I'm available during the day between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday thru Thursday when my sons not home from school. About: Although I didn’t grow up around cats, I recently had the opportunity to foster a cat through the local humane society! She was a young and energetic cat who was rescued as a stray, but had to be kept in isolation from other animals due to a communicable illness. Once we took her in, giving her the space to rest and rehab comfortably, she made a quick recovery and was adopted after a couple short months, once she was medically cleared! This taught me so much about tending to the needs of rescue animals and specifically monitoring any health concerns!

While I have a great deal of respect for any person who has made the commitment to give a dog in need a forever home, I understand that not all dog lovers can be present 24/7. With that being said, I hope you and your dog will pick me to be your stand-in human. Whether at work or away for the day, I promise your dog lots of love and fun exercise! We’ll be the walk of the town! I am a school-based occupational therapist and am off for the summer, so I’m free morning, afternoon, and evening 7 days a week! I’m a lover of all animals domestic and wild. Your dog (or cat) will have my undivided attention and be treated with the care and respect they deserve, just as I have cared for my own pets.

“Joan was a great sitter for our baby, Nimer. I loved receiving daily updates on how he was doing as well as pictures and videos. We chose the boarding option, and Nimer had the best time at Joan's house, sleeping on her bed, playing in the cat tunnels, and climbing the cat trees. He also got along so well with her ferrets! Her house is free of any harmful products and is a safe space for just about any pet. Nimer will definitely be coming back when we go on our next trip. Highly recommend!”

About: Having experienced 8 years with geriatric patients brought me to also care for their furry 4 legged family members when assisting with their personalized care at home. I'm available during the day between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday thru Thursday when my sons not home from school. I work Friday thru Sunday but can be available late evenings between 5p.m. and 10 p.m. I live in 2nd floor apartment with balcony. I keep plants and very clear space in the back yard. I keep certain treats and a dog bed on my balcony for when my 2 year old German Shephard dog nephew visits.
