“I could rave about how absolutely amazing Samantha was with my Khaleesi for hours, but I’ll keep it short for reading purposes. My dog Khaleesi is a high anxiety dog and does not do well with strangers and typically hides from them. Samantha had her during the day for 3 days, and from day 1 Khaleesi took right to her. It did take some warming up time, but Samantha kept me very updated and sent pictures throughout the day. By the end of the 3 days, Khaleesi was walking into Samantha’s house without hesitation and didn’t even turn around to look at me. Samantha is incredible and I highly recommend her!!!!”
About: I grew up taking care of dogs in my neighborhood as a kid and teenager. I have always had a big love for furr animals! I work a very flexible schedule during the week that allows me to have last minute changes or needs to take care of if need be! My wife is also home with our toddler, so dogs are almost always with company. About: I changed the direction my life was going and found the REASON was Animal Care. I began volunteering at 2 local Humane Societies in 2013. Very shortly thereafter became employed at both Societies = working 7 days a week with animals. I adopted my first 2 pets (torti cats named Cali & Ava) in the Fall of 2013. Adopted a 3rd torti cat in the Spring of 2014 (named Hallie B). I adopted a chihuahua in the Fall of 2016 (named Clara my grandmother’s name). With the exception of Hallie B they have all crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The 1st in December 2020 then June 2021 and most recently in May of 2025 :-( 🐾🐾🐾 They were adopted as Seniors. They were the best. After 4 years of Humane Society work I changed direction again in 2017 to a more professional aspect of Animal Care becoming employed at a Veterinary Hospital as a Kennel Attendant for over 7 years. I have performed a number of cat drop-ins around the Gloucester area for various residents affiliated with the Humane Society. One such assignment lasted for almost two months while the cat’s owners traveled to Florida for the winter. I currently work (outside of Animal Care) OVERNIGHT 40 hours SUNDAY thru WEDNESDAY. Those days I am usually available for Animal Care from 8am to 2pm. Thursday thru Saturday I am totally available. There is some flexibility with my overnight work and the possibility of a little accommodation for Animal Care. I also have to spare some time for my own cat’s care. “Amy was amazing! We were a little nervous about leaving our dog with someone we didn't know. Amy immediately put us at ease and made us feel like our pup was the most important dog on the planet. She is extremely professional and answered all my texts quickly. She provided photos and updated us with how things were going daily. After meeting her we knew she would care for our dog like she was one of her own. She was extremely flexible at changing the dates of stay when I'd accidentally clicked the wrong days. Even though they were very last minute. Her compassion for animals is truly genuine as evidenced by the model she's set for her children. They, too, took to our dog and treated her like a real princess. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter for our pupper.”
“Amazing!! Milo stayed with Stephanie over the weekend and he had such a great time. He was walked many times for significant distances and he had a huge yard to run around and play in. We got pics twice per day and we felt very comfortable on our trip because of all the awesome updates of him having fun!! Thanks guys!!”
