calm, and lots of attention. I’m a little (okay, very) obsessed with making sure they feel safe, happy, and completely at home. I’m fully prepared with all the accoutrements (think toys, high-quality treats, etc) to make your babies stay feel like their home away from home. And I simply can’t wait! If I’ve been hired to take care of someone’s fur baby, then that is my number 1 priority. I build my day around the dog’s needs. I make time for what’s necessary, and being a long time dog owner myself, having dogs in the house just comes naturally. Walks happen daily with or without pups around, so having a dog to join me would just be an added *major bonus. Potty breaks and special care requests are something I just tend to as needed. I care for pets in either my home or my clients home to my clients specifications. I do have a fully fenced back yard with a large grassy area. There’s an off-leash dog park right down the street from me that’s never very busy. I’d love to be able to take pups to the park. I also walk everyday and will be taking the dog on walks with me. I have a 5 year old son who loves animals and loves to help out with ‘the chores’ that come along with animal care.

About: I’ve been caring for cats for over 20 years and have experience with cats of all ages, personalities, and needs. As a veterinary technology student and former veterinary assistant, I’m comfortable recognizing signs of illness, administering basic medications, and providing attentive, compassionate care. Whether your cat loves to play, cuddle, or simply enjoys a quiet companion, I’ll tailor my visits to their unique personality. I treat every cat as if they were my own and provide detailed updates, photos, and plenty of love while you’re away. 🐾💕

About: I recently worked at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington for 2 years; My position here was Animal Care Technician II, where I worked with many different animals from different backgrounds everyday, but I specialized in feline care. I performed basic animal husbandry, including feeding, cleaning (especially litter boxes), daily health monitoring, safe and stress-free handling, as well as behavior management, and administering medications and vaccinations. I've handled care for cats with zoonotic illnesses, including upper respiratory illnesses (cat cold) and ringworm. A large part of my job entailed working with and educating adopters and existing owners on feline behavior and needs, ensuring responsible adoptions and a perfect home environment for all cats with different needs. I've even spent so much time working with barn cats that they turned lap cat! I hold myself to the highest standard of making sure all animals feel safe and comfortable, and having an understanding of animal boundaries and cues. Aside from my professional experience, I have also sporadically had kittos of my own for over 10 years.

Perfect for high energy dogs - Dole
“Tashi is doing well! Looks forward to going to doggie daycare with Brianna. Today, he tried to sneak out to the car when I left! He loves being around the kids and other dogs. Thank you for taking great care of him!”

“Emily & Eric took great care of our pups while we were visiting from out of town for a family Christmas party. We appreciate them being so accommodating with the festivities ending a little later than expected. Our fur babies were obviously very comfortable in their home because they are so calm in their crates in the car at the moment. We will definitely leave our girls with Emily and Eric again when we are back in Vancouver!”

About: I've been an animal lover my whole life. I have taken care of all types of animals. Friends and neighbors have always trusted me to take care of their animals, starting at a young age. I have taken in strays, rescued several dogs from shelters. I also volunteered for an animal rescue for several years and have fostered animals from time to time. I am the person who finds the pets at an event and stays with them the whole time. I have experience with dogs, cats including puppies and kittens, seniors, and animals with medical needs. I currently work only about 5-8 hours a week and have plenty of time to cuddle and walk your pets. Spending time with animals is my favorite thing to do. I will walk your dog twice a day, and can also take your pets on drives (with my pet seatbelt and/or car seat) if that's something you would like. Daily belly rubs are always included :) I have a fenced back yard. Pets are welcome to all areas of my home and always allowed on the couches and bed. I also have a comfortable dog car seat for dogs under 50 lbs as well as a collar/harness seatbelt restraint for larger dogs. I will take up to 3 dogs at a time, if your dog loves to be social (My home is two-story, with multiple dog gates should your dog need a break also). If your dog prefers to be the only animal around, please let me know and I'll let you know if I can arrange that.
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Jared is exceptional. Jared took wonderful care of my two dogs, Sebastian and Francesca, and I couldn’t be more grateful. From the moment we connected, his communication was clear, thoughtful, and reassuring. He was attentive to their needs, patient, and genuinely kind, exactly the kind of person you hope to find when trusting someone with your fur babies. Sebastian and Francesca were happy, calm, and clearly well cared for when I picked them up, which speaks volumes. It’s obvious Jared takes his role seriously and treats animals with real respect and care, not just as a job but as a responsibility. I would absolutely trust him again without hesitation and highly recommend him to anyone looking for reliable, compassionate, top-tier pet care. Thank you, Jared🌹you truly went above and beyond.”

“Jenny was great! She was able to accept a very last minute request for doggie daycare. My pups came home last night and they are still snoozy today. I will definitely use Jenny again! :)”
“Brandi and her husband took care of Sparky and Remi really well. I’m glad they played together whole time with Brandi’s pup, Nala. We definitely will request another daycare service from Brandi if we need!!”

“Jennifer was amazing! She was so kind and patient with our 4-month-old puppy, Caboose. She has a fully fenced yard and two adorable dogs who kept him entertained all day. Jennifer kept us updated throughout the day, which we loved. Our puppy had a few potty accidents, and she was incredibly understanding about it. We’re so grateful she cared for Caboose like he was her own. We would absolutely book with her again!”

About: I have experience providing attentive pet care, including administering medication to cats safely and calmly. I cared for a kitten with asthma, monitoring symptoms closely and ensuring medication was given on schedule. I am patient and gentle, helping pets stay comfortable and stress-free during treatment. As a teacher, I have summers off and a very flexible schedule during that time. During the school year, I’m available in the evenings and on weekends for pet sitting and drop-ins. I keep a safe, calm home for pets—run by two cats and one dog who think they’re in charge. I understand pet dynamics and make sure every animal feels comfortable and cared for.
About: Hello Rover friends! I am a stay at home mom and would love to help sit your pets in our home. I have an open schedule and a big yard! We have a 10 yr old Lab/germen Shepard mix who loves having play dates and having friends over at our home. We do not have a fenced yard but I can take your pup on plenty of walks in our yard! I have tons of time to take good care of your furry babies, we have a ton of space on our 2 acre lot to play with your pup and take them for walks. We have three adults in the house and 1 child, so plenty if supervision. My dog is has an electric collar so he has a boundary he does not cross, I keep dogs that are prone to be curious on a leash since my yard is not fenced. I keep dogs separated when eating.
“Brenlee loves other dogs and Yiwen sent pictures of Brenlee laying right next to her dog and walking with her dog - so the fact that they were that close means that he had a great day. Yiwen worked with me on the dropoff times which was great. Brenlee had so much fun he slept the whole way home.”

“Maryorie was friendly and great with communication. It was my first rover experience and it was nice to get a picture update after drop off and report about how he did at the end of the day. I appreciate how she did a meet and greet before hand to ensure my dog and her dogs would get along and so that we could get to know her. Looking forward to booking with her again!”

“This was my first time ever using Rover and using a dogsitter outside of family and friends. It was a wonderful experience! Lousie is a very warm and friendly person. She kept me updated on my two fur babies throughout the day and sent me photos. I recommend her!”

About: I’ve taken care of family and friends dogs, cats and Guinea pigs for years. Shy or energetic I love them all as my own! I’ve taken care of animals who were puppies/ kittens to senior care/ needing extra love and medication. I’m a mama to an English bulldog and love all animals. I hope to make your family more at ease knowing I will take care of your fur baby as my own! My husband and I are WFH and have two tiny humans with me so your fur baby will always be with someone. Our sweet English bulldog recently passed away at 11 1/2 years old and we are looking to help families who need boarding and we can give all the extra love to their fur babies while they are away. Being a mama to an English bulldog means being on it with cleanliness, supplements and exercise. I believe pets are fur babies so have no fear your fur baby will get all the love and attention!

“Dominique took such great care of our babies! It felt so good knowing they were someplace where they were getting just as much love and attention as they get at home.”

About: I love working with all types of animals. I'm a passionate outdoor girl that loves any type of adventure and love to take my girls everywhere to, so let me take yours with me! On my farm, I care for dogs, cats, and chickens! I have taught them to co-exist and also be themselves at the same time. Patience, love and lots of treats along with their favorite toy or exercise type whether it is 1-1 or a the dog park! To me it is about adapting to them and seeing the happy wags and the toothy (sometimes weird) smiles! We love to do adventures outdoors if they are up for it, but sometimes they may need a little TLC while you are gone so that's ok too. I have a very flexible schedule where I live and work from home and adjust my schedule to suit them. Nature calls and when it does, time to go! Also, when they need extra attention of a little hug or extra treat, it's about mind reading in a way, and I love trying to figure out their little brains! Most people and their pets have a routine. That's important. It's about communication and understanding the basic needs in life. Also, most importantly how many beds they get to have! Rules are rules and happy to follow any that come along. My house is flexible as there is literally nothing they can hurt or damage that cannot be easily replaced or fixed. Although my goal is to wear them out where they only need some treats, love and a nice soft bed from the start of the morning until they are out for the count.
“Elaine is great. I had to change my appointment a few times due to work and she was very understanding and flexible. She was able to set up a playdate and we came over and met her, her family and pets. Very communicative throughout the day. I have an elderly pup with bladder cancer and Elaine really cared for her and asked questions throughout the day. I highly recommend and will be using her again.”
“Genevieve went above and beyond for me and my dog today. It was a last minute request for a new dog to spend the day with her and because I wouldn't be able to drive in the evening she dropped him off for me. So unbelievably helpful. I got pictures of him having way too much fun and I could tell when she was leaving how much he liked her. Knowing he was being so taken care of today made things so much easier. Thank you”

Adventure-ready dog walkers - Dole

About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 10 years and have experience with a wide variety of pets, from ponies to puppies. I’ve provided walks, drop-in visits, overnight stays, playtime, feeding, medication administration, and plenty of love and attention along the way. I have a combination of hands on experience and animal knowledge. I’ve lived on a mini farm mh entire life, shadowed my sister who is an ER veterinarian, and as a pre-med student, I am attentive, responsible, and detail oriented. I have had many pets of my own, so I understand how important it is to trust someone with a member of your family! My goal is always to return pets happier, with their tails wagging and owners smiling!! I work part-time with a flexible schedule, which gives me availability throughout the week and weekends for walks, drop-ins, and overnight care. When I’m not working, I’m spending time with my animals, staying active, and making sure your pets receive the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. I keep my schedule updated and prioritize reliability, communication, and consistency so you can feel confident that your pet is in good hands! I primarily provide care in my clients homes, allowing pets to stay comfortable in their familiar environment, walk their neighborhoods, and maintain their normal routines. Whether I’m stopping by for a walk, a drop-in visit, or an overnight stay my goal is to make the experience as stress-free as possible for both pets and owners. For pets that may need care in my home, I do not have any indoor pets, providing a calm environment and comfortable space for my visitors! I also have access to a secure outdoor kennel that can be set up if needed!
About: I have had dogs for my entire life! I currently have 2 dogs. Both are Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Trinity is our senior girl 13 yrs old, and Shira who is 2. I have had the most experience with big dogs (mainly German Shepherds and now Rhodesian Ridgebacks). I have done Schutzhund with my shepherds and have done dog shows and obedience shows locally with my Ridgebacks. Our dogs and the ones I take care of are always my priority. I treat all dogs like they are mine so they get all the love, snuggles, and attention they want. I have a safe and secure home and yard. We have a 3/4 acre completely fenced back yard fenced to 6 feet high. We are in the country and have lots of bunnies for them to chase. We also have a creek on our property that in good weather would be fun for the dogs to play in. I have some agility equipment that I will break out when the weather is nice and let dogs go through those or show them how. For rainy days we have toys and dog puzzles to keep their minds active. We also have a shop that I can put up agility equipment when the weather is lousy and cold so they can chase each other around in there if they are getting antsy. I also do daily obedience with my own dog and any other dog that is with me and wants to join in. While most of my experience has been with big dogs, I will work with any style and breed of dog after I meet them and we get to know each other. I also have experience working with packs of dogs, as at one time, I had a large pack of both German Shepherds, and then Ridgebacks. I also have a lot of experience working with puppies and can help with basic training. I seem to have a knack to help dogs who normally don’t eat or are very nervous when being left with someone else. I have had many boarders who’s moms and dads said were picky eaters or wouldn’t eat for a couple of days and somehow with me they eat well, don’t miss meals, and many times expand their diets. If you have a dog that takes medication I can, and have, administered meds that their parents bring. But I will only administer prescription meds written by a licensed veterinarian to the specific dog with explicit instructions. Bottom line, I don’t just “board” dogs. They are part of the family and treated as such until you get back. They Are talked to, interacted with by my dogs and myself and my husband all day long. They aren’t just put in a room or left outside to fend for themselves. They are truly being loved and cared for from the minute they are dropped off until the minute you pick them up. My husband and I are retired so I am full time at home now. So I can board 7 days a week. And overnight care at my house will be my specialty as you never have to worry about your dog being left for hours during the day or night. I have a very “dog friendly” home. That being said my house is clean and fairly tidy. I clean daily to make sure the dogs are in the best environment. My goal is to have your dog go home with you better than when they came. If they are full of mud from playing outside in the rain they will be washed and dried before they go home. If their nails are too long I will cut them (if the dog allows). If they need to be brushed, I will brush them and often give them a massage…this is especially good for the nervous dogs. If they are scared and feel nervous they will be returned happy and calm from being pampered while you were away. Our dogs are allowed on the furniture including our bed and can play inside or outside with my dogs who are very friendly to other dogs and people. I don’t crate any of my dogs and don’t require dogs that stay with me to be crated during the day or night. If you prefer your dog to be crated at night I will follow your instructions if you bring the crate that they are used to. Many of the dogs that I board sleep in our bed but they also have very plush beds throughout our home that they can sleep on overnight or during the day for naps. Wherever they feel more comfortable sleeping is fine with me even if they don’t want to be in our room with us and our dogs.

About: I’ve taken care of mainly dogs for 7 years of all ages and sizes. I know how to take care of senior and young pets, whether it’s training them or giving them the right amount of medication at certain times, and if they need assistance going up/down stairs if they’re not able to. I’m currently looking for work and I am also thinking of going back to school, and I have a lot more free time now so I thought that I would put my time to use and help other people with their pets. I care for my parents older dogs (13 and 14 y/o) by making sure they are let outside whenever they need to, I take them on walks almost daily, I have also given them medication when they have needed it, adjusted their food diet and included wet food since they’re getting older, and I also take them to and from their vet/grooming appointments.
About: I have helped care for many friends and family’s furry friends over the last few years. Feeding them while they are away, pet sitting, taking them on walks, giving them all the pets and cuddles, bathroom breaks, etc. I am here to keep your furry friend active, healthy, and entertained while you are away while also providing updates throughout the duration of your vacation. I currently work part-time from 5 AM to 10 AM on Fridays, Saturdays, Sunday’s, and Mondays, so I’m available anytime after 10 AM on those days. With the flexibility of my online classes, I can adjust to your schedule to ensure your furry friend feels loved and well cared for. I’ll make sure they get all the attention, playtime, and care they need to stay happy and comfortable while you’re away. When caring for your furry friends, I’ll always take extra precautions to ensure their safety. Before leaving, I’ll do a quick check around your home to make sure nothing is left out that your pup or cat could get into, and I’ll inspect the backyard to ensure the fence is secure with no gaps for escape. As a proud pet parent to two small pups, one larger sized dog, one medium-sized pup, and an elder cat who are my absolute world, I understand how important it is for your pets to feel loved and safe. I promise to care for your fur baby as if they were my own—showering them with the same attention, affection, and care. If you have any questions or special requests, please don’t hesitate to reach out—I’m always happy to help!

I treat every pet like they’re my own: lots of affection, structured routines, and zero shortcuts when it comes to their comfort and safety. I follow all feeding schedules, walk routines, medication instructions, and household rules exactly as given. I keep environments clean, calm, and low-stress, especially for anxious or senior pets.

As a nursing major at Clark College, I bring strong attention to detail, reliability, and compassionate care to every animal I watch. I’m confident adapting to each pet’s unique needs and making sure they feel completely comfortable while you’re away! Every morning I wake up and feed my dog and go outside with him, and during the day we go on a hour walk if he hasn't been outside. I do live on property so most of the time me or my family is outside and he plays outside with us. I've always had a love for animals and I think getting exercise is really important so I love to go on walks and play with my animals!

Kaitlin”

“Mary and Randy took excellent care of our dog! They were professional, friendly, and communicated clearly throughout our dog's stay. Their property is well-kept with great safety protocols, and our dog came home happy, tired, and clearly well-loved. It felt like he had been staying with family, not just a sitter. Highly recommend! We will be back! Thank you!! 😊”

“My dog Bailey had a great time with Elaine and her menagerie. Lots of walks and many other dogs to play with. Elaine kept me updated on Bailey’s status and activities every day, including photos, which brought me peace of mind while I was traveling. Very convenient to Portland Airport, so I will definitely board here again next time I’m flying out of PDX.”

“Our cat and dog were left in good hands with Leah and Chris. We got daily feedback and pictures. We could tell our dog got the exercise he needed and daily activities. In the past when we picked up our cat at sitters he comes to us ready to come home, but this time he just laid there looking at us in the other room, ignoring us when we called him to come. You can tell our animals were well taken care of and were happy.”
