“I have boarded my dog with Kristy twice now, and it’s been a great experience both times! My biggest issue with conventional boarding facilities was that no one seemed to be able to give Rocky his medications correctly, but Kristy has been on top of it. She communicates well, sends pictures, and updates frequently. Rocky is an anxious dog and can be very particular about his space, but Kristy didn’t have any issues with this and knows dog behavior well. As long as she’s available I’ll book in the future!”

“Kasara did an amazing job with Mia. She got her meds and supplements. She also was hand fed because she was a little nervous do to the heavy storms. He kept her all snuggly as well. We will be back!”

“Had a great experience with Erin with my pup. She kept me informed of how my pup was doing throughout his stay with pictures and texts. He was super well cared for and have no problems using Erin again in the future.”

“Andrew was great and took good care of my boy Leroy. His dog Jeff is a sweetie and I would definitely book with Andrew again so Leroy has both a human and canine companion he likes while I’m away!”

“Jenny is amazing!! Not only she took such a good care of Matilda, but she kept me posted about how she was doing by sending videos and pictures of Matilda having a blast. That allowed us to enjoy our vacations knowing Matilda was in great hands. When we picked her up I could see how confortable Matilda was at her house and Jenny gave her a shower and she was looking sparkling clean. Thank you for absolutely everything!!”

“Thoroughly pleased with Lauryn's time with Jake. She kept me abreast the entire time she had him and event sent photos for visual aid. Jake really liked Kadabra and I will definitely be back in touch whenever I need a dog sitter. Thank you again for your time and assistance.”

“Kathy is truly amazing! My hound dog is not like other dogs and needs a lot of reassurance, love and space to feel space! Kathy provides just that environment. She responded to me promptly each time I check in on keepsake and made sure he was happy and well cared for! I can’t thank her or recommend her enough!”

“Laura is amazing! She is caring and kept us up to date with pictures and text messages. When our Allie wasn’t eating, she coaxed her by hand feeding her and made sure she was getting her meds. I 100% recommend Laura and will be using her again when needed.”

“Emily had been watching my 2 senior dogs. In 2025, one unexpectedly passed away. I now have a new, younger one and my 1 senior. This was her first time keeping my new one, as well as having a lot of typical cocker spaniel habits. I appreciate her willing to step up to the challenge of my rowdy cs and his quirky way of dealing with the rain.”

“Savannah had a good time with Joe, she got to go on walks, have her treats and just chill out on his couch with him. It didn't take her very long to roll over to get her tummy rubbed, either. Joe kept me updated with photos of her and I texted him with little things I forgot to mention. We will definitely be having Joe take care of her again!”

“Rachel was outstanding in caring for my pup on our two week vacation! She made us feel very comfortable and connected to our furbaby with her photos, videos, and communication. My dog loves to see her pups and to run with them in her big backyard. I count myself lucky to have found Rachel as a newcomer to Knoxville!”

“What a wonderful experience! Prior to booking, Mary arranged a meet and greet to ensure we were a good fit on both ends. I was out of town for 5 days and knowing that Sage was being so well loved and cared for made traveling so much easier. I got multiple pictures and updates thru the day which puts a dog mom at ease. I would 100 percent book Mary ( and her family) again and would highly recommend you do as well. They ALL treated her as a part of their family, they have a large fenced in back yard which is reassuring if your dog does not prefer other animals. Thank you Mary, Bob, and Ava for loving my girl!”

“Sallie was amazing! Penny was very happy staying with her. She got lots of walking and play time and snuggles at night. Sallie was very responsive and flexible and sent lots of photos and videos. We definitely will plan on future stays with her!”

“Rachel was the best! I needed a cat sitter for my kitten Goose last minute and she came through big time. She sent me daily updates and it was evident Goose received excellent and loving care. I even contacted her when my flight home was delayed to see if there was any chance she could check on Goose one last time and she went out of her way to do so. I cannot recommend Rachel enough for all your cat sitting needs.”

“Anna was great! In the photos she sent of my cat, Archie, you could almost hear the purring. He obviously got spa treatment with petting, brushing and play. I would definitely hire her again.”

“Crystal was wonderful! She’s incredibly kind, she’s super easy to get ahold of, and we always looked forward to her updates about our kitty! Plus, our kitty seemed to love her! We will definitely be looking to book with her again for our next trip!”

“Allison is great! She faithfully visited Rowan twice a day and kept him sane. She took care of all his needs, but most importantly, she played with him and interacted with him for a substantial amount of time. Plus sending us photos, of course. We will definitely book with Allison again!”

“Oh, my pups were just so happy to see Jessi, and my younger dog who always barks with new people, did not bark at all! Jessi was very kind and had a calm demeanor with my senior pup and my anxious pup:) I will definitely request their help again!”

“Taylor May was incredible!! This was my first experience with Rover and I can’t say enough good things about having her watch your fur babies! She was so kind and thorough on her visit notes and takes great photos of your pets for check in’s!! Definitely will be asking her to watch Dahlia again when I travel!”

“Helena was so good to our cat. She made sure to do all of his favorite things with him and sent us videos in addition to the photos included in the Rover cards. She even accommodated us when we needed her for an extra day! Thanks for loving our baby!”

“She was amazing—all the way around from taking care of my fur baby to customer service to communicating. She great. I’ll definitely use her again. Thanks again so much Nancy.”

“I can’t thank Claire enough for the amazing care she gave my three cats over the past 8 weeks! From the very first visit, it was clear how much she truly love animals. Each of my cats has their own personality, and Claire took the time to connect with all of them — even my shy one came out for cuddles every visit! Her updates and photos were such a comfort while I was away. I could tell the cats were happy, well-fed, and totally spoiled with attention. The litter boxes were completely changed many times and everything done exactly as I asked. It’s not easy to find someone you can completely trust with your pets, but Claire is that person. I came home to three relaxed, happy kitties — the best sign of all. I’m so grateful for the care and love she put into every visit and will absolutely book again. Highly recommend! 🐾💜🐾”

“Izzy did a great job watching my cat while I was away. She kept him entertained, made sure he was taken care of, and paid attention to all his needs. It was a relief knowing he was in good hands the whole time. Thank you Izzy!”

“I never have to worry when leaving our cat with Brooke. She always provides great updates and the cutest pictures. Our cat is skittish and does not come out for anyone except Brooke - I swear she’s a kitty whisperer. Highly recommend!”

“Melissa was an absolute dream cat sitter for me. My sweet Louie struggles with strangers and socialization. He is very anxious and doesn’t do well with new people, but I didn’t want him to be lonely on my trip. Melissa spent so much time and effort making Louie feel comfortable with her during her visits. She kept me updated the whole time with photos and updates on his behavior. She was neat and tidy, brought my mail in for me, and made sure he had everything he needed. I would give her 100 stars on this review if the app would let me. Melissa was phenomenal. I’m using her again in two weeks. I was so worried that I would find a sitter who didn’t understand Louie and who wouldn’t try to bond with him, but with Melissa that couldn’t be further from the truth. She was absolutely amazing and I am so glad Louie has someone like her to care for him now!”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Summer has been absolutely incredible taking care of my cat while I’m away. She consistently goes above and beyond—making sure everything is handled, sending updates, and giving me total peace of mind when I’m traveling. It’s not just the basics with her—you can tell she genuinely cares and treats my cat like her own. I never have to worry when Summer is checking in, which is huge for me. Couldn’t recommend her more highly. If you’re looking for someone reliable, thoughtful, and trustworthy, Summer is the best.”

“First time using Rover and I’m so impressed! Becky was amazing! So nice and professional and clearly cares a lot about the animals she checks on. Thank you so much! :)”

“Jenny was absolutely WONDERFUL with our 2 frenchies! About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was in college. I’ve been looking after pups ever since. My current best friend is a theee-legged mutt named Jeff and he loves when company comes over. I’m a freelance editor who works from home so I set my own schedule. I keep a pretty regular routine with my own dog. We shouldn’t have any trouble adapting to your pet’s needs. I have a big fenced in backyard and can do most of my work from the screeened in porch. That’s nice because it lets me keep an eye on the pooch while also feeling less like a cave hermit hunched over a keyboard all day.

About: Hello! I am a current 3rd year veterinary student and have spent 5 years working in clinics as a vet assistant. I have 15+ years of experience caring for pets of my own and am comfortable with any breed or size as well as a few other species besides cats and dogs. I am good at reading behavior, keeping up with any training you ask me to, and administering any medications or special instructions needed I am currently on summer break so I am completely available all day to spend time with your loving pet. I do have pets of my own that are friendly so I can either bring your pets to me, or make trips to spend some time during the day with yours. If the weather is nice we spend some time outside. I also have a crate and can crate your pet if need be for a short period. If your pet is NOT crate trained I do require them to be house trained.

About: I grew up on a farm in rural Appalachia so I have been surrounded by pets of all different types for as long as I can remember. I learned how to care for them very early on in my childhood and that experience fostered my passionate love for all animals. I believe in caring for them, not just as pets, but members of our families. I am flexible with my routine so I can meet the varying needs of the doggies that stay with us. We can discuss more in depth when you inquire to book. I have a spacious, fenced in back yard that is perfect for zoomies and playtime! My home is open and welcoming. I have lots of space for them to hangout or to relax in their kennel.

Currently I am available various times during the week with a lot of availability on the weekends. My pup has accommodations in every room of the house. About: I work at an ER and specialty medicine clinic so have truly seen it all with dogs of all ages. I work primarily on an internal medicine team and often pick up ER shifts. I have finished my first year of veterinary school and will continue to my second year in the fall, so have all sorts of knowledge about your dog(s)! I grew up with dogs, and have worked as a dog sitter/caretaker for years. My roles have ranged from daily care to basic grooming. I worked as a dog walker for a summer as well, and assisted with grooming this dog in addition to overall basic care. Overall, these qualifications make me an excellent caretaker for your loved ones! I work 8 am-8 pm at a veterinary hospital Monday-Wednesday. Other than that, I got to church Sunday mornings. I’m free the rest of the time! I care for the pets in a client’s home with a holistic approach. I ask specific questions to make sure I understand the animal’s needs and routine before or upon arriving. I want to fit into the animal’s life as an asset to their wellbeing, not as a stressor working against it. I read or listen carefully to instruction to make sure I am well equipped to go above and beyond in loving your pets. They will be my first priority during the time they are in my care, rest assured.
About: With years of experience caring for all kinds of animals—from cats and dogs to guinea pigs, ferrets, rabbits, and more. I have a huge heart for all furry friends. I've welcomed so many pets into my home, from beloved companions to strays and rescues looking for love. Every animal deserves kindness and attention, and I take pride in creating a safe, cozy space for them. Whether it's snuggling with a dog, playing with a curious cat, or helping a shy pet feel safe, I treat every animal like family. Let me give your pet the same love and care I’ve shared with all the animals in my life! Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily and weekly routine. As an Equine-Assisted Psychotherapist (I get to work with people and animals at the same time, it truly doesn't get any better), I have the flexibility to work when I choose, which allows me to prioritize pet care and accommodate various schedules. This means I can give your pets the time and attention they need, whether it's daily visits, longer stays, or just making sure they're happy and comfortable throughout the day. I’ll make sure your pet feels comfortable and happy by maintaining their usual routine, whether that means sticking to specific feeding times, favorite toys, or daily walks. I take extra care to notice the details that matter to them—whether it’s a particular spot they love to nap in or their favorite way to play—so they feel secure and content in your absence. My goal is to make everything easy and stress-free for both you and your pet. By keeping things familiar and showering them with love, I’ll ensure your furry friend feels happy, safe, and well cared for.

About: I have 15 years of experience with caring for dogs, cats, and amphibians! I’m not much of a human person, but I will make an undeniable connection with your pet. I make sure they are comfortable with me before doing anything else. I have experience with oral medications for your furry friend and other accommodations they may have. Pet care always comes first for me. I will wake up from sleep at any given moment if it means they need to go outside, be fed, or just a simple pat on the head. I want nothing but comfortability and care for you and your pet. I strive to make space and comfort for your animal. After all, they are more than that. I love a good game of tug o’ war, or whatever your pet has in store for that day. My favorite thing to do to connect with them is a good walk. It builds trust and connection. I would love to share a bed with your pet as well if that’s what they, or you, prefer!

I worked with horses in the summer of 2024. I love animals and want to pursue a career in animal health! I am very passionate about animals! I am a very flexible person. I recently graduated from The University of Tennessee and am in the process of looking for jobs. Most of my days are pretty open. I am a very trustworthy and reliable person who will always have the animals best interest at heart! I love working with animals and I can’t wait to meet them! I have dog sat many times and am very good with watching over them.
About: I’m a dog lover with a flexible schedule that allows me to provide 24/7 care for your Pups. I own my own home with plenty of indoor space, a large fenced in yard, dog beds, toys and a safe neighbourhood to go on long walks. In addition to caring for my own pets over the years I have been pet sitting since I was a teenager and have fostered and rehomed a number of strays that found their way to my door. I have no formal teaching as a dog trainer but I lived for 7 years with a professional dog trainer and, in addition to helping train their pack, I assisted their work with clients rehabilitating fearful and aggressive dogs. Because I work for myself and most of my work is done from home I am avalible to give your pets ample time and attention. It is easy for me to adjust to their particular feeding, medication and potty schedules and I am rarely gone from the house for more than 2 hours at a time. I have a pet and child free home which allows me to create a safe stay for older and anxious pets that need comfort and quiet, as well as dogs that do not play will with others. Dogs that stay here have the run of the first floor. I have dog beds, a basket of toys (inside and out) a food and water dish that gets sterilised in the dishwasher between stays and ample treats to spoil them with. Pups that are used to sleeping in the bed room or in bed join me upstairs at bed time. I allow pets on my furniture unless that is against the rules at home, in which case I will respect your rules and snuggle them on the floor! If your dog is used to using a crate please be prepared to bring that with you as I do not have one in my home. The yard is large and fully fenced and secure. I do not leave pups outside unattended to assure safety but dogs who like to be outside will get lots of play time chasing tennis balls and lounging in the shade while I garden. Poo is picked up as it’s left for general cleanliness and sanitation. I only house one family of dogs at a time for ease and safety. There are occasional exceptions but only with explicit consent from both families and a trial intro to make sure everyone gets along well. I do not charge an additional dog rate for a second dog but each additional dog after two (third or fourth) will be a +30$ a night.

About: I have cared for cats and dogs my entire life! My family had multiple pets at all times growing up. I am a cat mom myself with shared custody with my twin sister. I offer a pet stranger free home with my own cats staying with my sister while I have guest pets. 🐈 I first began pet sitting in college and primarily serviced young adults and college students. Thus, I have always offered an affordable rate so that regular people can obtain pet sitting services without having to pay expensive boarding fees. 🐶 Although I just started using Rover, I have been sitting for years through friends, family, and referrals! I can provide references for those I have serviced in the past that have not been through the app. 🐈 I am a former President, Vice President, and class representative of the Animal Legal Defense Fund at the University of Tennessee College of Law. I am available any day of the week for boarding. 🐈 Currently, I am not accepting bookings over 2 months in advance. 🐈 For drop in visits and walks, I am available Mon-Fri between 7:30-8:30 a.m., 11:30-1:30 p.m., and after 6 p.m. Available all day Saturday and Sunday beginning 9 a.m. 🐶 Drop off and pickups must occur between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. 🐈 Meet and greets must occur in the evening and are offered at Sutree Landing Park. Your pets become mine for a few days! I would care for them as if they were my own. I let pets staying in my home on the furniture and sleep in my bed. If you would like pictures of my home to see where your pet would be staying, feel free to ask! My personal pets vacate my home and stay with their other parent while I am sitting to eliminate conflicts with guest pets. 🐈 I send as many pictures as you want and I am available by text all day.
“Somer is awesome! I was in a pinch, and she was able to watch my dog for 4 days with only a day notice! She gave me updates and sent photos! Definitely recommend her and will be using her again!”

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and grew up caring for cats, dogs, and even chickens! Over the years, I’ve pet sat for many families and have experience with a variety of breeds, personalities, and care needs. I currently have two dogs of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your pets. I have experience caring for pets of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior pets who may need a little extra patience and attention. I’m also comfortable administering medications and following detailed care instructions to help keep your pet happy, healthy, and on their normal routine. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or prefers a calm environment, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. No matter what, pet care is always a priority in my routine! My days naturally revolve around caring for my own two dogs, and I intentionally plan my schedule to make sure I have plenty of time to give pets the attention, exercise, and love they deserve. My current schedule gives me extra flexibility and free time, which means more walks, playtime, cuddles, and one on one attention for your pet. I’m happy to work with your pet’s routine and make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and loved while you’re away. If boarding at my house, I live with my boyfriend who also has a relatively flexible schedule and can provide care during any hours that I may be away. In my home, pets are treated like family! I have a large yard for playtime, two friendly dogs who love having company, and plenty of toys to keep everyone entertained. I always make sure pets get lots of attention, exercise, and love while they’re with me. I’m comfortable accommodating different needs and routines, whether that means crating your dog, sticking to a specific feeding or medication schedule, or giving them extra one on one attention. If your dog is used to snuggling up at night, they’re more than welcome to sleep in bed with us and our pups! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to keep your pet’s routine as normal and stress free as possible. I will follow any house rules, schedules, or care instructions you have to make sure your pet feels comfortable and secure in their own environment. I love going on walks and am always happy to take dogs on adventures, get in plenty of playtime, or simply provide companionship and cuddles based on their personality and needs.
About: I go beyond basic pet sitting by building trust with both pets and owners. I’m patient, reliable, and attentive to each pet’s unique personality and needs. Whether it’s helping reinforce puppy training, keeping up with high-energy dogs, or providing calm, compassionate care for senior pets, I always make sure your pet feels cared for and comfortable. I’m currently studying for my physical therapy boards, which allows me to be home throughout the day and have a very flexible schedule for pet care. Because of this, I’m able to provide consistent attention, frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, feedings, and companionship rather than leaving pets alone for long periods. In both my home and a client’s home, I focus on making pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible. I make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, fresh water, meals on schedule, and, of course, lots of affection. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all instructions carefully to help pets feel comfortable in their familiar environment. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel reassured while they’re away.
