But if I ever need to run some errands, depending on what they are, your dog can accompany me in a car ride or stay in your home, where it’s safe. When I arrive at your place, I make every effort to earn your dog's trust and make them feel more at ease. Usually your dog should already recognize me from our meet and greet. But if we have met or not, the first thing I do is take your dog on a walk, just to ensure them that I’m their care taker while you are gone, that would 100% make them comfortable with me. When we return, that is when I start giving rubs, treats, and cuddles. (yes I allow your dogs to sleep on my bed, if you are okay with them on your furniture). In my experience, pets do best when kept to their normal schedule or routine so we can meet and discuss what they like best. With drop-in care I can feed them and walk them or feed them and let them out in your yard, whatever you prefer and will make your time away easiest for them.
