“Teona and Louelyn were great with my dog. He is stubborn about taking his medication. They worked with him several different ways to get him to take it because my dog wouldn't follow the way he does for me at home. I apprecaited their patience and care. I received updates very quickly on the first day. After that, the updates were less frequent, but when I reached out to ask, they were quick to respond. My dog went with them happily which set my heart at ease. This was the first time I had left him with someone other than family. When I picked him up, he was glad to see me, but didn't appear to be anxious or traumatized in any way. When we visit Williamsburg again, I will definitely check with them to keep my dog again.”

Once the kids are home from school, things become more active! We enjoy walks, outdoor play, and spending time together as a family. About: I have taken care of my own dogs, and helped out with others my entire life. Twice in my life we raised a puppy and I helped in training them in tricks and the potty. I also cared for our senior dog who was blind almost solely for 3 years. I love dogs and cats and I just want to help out. I currently work at restaurants on a rotating schedule so my availability fluctuates, but I am always available in the mornings before 11:30am. I would be fully comfortable taking a pet out super early, say 6am, and returning for a later morning session before going to work. I normally get off between 7-9pm, and I would of course return to let them out and play with them after that. My least busy days of the week are Monday, Tuesday, and Friday as those days I don’t normally work the entire day, either 11:30-5 or 4-8. I am super flexible and will accommodate as best I can without my schedule! I love to play with dogs and cats, fetch or tug of war are some of my dogs favorites. But I also love to take dogs on walks, I don’t mind pulling dogs or dogs that run, I can keep up. If a dog needs a little extra attention, and I have the time, I love to pet dogs and cuddle with them. I mostly just want to make the dogs comfortable while their owners are away.

About: We’re a dog-loving family with experience caring for dogs of different ages, sizes, and energy levels. We have two dogs of our own: a senior Lab/hound mix and a middle-aged Great Dane. We’re comfortable with everything from energetic playtime to older dogs who prefer a slower pace, and we’re happy to follow your dog’s normal routines, feeding schedule, and house rules. We both work hybrid schedules, so someone is home with the dogs most of the time. Dogs get regular outdoor breaks throughout the day and plenty of attention and interaction. We’re happy to accommodate dogs who need more activity as well as those who are content to relax and hang out with us. We have a large, fenced-in yard where dogs can safely get outside and play. Our fence is approximately 3 feet high and made of hog wire, so we’re best suited for dogs who aren’t jumpers or determined escape artists. Our own dogs respect the boundary. We also have a dog-loving 4-year-old, so dogs must be comfortable and safe around children. Our dogs are friendly and accustomed to sharing their space with other dogs. At night, visiting dogs sleep downstairs on their own dog bed or one of our designated “dog couches.” Crate-trained dogs are welcome to use their crate if that is what makes them most comfortable.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life. Each one with their own personalities and quirks! There is nothing more pure than the love of a dog. They are only a chapter in our lives but we are their entire book! We have to make it count!💖 I am semi retired and am looking to spend time around animals. I grew up with family dogs, and I have done petsitting for puppies and elderly dogs for friends and family, and seasonally worked on a farm where I worked with guardian dogs, sheep, cows, and chickens. I'd be so excited to take care of your pets with the love and affection they deserve! I work on weekends, so I'm available for dog walking during the day Monday-Thursday for the most part. Would love to walk dogs or sit for them in your home! Unfortunately my home can't accommodate animal boarding. I love to give animals affection and proper care. Good outside time, exploring, playing, and order are all important for making animals feel safe and secure.
About: My family has had dogs forever, ranging from small medium and large so growing up with all kinds of dogs has given me experience in how to handle any situation with any dog! I’m currently a college student and away from my dog at home and am looking for any way to have more interactions with pets. Also, my most recent dog is now 2 years old and I did the majority of training, so if there are any needs or wants for training while I am sitting, I am more than capable. I’m currently a full time student and on the William & Mary Varsity Men’s soccer team, however, I have many breaks throughout my day. The only block of the day I’m usually completely unavailable is from 2-6PM When caring for pets in clients homes you can expect the utmost respect for the home but also a willingness to learn how you usually handle your dog at home. Whether that is using the crate and having some more strict guidelines, or if it is a more relaxed environment.

About: I have grown up with animals. Dogs and cats are at the top of the list. I've been around domesticated animals all of my life. My first kittens at my young age was two siames kittens Who had 2 litters of kittens as well as having to toy poodle dogs, that had two litters of puppies twice. I must have been about 10 so it was from then that I have been loving & caring for fur babies.. Though I do not Own a dog or a cat right now, but look forward to owning some in my future.. I currently own a guinea pig. I just recently experienced the end of a pug/fur baby end of life. I took care of the pug for his last six months of life. Soon after that I boarded a beautiful pitbull for the weekend of mother's day. So to book with me, i'm sure I will have you covered.. Because I am home during the day I am a great fit for you fur baby. I love on your Fur baby while you are on occasion or just I'll have an a fun day. Because I am located across from freedom park in James City County, Williamsburg. I feel i'm in a great place to be able to get them out to go for walks and just run and play.

“Teona and Louelyn were great with my dog. He is stubborn about taking his medication. They worked with him several different ways to get him to take it because my dog wouldn't follow the way he does for me at home. I apprecaited their patience and care. I received updates very quickly on the first day. After that, the updates were less frequent, but when I reached out to ask, they were quick to respond. My dog went with them happily which set my heart at ease. This was the first time I had left him with someone other than family. When I picked him up, he was glad to see me, but didn't appear to be anxious or traumatized in any way. When we visit Williamsburg again, I will definitely check with them to keep my dog again.”

Our goal is for every dog who stays with us to have a happy, safe, and fun stay!🐶❤️ A Typical Day in Our Home 🐾 Our home has a nice balance of structure, activity, and plenty of attention for our four-legged guests. I’m a full-time teacher, so I’m at work during the school day, but I’m home after school and have afternoons and evenings to spend with the dogs. My husband has a flexible schedule and typically doesn’t start work until around 10:00 AM and is home by about 3:00 PM. This means your pup won’t be alone for long stretches of time, and there is someone around during much of the day. Our mornings are busy with getting the kids ready for school, but we make time for potty breaks, breakfast, and some attention before everyone heads out. Once the kids are home from school, things become more active! We enjoy walks, outdoor play, and spending time together as a family. We live in the gated community of Fords Colony, so the walking paths for your pup are perfect and safe. Your pup will get plenty of attention, playtime, and opportunities to relax throughout the afternoon and evening. We’re happy to follow your dog’s normal feeding, walking, potty, and medication routines as closely as possible. Our goal is to make their stay feel comfortable, safe, and as much like home as possible!
