About: For the past seven years, I had the privilege of sharing my life with my dog, Agatha, whom I adopted when she was around seven years old. She recently passed away at an estimated 14 years old after battling cancer. Caring for Agatha, especially during the last few months of her life, taught me patience, compassion, and how to meet a dog exactly where they are. As she got older, she needed more hands-on support. Whether it was helping her stand, carrying her when her body wouldn't cooperate (all 55 pounds of her!), or hand-feeding her because that's how she was most comfortable, I learned that every dog has unique needs and deserves care that respects their personality. Agatha was fiercely independent, so I always tried to give her as much dignity and choice as possible while making sure she felt safe and loved. While I'm not ready to adopt another dog just yet, I truly miss having one in my life. That's what brought me to Rover. I’ve had animals my entire life as has my husband and my two boys have inherited our love for them as well. I’m currently a stay at home mom to 2 boys, ages 5 and 7, so I have plenty of time to make sure your animal is getting the care they need. We have a small home and a large yard on a quiet street. Your pup will enjoy at least 4-5 walks outside per day, I can adapt the length to your dog’s particular exercise needs. We have a crate, if your dog prefers, and I can have separate up/downstairs accommodations if needed but generally your pet will have free reign of my home and family.

I am a mom to a 2 year old Cavalier King Charles boy but have cared for dogs of all sizes and ages, including older ones who require medications. “So if you are looking for a breath of fresh air for an animal sitter do not look any further. Jodi went beyond just taking care of our dog who is a lab 60 Ibs. Down to every detail I ask her to do she did plus did more. She brought out our garbage to the curb and brought in our mail each day. We had a camera which we told her we had. When we had a chance to look at it she was interacting with our dog, excited to be there and our dog always greeted her with a wagging tail and his toy. She walked him each visit and did not care about the 1/2 hour she had to be there. She stayed as long as he did his business and was happy. She truly loves her job and it shows. If you are reading this review please beware of dog sitters that have good reviews. We do have a camera (which we tell each of them) and have seen dog sitters sit on the chair waiting for the 1/2 hour to be up. They leave back door open and just stand there while the dog is outside for 10 minutes then they leave. When we ask to walk the dog they have an excuse why they did not walk like the weather. Jodi is a gem and nothing like the negative comments I wrote. I will definitely be hiring her again!!”

Two of my dogs had ACL surgery so I am familiar with the care that is needed after such a procedure. About: Hello! My name is Izzy, I’m 21 years old, and I’m going into my senior year at Penn State while working at Rita’s Italian Ice in Cranberry Twp. I’m so excited to start my Rover journey! I’ve grown up with having dogs in my household all my life, from a 4 1/2 lb. Chihuahua to a chunky Toy Fox Terrier to a mighty but loving Rottweiler-Black Lab mix. I’ve also been tasked with taking care of my neighbor’s and friend’s dogs over the years, whether that be stopping over to give them food, bathroom breaks, and cuddles, or even staying overnight over the span of a week so the dog(s) don’t feel alone. Therefore, I’m hoping to be the best fit for you, too! Outside of dogs, I love to be in our pool when the weather is warm and being able to do so with my family, pick up new crafting hobbies like scrapbooking or embroidery, and go to concerts of a variety of artists (43 concerts and counting!), most recently being 5 Seconds of Summer. I can’t wait to start this opportunity and hopefully bring some relief to someone in need of dog-helping needs! I’m currently working part-time at Rita’s Italian Ice in Cranberry Twp., and the schedule always fluctuates between 4-6 hour shifts. I don’t have set days, but I’m typically scheduled one weekday and the Friday-Sundays, However, I have plenty of time outside of those shifts and always accommodate around them to ensure that all the dog’s needs are met. At home, I assist in letting our dogs play in our fenced-in backyard, giving them treats when they’ve behaved or done a trick we’ve taught them (sit and “paw”), taking them on neighborhood walks when it’s nice outside, assuring that their food and water are filled, and playing with them to get their zoomies out before everyone starts winding down for the night. Outside of my home, if there is not a fenced-in backyard, I’ve taken the dog(s) outside on leashes for bathroom purposes, as well as do all actions mentioned above from what I do at home. Some houses have also had puppy pads when necessary, and I always take appropriate measures to clean up any messes and re-lay down a fresh puppy pad.

About: For the past seven years, I had the privilege of sharing my life with my dog, Agatha, whom I adopted when she was around seven years old. She recently passed away at an estimated 14 years old after battling cancer. About: Although we’re new to Rover, we’ve owned dogs our whole lives and understand that every dog is different. Some want to play nonstop, others just want someone nearby while they nap. Our family (including our two daughters) are all dog lovers, so visiting dogs become part of the family while they’re here. We’re happy to adjust to whatever helps your dog feel comfortable and stick to the routine they’re used to. I (Keith) work from home several days each week, so pet care fits naturally into my schedule. Morning walks, yard time, potty breaks, meals, and playtime are already part of my day with my own dog, so adding another four-legged friend feels pretty normal. My wife (Leigh) is home in the evenings and on the weekends so we both get to give our dog and visiting dogs a lot of attention and love. We keep our availability realistic so every dog gets the time and attention they deserve. We have a fully fenced backyard and live in a quiet neighborhood that’s great for walks. Our own dog is friendly, but we don’t assume every dog wants an instant playmate, so introductions are always slow and supervised. If your dog needs their own space, that’s not a problem. We’ll follow your feeding schedule, medications, and any instructions you leave so their stay is as close to home as possible.
