I am always concerned about Eddie escaping to chase an animal, and they took my concerns seriously and took steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”

About: I’ve always had at least one dog in my home until my Roscoe passed a little over a year ago. I have experience with all ages…puppies to seniors. I used to be a volunteer dog walker at Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center, so I have experience with rescue pets as well. I’ve been asked on a number of occasions to pet sit or check in on pets for friends while they are away from home. I see that there is a real need for pet care in our community, so I decided to put my skills and love for animals to work! ****At this time, I do not have any availability for daily dog walking. I’m available for dog walking or drop in visits between 10 and 1 Monday through Friday and pet sitting in your home or drop-in visits on weekends (Friday through Monday). If you live in my immediate neighborhood, pet sitting can be arranged for longer periods, as long as it’s ok to leave overnight for work. I like to take frequent walks, depending on the temperature outside and the age and health of your dog. For younger and more active dogs, I enjoy lots of playtime and interaction, or I can chill on the couch with your dog if he/she is older and less active! About: I have been a dog and cat owner/lover/advocate my whole life. I miss having my own pets so much so I pet sit during our travels and while we are home too! I’m a massage therapist and energy worker so animals LOVE my touch and calming presence. I’m very active and love long walks. I’m totally comfortable with large dogs. I have retired early so my schedule is very flexible. I am happy to travel to pet sits. I tend to do pet sitting in Florida during the months of January and February. I love having dogs and cats in my home. There is a little river behind my house and the national forest and Sherando Lake Recreation Area is just beyond the river so there’s lots of space for long walks. About: I’ve had experience with many types of animals since I could remember, which could be around 13-14 years. Our family is very animal oriented and it has been for a few generations. My great grandma raised, trained, and did dog shows with many different types of dogs. My grandma has always had animals as well as my mom. This ranges between birds, bunnies/rabbits, snakes, lizards/bearded dragons, birds, dogs, and cats. We almost like them more than people :) Pet care fits into my daily routine including every other weekend for my California king snake and bugs every other day with daily greens/fruits for the bearded dragon. 3 meals a day for the dogs, clean water for all animals, and the cats free feed expect some wet food. I can care for your pets in different ways including, of course, breakfast lunch or dinner, potty time outside on leash or back/front yard, and attention. I can also offer baths, and medication to certain animals if needed.

About: I’ve taken care of animals starting with my neighbor who relied on me for care taking, to my aunt who has her own dog business! I also have furbabies of my own which I care for; two dogs and one cat. As of right now usually am free after 6. Moving forward my schedule should be more open. I am always concerned about Eddie escaping to chase an animal, and they took my concerns seriously and took steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”
About: I have had animals my whole life! I’m always happy to help friends and family. Life is better with fur babies! Happy to help. I am not working so I am available anytime. I can do drop ins, in home care or at my home. I have two miniature dachshunds that love to play and a beautiful neighborhood for walks. We have gates on our stairs to keep our dogs on one level. I have a crate if needed in my home to keep your dog safe.
