We asked if she could communicate with my mom instead since we have a satellite communicator with my mom and she could relay messages to us. Despite all those complications (including our cat Romeo needing oral medication twice a day), everything went really well. Alina handled the last minute changes easily, communicated thoroughly with my mom, helped us feel at ease and when we came home our cats seemed relaxed and happy. We’re grateful for Alina’s care!”

About: I got my first cat when I was a teen, though I wanted one my whole life. I've had several cats since then, and I've helped care for my friends' and family's cats as well. I've raised kittens, helped care for senior cats, and managed aggressive or standoffish cats. What I enjoy the most about meeting new cats is learning their unique behaviors and helping them feel safe and comfortable. I really connect with cats because I relate to them a lot!

About: Hi there! I've been taking care of animals since I was young. Growing up on a farm gave me all the experience with all sorts of different animals. Here in the Portland metro area I take care of mostly dogs and cats, and the occasional chicken or two! Your furry, or feathery, friends will be treated with gentle care and compassion as all creatures need! I currently only work as a sitter so your friends and pet family will have my undivided attention and care. I am available every day each week and especially on holidays! For dogs that will be staying either daycare or overnight, there is a large doggie area at the back of my complex. There is also a long walking trail down the hill that I take dogs on that need some more exercise!

About: If you're a dog lover, you should have dogs, right? I've had dogs all my life and we currently have two small well-behaved dogs, Daisy and Buddy, both under 20 lbs. My 23-year-old son Sam is a co-sitter (I'm primary) and your doggie will receive all the love it can handle! Sam used to volunteer as a dog walker at the Maui Humane Society when we lived on Maui and we spent Saturdays at the pet-a-puppy adoption gathering at the Maui Mall. Animals seem to know we're safe and loving and tend to come to us when they need help. We've rescued a duckling, a Mynah bird, a baby squirrel, a lost kitten, and two adult dogs, caring for them in our homes until appropriately placed or returned to their owners. We also took part in a humpback whale rescue when visiting Maui Feb 2023. I work from home as an instructional designer; my son is an student in animation and is also at home and absolutely adores every animal he ever met. Two responsible adults are here at all times, so this makes it easy to give your fur baby the attention it deserves. Our dogs are indoor dogs and have free roam of our house. We have a large, fenced, dog-friendly backyard for exercise. Our two small friendly dogs can show your dog the ropes. We recommend a visit prior to placement so they can all get acquainted.

“Allen has been the best caretaker for my Mini-Aussie, Mikka! We had a very thorough meet-and-greet for all questions and to meet his beautiful pup, Kaya. Mikka has spent the day with them 2 times now while I go to work and Mikka is now "a regular" every week. She has developed few anxiety issues during the pandemic and can be a bit reactive around other dogs, so I've been very hesitant about doggy day care in any other capacity, but Allen has listened to my concerns and been extremely careful with keeping an eye on her or introducing her to any other dog he's watching or who is using the magical little private gated dog park behind his house. He's been super helpful in correcting some of her behavior issues (like a very loud persistent bark that has made me crazy!), sends photos and updates frequently, and is very quick to communicate even in between stays. I'm so relieved my anxious dog is getting playtime and has such good care that I can trust every Tuesday, and she's making new dog friends finally. Thank you, Allen!”

About: I grew up in the country with many dogs in the family. My parents bred and showed champion Afghan Hounds as well as boarded other breeds of dogs. I have raised and cared for many amazing dogs, cats, horses, goats, rabbits, salamanders and a gold fish named Charlie. My absolute love for all animals and my special bond with my 18 year old rescue, Fez, lead me to managing a local doggy daycare and boarding facility. About: Having grown up on a farm I have been around animals my entire life. My favorite have always been dogs and cats. I have taken animal care and vet sciences in 4H and volunteered in an animal shelter. I can't imagine life without animals, they add so much joy to life. I currently work part time as a caregiver for seniors. Most of my days are 4 to 6 hours long with weekends off. I have a flexible schedule . “Heath and Amy were amazing! Super flexible with all drop off and pickup needs, they have a lovely family that clearly love animals. Our dog was super happy to spend over a week with them which isn't super common as she is typically a bit nervous about new home environments. Not in this case, she made herself right at home thanks to their welcoming presence and their own pup was the perfect playmate. We will definitely be reaching out to them for future dogsitting needs.”

Our elderly pomeranian, who has limited mobility and decreased vision, requires extra attention and patience, and Andy provided just that. She was incredibly thoughtful and meticulous in making sure our senior pup was comfortable and happy, even going the extra mile when he wasn't eating very well. She worked with him to ensure he got the nutrition he needed, which really eased our minds. Our 1-year-old puppy also had a blast with Andrea, and we could see from the daily updates and photos she sent that both dogs were well-loved and cared for. We truly appreciated the time and attention she gave to each of them, and the peace of mind she provided us while we were away. “Lisa was very communicative, detail oriented and clearly cared very well for Dezzie. Her house was clean and safe, with a lovely yard. During her stay, Dezzie got all her medications, proper diet and plenty of exercise - and I received lots of photos! I think she probably had a more fun time away than I did! Lisa was also helpful and flexible about meet-n-greet, pick up and drop off times. Highly recommend, and will use her dog sitting services again!”
