Our girls usually don't eat much/if at all when staying with a dog sitter because they get separation anxiety being away from their family but they ate with Margaret which told me everything. Our girls were happy, safe, and comfortable. Margaret's other dog Mochi was a sweet heart too who was patient with our nervous pups. One of our dogs is scared of any dog bigger than her but Mochi gave her space and was gentle during our meet and greet. About: I’ve always had dogs and cats in my life, and caring for animals has always come naturally to me. I’m an avid hiker and have been lucky to share many trails with amazing “trail dogs” over the years. I’ve also pet sat for coworkers, doing drop-ins multiple times a day, and I’m currently providing overnight care for a puppy—something I truly enjoy. Over time, I realized this is something I’d love to do more of. When I say “us,” I mean my little household too: I have a mixed-breed dog and a cat. In the other hand, Kai is a medium size old doggy, he gets very excited with new pets but a few minutes later he just ignore them and likes to go back to take long naps on the couch. I have 2 friendly indoor cats, they mostly spend the day sleeping inside the bedroom or playing with the dogs from time to time.

About: I have always lived with and cared for cats and dogs my whole life, but I have also have several positions over the past 15 years caring for various other animals. My first professional animal caregiving experience was at Pioneer Park Nature Center in Lincoln, NE. There, I provided enrichment and care to a wild variety of animals, including owls, hawks, vultures, snakes, turtles, and salamanders. I have also lived on farms where I cared for dogs, rabbits, goats, sheep, ducks, and chickens. In California, I volunteered for 2 years at a wildlife hospital where I cared mainly for songbirds. There, I learned how to administer medication and provide foster care for baby squirrels and raccoons. The care of animals has always been central to my personal, professional, and even my academic life. I love all animals, but I am by far a cat person. I grew up with five cats and two dogs. Currently, I have a sweet old man cat named Little One. I have a lot of availability because I work seasonal, conducting bird surveys for a non-profit in Idaho in the spring and summer. In my life I've had many different types of dogs as well as a ferret, fish, a snake, and a few birds. I'm an advocate for any animal no matter what the shape size or species. I believe they all deserve a chance. I think this is just another way of helping out those people that want a sitter but can't afford Petco or other hotels.
About: I have trained my own heeler puppy since she was 10 weeks old. As well as helped raise another cattle dog until he was 8yo and have cared for and loved many different animals over the years I'm working part time and make up my own schedule. So I will usually have plenty of time for giving animals lots of attention and love. I have my own very sweet 2yo heeler that has been friendly with all dogs. And a sizeable backyard for supervised playtime. I value patience and calmness making the most out of positive reinforcement to promote good behavior.

“Caelyn was so amazing with Cheddar! I had to have a surgery that took me out of commission for quite a few days and I booked Caelyn to walk Cheddar once a day during my initial recovery. Cheddar is usually very timid but warmed up immediately to her and they were best friends by the last day! She always came home tired and out of breath which is exactly what I needed. Caelyn also takes the cutest photos during the walks which always puts a smile on my face when they return to my house. Definitely plan on booking regularly with Caelyn :)”

About: For several years I cat and dog sat for my cousins while they were on vacation, and I occasionally care for my friend’s 3 legged pitbull. For my last job I was I walking a wire haired pointing griffin twice a week. I did this for about 3 and a half years. I myself have a chihuahua and have had cats throughout my life:) Whether it’s all day or just a drop in, I can be flexible depending on what kind of care you’re looking for. I was able to do a meet and greet prior where my dog, Trowa, was able to meet the other sweet pups staying at Jerrie’s. Trowa instantly hit it off with the others and had lots of room to play and explore outside. Jerrie sent updates twice a day with tons of photos of all of the fun they were having which made us feel much more comfortable having Trowa stay somewhere else while we were gone. Our girls usually don't eat much/if at all when staying with a dog sitter because they get separation anxiety being away from their family but they ate with Margaret which told me everything. Our girls were happy, safe, and comfortable. Margaret's other dog Mochi was a sweet heart too who was patient with our nervous pups. One of our dogs is scared of any dog bigger than her but Mochi gave her space and was gentle during our meet and greet. The pictures I received showed me how relaxed the pups were, which is exactly what they needed. We have definitely found a go-to dog sitter :).”
