Denver is almost 14 and so giving him the love and attention he’d get as the only dog in the home was really important to us, and not having to worry about him getting stressed out by younger dogs who constantly wanted to play for 6 days. We couldn’t have been happier. Denver was right at home, getting walks that he loves as well as plenty of chill time and attention from Jesse and Emily as well as their two girls. Jesse and Emily were great about sending us photo updates that let us know that Denver was comfy and happy. Denver is a finicky eater especially when not at home and they were great about paying attention and giving some treats here and there to get his appetite going. We would definitely leave Denver with them again!”

“Alexandra and Logan were wonderful with my (sometimes overly) curious terrier, Eddie! I am always concerned about Eddie escaping to chase an animal, and they took my concerns seriously and took steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”

All pets in my care are treated with loving and gentle guidance using only positive reinforcement. All dogs will remain on leash the entirety of their walk. We have a fenced in area off the back patio for bathroom breaks with wood chips as ground coverage. No grass of any kind for the safety of those pets with grass and skin allergies.

I’m working part time Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; so I am free before 2 pm and after 9 pm. I’m free all day Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. “Tina was so wonderful! I was a bit nervous going in as this was the first time I was leaving my 8 month old puppy with someone that I did not know. We set up a meet and greet during which my pup, Maizy displayed some anxiety, but Tina was not deterred. She knew Maizy needed to warm up at her pace and she got some treats right away to help build up some trust! She sent pictures and really helped me feel at ease that Maizy was well cared for! About: I’ve had a dog my entire life except for a few very lonely months in 2020 after I lost the love of my life, Romey, the naughtiest lab with the best sense of humor. I grew up with labs (mostly ) but now have Gizmo, a labrodoodle , who will soon become BDE (best dog ever) if he can finally learn how to not jump like a kangaroo when he sees his dog friends. I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was young. I’d walk, feed and love on my neighbors and friends pets. I hope I will be the one you call and who you can trust with your furry BFF. About: I love all types of dogs, especially the big ones (and puppies too!) I have had dogs all my life and am not afraid to care for any type of breed. I have experience with bird dogs with high energy. We currently have a bloodhound name Daisy, who is very friendly and loves playing with other dogs and animals! I prioritize safety and clear communication (with owners and dogs!) to create a comfortable experience for all. I look forward to taking care of your wonderful pets! I work from home, so I am flexible for drop-ins, last-minute needs, or regular walks, and can give your dog consistent companionship…and some fun of course! About: New to Rover, but not to pet care :) I grew up with animals great and small. I've had dogs of all sizes, cats, horses, snakes, mice, chickens, and one skunk. All of my dogs are rescues, so I'm no stranger to reactive dog care and I'm well-versed in positive reinforcement training styles. I love all animals, but I've got a real soft spot for the senior babies. I recently lost my own 16 year old pittie, so I'm comfy in a space that may require a little extra effort. I'm a weightlifter in my free time, so I can easily help any size senior with any mobility issues 💜 I'm starting on Rover after losing my 13 year career in analysis to federal funding issues. My schedule is quite flexible and free, though I do have to be home at night to care for my own four-legged family members While I'd love to offer care in my home, I do have my own pets and introducing new babies to the mix can be stressful for all involved. In your home, I will love on your fur babies as if they were my own. They'll have a cuddle buddy (if they choose), engaging playtime, and treats (if you choose). I also spend quite a lot of time at the gym I own in downtown Charlottesville, so if you'd be comfortable with field trips, I'd happily take them out for some extra socialization.

About: I am comfortable with all kinds of dogs and needs. I personally care for a GSD and a Heeler mix, and am comfortable with rambunctious and large dogs. Both of my dogs practice loose leash walking, and I love using our walks as time to tire their brains as well as their bodies. I can give medications, including subq and other injections. And I’m working on becoming a certified trainer, but for now I do not offer training services. I work a few part time gigs that change with the seasons. I have lots of flexibility to meet the needs of your pets. I generally do not go out of town during major holidays. I’m a photographer so my schedule varies. Sometimes I’m on a shoot or at home editing. I work part time at a restaurant wed-Friday so am unavailable those evenings. I am generous with my love with pets if they want that. If they are shy I will absolutely listen to what they need and let them warm up to me at their own pace. I am clean and respectful of others’ space and strive to make sure your sweet pup gets the activities they deserve.

About: I have worked with several different breeds, and personalities of dogs. I also have experience with older dogs and being sensitive to their needs as they age. About: I’ve grown up with dogs, cats, and chickens. I have been responsible for taking care of them throughout my childhood. In high school, I would dog sit for neighbors and family friends. In college, I would house sit as well as walk dogs. I currently have 1 dog of my own. I have cared for elderly dogs who require additional care as well as anxious dogs that need that extra attention and reassurance. I am home for the summer before going to law school and my schedule is very open and flexible! I love spending times with dogs and animals, so I am eager to do so this summer. My personal dog is fairly anxious and attached so I care for her by crating her when leaving for more than a couple of hours as this is a safe soothing place for her. My family’s dog is less anxious so she is fine by herself. Generally, I walk them once a day through the neighborhood, occasionally take them to dog parks, and play in the backyard with them. We have a doggy door so they go in and out frequently, but I have house sat and dog sat animals in apartment complexes where I would to take them out frequently during the day.

“We were so happy to leave our boy, Denver, with Jesse and Emily. Denver is almost 14 and so giving him the love and attention he’d get as the only dog in the home was really important to us, and not having to worry about him getting stressed out by younger dogs who constantly wanted to play for 6 days. We couldn’t have been happier. Denver was right at home, getting walks that he loves as well as plenty of chill time and attention from Jesse and Emily as well as their two girls. Jesse and Emily were great about sending us photo updates that let us know that Denver was comfy and happy. Denver is a finicky eater especially when not at home and they were great about paying attention and giving some treats here and there to get his appetite going. We would definitely leave Denver with them again!”

“Alexandra and Logan were wonderful with my (sometimes overly) curious terrier, Eddie! I am always concerned about Eddie escaping to chase an animal, and they took my concerns seriously and took steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”
