About: I’ve had dogs of many different breeds since I was born, so I’m experienced with just about every type of dog. I currently have no dogs in the house and devote my time to full time pet sitting. I also frequently care for my sister’s two dogs, who I consider my niece and nephew, a female poodle, Vivienne, and a male Maltese-Bichon Frise, Wally, six and three years old, respectively. Also my mother recently adopted a puppy from the shelter, we think he is a french bulldog/boston terrier/boxer mix, his name is Griswald and I looove him. “Shana was very accomodating, taking a last minute request for dog sitting after our normal sitter cancelled. We are yearly sponsors of the Scottish Games at Furman, which is an all day event from 8:30 to 7:30, the Saturday before Memorial Day. I sent requests to four sitters on Rover that morning that were close to our house in Taylors. Two responded they were booked, even though their profiles confirmed availability, and two never responded. It then occurred to me that it would be easier to find a sitter closer to Furman for faster p/u after the event. I messaged Shana at 8:28 am and at 8:30 she replied “Hi there! You can drop him off now if you like.“ Her responsiveness was incredible, and greatly appreciated. Her tiny home community was so cute and inviting, and her location made for a quick and easy drop off and pick up. Our Dachshund, Bandit, obviously found her home (and her lap) very comfortable, as we received several photos of him relaxing on her lap in front of the wood burning stove. He seemed to get along well with her Lhasa Apso, Wally, who was about the same size as Bandit, as we received several photos of them taking walks and napping together on the sofa. I can say without a doubt that we will hire Shana every year for the Scottish Games at Furman, if she is still dog sitting and available (fingers crossed!).”

About: I have watched pets in my home long-term a few times for friends before I joined Rover. I do enjoy it. I had two dogs during my youth and one that I got for my children. That one turned into a one-person ~ me ~ dog, so I did get another dog for my youngest. Dogs have always become family members, loved for their different personalities. About: I have had pets in my home since I was a child. I had a senior dog I took care of for six years. I am very comfortable with dogs at all stages or any handicaps. I am home throughout the day and all evening with a flexible schedule. My home is relaxing with plenty of space. The fenced in yard is big and a pile of perfect sticks are waiting to be played with. The neighborhood is away from main roads and safe. I do have cameras in the home to keep an eye on things if I run errands. I have a fenced in large yard for safety if your furry friend stays here. I also have a private inside area if they need some downtime. I only have a couple steps into the home. If I visit them then all rules are strictly adhered too. I provide a lot of love and care, making sure they are calm, happy and safe. I tend to care for 4-6 dogs at a time. Many are high energy so your dog should be comfy with that environment. Lazy, sleepy dogs do well with it. I love to have Meet&Greets. I want you to feel comfortable with my space. If it turns out you are not on board 100%, I understand and have no hard feelings. The safety and happiness of your pet is everyone’s focus. Taking care of pets is my full time job so I am home based. I have a couple day care dogs during the work week and spend most of my day with them. I will follow through with your training and rules. Pets are spoiled with attention. I have a box of toys and treats for them. I will provide photos and videos plus regular updates.

I am currently in school, and have a pretty inconsistent work schedule, leaving me not too terribly busy! I am very flexible with time, and would love to make time for your pets! It is important to ensure safety and comfort to the animals! As well as assurance to the owners. I keep a good eye on the pets, and am very aware (for instance a hole in a fence would not go unnoticed by me).

“Maggie so enjoyed her visit with Christina! Maggie has been an indoor city girl in Florida her entire life. This was her first time having the run of a yard. Christina’s yard is huge with lots of trees and things to climb on/through. Her Boxer Bandit and Maggie became buddies right away. Christina was the perfect hostess.
