About: I grew up with black lab mixes, having at least one dog in the house all the time. I helped to raise two of the family black lab puppies through 15 years and care for the next generation, a 2 year old black lab/border collie rescue pup, teaching her to sit and lay down. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs over the past few years, learning patience from puppies, strength from sweet old ladies, and the careful nuance that comes with leash aggressive rescues. I now have an adopted a rescue greyhound in the family. She loves new friends but is also perfectly happy cat napping wherever her bed lands. Happy to host or walk, with or without her company. I’m full time at home and so I am free to do breaks and provide limited entertainment between meetings, which are never more than 1.5h. This is the schedule I provide my own pup and would extend to others. I treat them as my own. I prefer to be over communicative with owners if any potential issues arise as well. Greyhounds react particularly poorly to negative feedback and punishment, so patience and focus on pawsitivity (particularly treats) is a standard with me.

Dogs can be let out as often as every three hours and cats can be checked on and played with as often as their individual personalities require. As a Filipino, I grew up with a very large family which includes having lots of animals around. But even in my own home, I grew up with a golden retriever, a havanese, and a poodle. Then two Havanese, and their cousin the Italian greyhound and.. another Havanese and... another poodle. I was the kid who memorized every dog breed, and wanted to visit the kennel and beg my parents for another dog. Our house was known as the place to house sit if a loved one was to go on vacation or anything. As an adult, I have lived with a cat each year that I could. Though these pets were pretty small in breed, it's actually my dream to get a dane or a similar sized and mannered big friendly giant. I spent a lot of my time at shelters, in nature camp, and at the nature center when I was a kid keeping all the animals safe. I have been that friend who pets immediately bond with when visiting someone's place for the first time. I was even such a frequent guest at the nature center, I even named one of the corn snakes "Bracelet" since she would hang around my wrist as I went to walk around the Greenberg Nature Center to greet, feed, clean, and care for the other reptiles. I have been an honorary member of the staff since I was 5 years old! I am a full time graduate student now working in Providence for 2 months. Since my work can be flexible and I'm located in the heart of the city, I can be available anytime! I have 5 repeat dog clients right now, and live with a cat and tortoise right now so I'm always surrounded by pets and happy to meet more. I will return to Binghamton August 2, and will be open again for house sitting then. When I am home in New York, I am available full weekends and holidays. For dogs- On walks, I don't just walk alongside a dog but I pay attention to their body, queues, and interests. From alone time to pets to cuddles to carrying. I would be on time with food, medicine, or any other duties. For any other animals- I would just be honored to hangout with your pet, as an exotic pet owner myself. I would ensure I am well educated in the handling and care of your animal!

“Ethel was so so happy with Briana. Briana took the time to meet Ethel prior to her stay to make sure she would be a good match for boarding. I had previously had Ethel stay at a kennel to stay for a prior trip out of town and she paced all night and couldn’t sleep! At Brianas, Ethel was totally fine. Played all day and slept all night. I’m so appreciative of the sweet care Briana took of Ethel. I’ll definitely be booking again with her again the next time I leave town.”

“Cherylee and Steven went above and beyond for my dog Clover and I while I was away. Being a travel nurse and first time Rover user, I was super nervous about the whole process, but they were so welcoming and accommodating to all of my pups need. Cherylee even went as far as to rescue us when my car broke down on the way to our meet and greet! I have an older pup with a lot of dietary and medication needs. They had absolutely no problem keeping his schedule and made sure to send me pictures and videos daily.
