About: I have always had a dog for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs and I love them. We currently have two dogs. I have a male Golden doodle named Bo and a female Teddy Bear named Annie. I like to walk the dogs for two 30 minute walks a day. I’m a stay at home, homeschooling mom. I have a 7 year old, 10 year old, 13 year old and 16 year old at home. Everyone loves dogs. We have a routine with the dogs and they are part of the family. I don’t have a fenced in yard but I am a firm believer that dogs need to be walked. I walk my dogs for 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon on a walking path behind my house. I keep jingle bells on my door and my dogs ring them to go outside to potty. I have options to separate dogs if necessary. Dogs are separated at feeding time.

When you leave your dog with me, you can expect a laid back day with frequent leash walks and lots of cuddling on the couch. We can help with crate training, potty training, house Manners etc. We have experience with Senior dogs ( most recent passed this December 2024 at 15 years old). I have had diabetic pets so am willing to administer meds as required. I have volunteered with a local rescue for 4 years now and have fostered for that long as well and have experience dealing with many difficult behaviors like resource guarding, counter surfing and more. Here at Bark n Kuddles we are a husband and Wife team so our dogs are very rarely alone. I teach high school so during the school day my husband takes the pups on walks, and outings and provides play time and snuggle time. When I am home we share the responsibilities and our kids are trained so they love on your babies too but they know boundaries and are very good at being mini pack leaders. The only time your pet would be alone is if we had to go somewhere as a family where dogs could not come but we have two pups of our own to keep them company but again that is rare that someone is not home. We only take one or two clients at a time as we have a small home but we take the dogs out on walks (Distance depends on the dogs need but could be 2 to 3 miles easily) and I have access to a big fenced in yard that my family owns should dogs need off leash time and play time (under our watch at all times of course). We do crate dogs when home alone for their safety and to protect the house but they get yummy kongs with frozen treats and other treats as long as owner is ok with it. We love on them how the pups want to be loved on. If they want to lay next to us we let them. If they prefer to just chill off to the side that's all good too. About: I’ve always had pets my whole life of all different kinds. I’m patient and playful with animals. I have cared for mostly seniors and puppies. I currently sit a senior Boxer with arthritis so I have experience with administering meds and providing comfort. I’m working with only one family with three dogs right now, so my availability is pretty open! I also do well with a lot of pets, as I live on a small homestead. I do best in a client’s home as I believe it makes the pet the most comfortable. I also have too many animals in my personal home to feel comfortable allowing my animals to interact with other pets. My pig isn’t the biggest fan of dogs these days. I prefer a backyard when possible so I have space to play with your buddy, but I also love a long walk. Whatever is most convenient and comfortable, I can work with just about anything.
About: I have owned multiple dogs in my adulthood. I currently own a 4 year old golden who I have personally trained, and a 1.5 year old who I work with every day. I have worked at a dog day care for 5 months where I learned more about dog body language and how to diffuse any fights. I have walked and babysat dogs for friends. I consider all dogs to be my friends, because there is no such things as a bad dog. I work 12 hour night shifts Friday-Sunday. I am completely available Monday-Thursday. Because my weeks are so open then I can spend more time taking care of pups who may need extra walks. I have a friendly golden retriever who is 4 years old. She loves to play! She does great with other dogs (she used to have a brother) but also knows how to cuddle and chill. Hazel is 1.5 years old and still has crazy puppy energy. Neither walk without a treat bag in hand to keep training a daily activity.
About: I have been studying and taken care of animals my whole life. My future career is being a vet. I can't wait to meet your pets and you! I'm working a part-time job. I just finished school and I believe this would be a great opportunity for me to having a better understanding animals better for becoming a vet. I have a fence yard, a lot a open space and a big park near my house. Your animals will be safe with me. And will have a lot of fun with me.

“Christie was great - kept us informed, sent us videos and took plenty of time to get to know our doodle puppy and gave her plenty of exercise and love. Also, when a massive rainstorm hit just before pickup, she gave us some extra time to get which was greatly appreciated. She is caring and offered suggestions about diet and treats and worked with her on her first nite getting to sleep in a strange place. Her large doodle ended up being a great play buddy outside. We will use her again for sure.”
