About: I've always loved animals and have found their presence is therapeutic. I've owned and cared for many pets throughout my life including dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, and more. I was hired from a young age to work on farms feeding and caring for animals. I have lots of experience caring for senior dogs and I can accommodate their needs. About: After my dad's cat passed away when I was a child, I convinced my parents to let us adopt a white cat who kept appearing on our back porch. We named him Sam and he and the dog became pals. He didn't scratch me nearly as much as my dad's black cat, Stashy used to. A recent cat sitting client required a thyroid medicine cream to be applied to the inside of her ears. She was not into it, so I had to be sneaky. I allow cats to show me how and when they want to be touched and how and when they don't. Playtime with lasers, boxes, paper bags, and rotating crinkly, feathered, bouncy, stretchy, and fuzzy toys is a joy :-)

About: I have been dog setting for the past 23 years. It all started when I watched my boss' 3 chihuahuas when I was about 17 and then I just have had many request ever since. About: I have experience with pets of all ages and needs: puppies and kittens, seniors, special needs (the Great Dane in my pics is blind lol, she’s the best), and will do everything in my power to make sure your pets are loved and well cared for. I’m big on open communication so I will send pics and updates throughout my time with your pets! My only current obligation is from 9 AM to noon on weekdays, so my availability is very open! I have my own reliable transportation :) We live in a house with a fully fenced in yard so you can have peace of mind that your pup will be safe with us. About: I bring a rare mix of professional veterinary experience and full-time, in-home care to every pet I watch. I spent eight years working at Cleveland Park East Animal Hospital, where I managed large boarding groups and assisted with medications, surgeries, and specialized care. That background allows me to confidently care for pets who need medical attention or extra support. As a stay-at-home mom, I’m home all day so pets are never left alone and receive constant care and companionship. They also become part of our family, enjoying gentle love and attention from my children. Your pet would truly be part of our family! I am blessed to be a stay at home mother, so I am available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Your pet would have constant care and attention from myself. They would also get to enjoy playing around our yard and porch and soak up all the extra cuddles. We have an outdoor cat, and we previously had our loving dog who passed away. Our neighborhood boast 17 acres of natural space that include walking trails and a 3 acre pond. Our cat prefers to explore outside during the day, but she absolutely loves dogs. Having lived with one for most of her life. We have baby gates to prevent dogs from going to the upstairs portion of our house, which leaves the entire downstairs for play, roaming, and resting.
“Shana was very accomodating, taking a last minute request for dog sitting after our normal sitter cancelled. We are yearly sponsors of the Scottish Games at Furman, which is an all day event from 8:30 to 7:30, the Saturday before Memorial Day. I sent requests to four sitters on Rover that morning that were close to our house in Taylors. Two responded they were booked, even though their profiles confirmed availability, and two never responded. It then occurred to me that it would be easier to find a sitter closer to Furman for faster p/u after the event. I messaged Shana at 8:28 am and at 8:30 she replied “Hi there! You can drop him off now if you like.“ Her responsiveness was incredible, and greatly appreciated. Her tiny home community was so cute and inviting, and her location made for a quick and easy drop off and pick up. Our Dachshund, Bandit, obviously found her home (and her lap) very comfortable, as we received several photos of him relaxing on her lap in front of the wood burning stove. He seemed to get along well with her Lhasa Apso, Wally, who was about the same size as Bandit, as we received several photos of them taking walks and napping together on the sofa. I can say without a doubt that we will hire Shana every year for the Scottish Games at Furman, if she is still dog sitting and available (fingers crossed!).”

About: I grew up on a small farm, so have been taking care of animals essentially since birth. I have had anything from dogs and cats, to horses and chickens. All dogs and cats have been inside animals, with a good many of them being rescued or fostered. I am currently a self employed stay at home ceramic artist. I have two loving and spoiled miniature schnauzers, who are 5 and 6 years old. They spend every waking moment with me, even having their own space while I work. I have two friendly and non reactive miniature schnauzers. Dog safe, fenced in yard with security cameras in every corner. Daily walks around West Village, when the pavement temperature allows. I am home 99% of the time, but dogs are crated when I need to run errands, both for their safety and peace of mind.

About: I have had pets in my home since I was a child. I had a senior dog I took care of for six years. I am very comfortable with dogs at all stages or any handicaps. I am home throughout the day and all evening with a flexible schedule. My home is relaxing with plenty of space. The fenced in yard is big and a pile of perfect sticks are waiting to be played with. The neighborhood is away from main roads and safe. I do have cameras in the home to keep an eye on things if I run errands. I have a fenced in large yard for safety if your furry friend stays here. I also have a private inside area if they need some downtime. I only have a couple steps into the home. If I visit them then all rules are strictly adhered too. I provide a lot of love and care, making sure they are calm, happy and safe. I tend to care for 4-6 dogs at a time. Many are high energy so your dog should be comfy with that environment. Lazy, sleepy dogs do well with it. I love to have Meet&Greets. I want you to feel comfortable with my space. If it turns out you are not on board 100%, I understand and have no hard feelings. The safety and happiness of your pet is everyone’s focus. Taking care of pets is my full time job so I am home based. I have a couple day care dogs during the work week and spend most of my day with them. I will follow through with your training and rules. Pets are spoiled with attention. I have a box of toys and treats for them. I will provide photos and videos plus regular updates.

About: I have had dogs all of my life. I have my own fur baby as well. I’m a school teacher, so I have the summers off to take care of your fur babies! I would love to meet and love on sweet doggies when you are away. I offer boarding and drop in services. They will be in great hands! I definitely understand how dogs are not just pets, but part of the family. I treat my puppy like he’s my child. My closest friend works at a vet office. If something bad were to happen, she’s only a phone call away for me. I would love the opportunity to care for your fur baby! Toy, hound or herding; I love them all (even cats)! I am a teacher so I am free during the summer, holiday breaks and early afternoons! I can also do evening visits. I am very flexible! In client’s homes, I will follow directions to a tee. I understand how important it is to listen to who knows their baby the best!

“Garrett was amazing with my two dogs! We needed a sitter at the last minute and he was very flexible with us allowing us to schedule a quick meet and greet before the booking. It’s worth mentioning that one of my dogs can be a handful at times but Garrett was so patient with him. The communication was frequent all week long (including sending pictures). My dogs got along well with his sweet dog as well. We definitely hope to use his services again!”
