About: I have cat sitting experience including kittens and a senior cat (15 years old). For the kittens, I had to administer oral antibiotics for an upper respiratory infection. I am no stranger to cleaning litter boxes and also safely handling cats if they do need to be picked up.
“Barb, The Relief Every Pet Owner Needs Over the years, I grew increasingly scared to leave my 3 cats in a stranger's care. If needed I always drove them to my parents but it became clear that the roadtrip stressed them out more than if I had just left them at home and had a stranger come by the house. As a 1st time Rover user, Barb was a perfect find! She made the whole process unbelievably breezy. She very punctual to the meet and greet she set up the same day I sent my request. I ran her through the cat's litter and feeding schedule and already felt good about her. Immediately after this meet and greet, she sent me a screenshot of the notes she took afterwards which were notes on the food/water/litter instructions we had discussed for the brief meet. This really sealed it for me; not only did Barb exhibit great memory recall but also great attention to detail which is certainly needed in pet care. I had Barb check in twice a day for my 3 cats for a total of 9 days. She is very punctual to the times discussed and an expert with sending photos of furry loved ones to ease anxieties. She also made sure I was made aware of any event that occurred immediately in the Rover Card for that very check-in time. When responding to her or asking her questions she was quick and attentive with her responses. One of my cats loves to escape and is a bit of a "queen of the house" type of cat so she gets a bit protective of "her home" and after giving Barb some tips and tricks in what we do, my cat became calmer and more accepting of Barb as more check-ins occurred. They grew closer towards the end which is a testament of Barb's personality and care qualities. My other 2 cats are shy ones so there was a worry that we wouldn't be able to confirm if they were eating or not. But eventually Barb's calm and gentle presence coaxed them out enough to be spotted for a food grab or a hydration stop every now and then. Overall, having Barb as a first time Rover sitter and first time pet sitter was a perfect match and I feel lucky to have had her watching over my pets.”

About: I first gained experience caring for cats while I was an au pair from 2016–2018. I helped my host family care for their cat by feeding, playing, cleaning the litter box, and giving insulin injections when needed. Since joining Rover, I’ve cared for cats in multiple households, with many repeat visits ranging from single drop-ins to over 10 visits for the same family. About: I've pet sit for my friends dogs and have raised a corgi puppy from 10 weeks old! I love dogs and will treat yours like mine. I have a playful and friendly corgi who plays well with all dogs. Plus I give excellent scratches. I will send a bunch of photos, as long as you don’t mind me spamming you with them! We do at least 3 walks a day, dog parks after work, and fun adventures on the weekends. Normally we eat breakfast around 8:30, go for a potty walk, and play. During the weekday, I take them out every 4 hours and do mental puzzles at home. If the weather is nice, we will go to a nearby dog park. On weekends, we tend to go out for outdoor adventures if the weather is nice I live in an apartment with ample walking nearby. Super dog friendly neighborhood. We have space to set up crates if needed. I am a neat person and will clean up after myself and the dogs.

About: I’m a pre-vet student who just graduated from UVA and has grown up with two large dogs! I’ve also recently owned a hamster from a college lab! I have a lot of experience dog and cat sitting for friends and family including puppies, kittens, and senior dogs and cats. About: Hi! I have grown up with German Shepherds all my life - mine are currently 2 and 3, so high energy! I have petsit all sizes and am open to working with all dogs. Comfort level with 1-2 dogs at a time, most open to walks and checking in. Happy to practice tricks and training with dogs, I work with my own dogs and used to work in behavioral research so I am familiar with reinforcements. I currently work full-time during the day with a commute.
