And is always a better listener to commands when he comes home as well. They also send great photos, Shadow always seems to be smiling or passed out from play and they are very responsive to questions. We will continue to use them in the future.”

About: I bring a rare mix of professional veterinary experience and full-time, in-home care to every pet I watch. I spent eight years working at Cleveland Park East Animal Hospital, where I managed large boarding groups and assisted with medications, surgeries, and specialized care. That background allows me to confidently care for pets who need medical attention or extra support. As a stay-at-home mom, I’m home all day so pets are never left alone and receive constant care and companionship. They also become part of our family, enjoying gentle love and attention from my children. Your pet would truly be part of our family! Our cat prefers to explore outside during the day, but she absolutely loves dogs. Having lived with one for most of her life. We have baby gates to prevent dogs from going to the upstairs portion of our house, which leaves the entire downstairs for play, roaming, and resting.

I absolutely love training, so if you have a skill or command you want your dog practiced or taught, I can do training while you're away. Have experience with animal behavior. Love walking dogs of all sizes. I have administered oral medications for dogs that don't like it. Willing to do light grooming (bathing, brushing, ear cleaning, nail dremmel for those who are trained for grooming). Having a high energy puppy, I’m accustomed to being out doing heavy exercise around 2 hours a day plus lower intensity walks as needed. For older or lower intensity dogs who just want to snuggle they can have very opportunity to do so! I like to keep dogs leashed for safety and have heavy duty long lines to allow them to run and chase or sniff at will. Able to do a variety of enrichment games and puzzles to get their brains working and tired.
About: I had 3 different Lab Retrievers from pups to their senior years in my early teens to late 20s. I have a 2 yr old German Shepherd now. I work from home so he gets plenty of love and attention. As your dog stays with me they will get the same level of care as my 4 legged family members. Update: Due to my fiancé having some allergy issues lately I will only take hypoallergenic dogs that minimally shed. I'm sorry for the amount of dogs I will have to reject. We start everyday with his favorite fetch games to get some energy out. Once he calms down he gets breakfast, a short walk, then a long nap on one of his many beds around the house or a doormat. During each day he gets more fetch, structured play, and training, all followed by short naps. Update: Due to my fiancé having some allergy issues lately I will only take hypoallergenic dogs that minimally shed. I'm sorry for the amount of dogs I will have to reject. I have a small fenced in yard with plenty of fields for play and sidewalks to walk around my house. My dog's days are structured to keep him happy and healthy. I make sure his meals are scheduled so he isn't at risk for bloat (GDV).

I follow each pet’s routine and any special instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, medications, and individual preferences. I also believe communication is key to building trust. I will keep you updated during visits and care, and I’m always happy to send photos so you can see how your furry family member is doing while you’re away. “Rachel watched Shadow for a second time recently. We had to unexpectedly move up our reservation and ended up extending on the other end as well and she was happy and willing to make the adjustment last minute. We love that someone is home all day with Shadow (what he’s used to at our home) and Shadow gets along great with Dax. He comes home with a hangover from the fun he’s had! And is always a better listener to commands when he comes home as well. They also send great photos, Shadow always seems to be smiling or passed out from play and they are very responsive to questions. We will continue to use them in the future.”
