“I am very thankful we found Bev to care for our cat Cote. Cote is a tamed feral cat and a long haired domestic. She is timid and slow to warm up to newcomers and adding to the quandary Cote is a perfect Primadonna. About 2 hours after we left Bev went over to check on Cote and sent a picture of Cote's surprised expression!! We requested three 1/2-hour check-ins a day. Within a couple of feedings, Bev sent an image showing Cote eating treats out of her hand!! Cote will only eat her wet food warmed and with a bit of water added and stirred into it, and Bev had no trouble doing that. Bev also realized that Cote required her food to be located wherever she was sitting in order for her to eat. In one picture Cote was eating her warmed food in the lawn!! Bev also earned the ability to pet Cote. The pictures and comments Bev sent were fun and comical and she stayed in contact with us the whole time we were gone. Bev has an innate sense about animals and their needs, and I feel very comfortable taking vacations now that we have found Bev to look after our furry Primadonna.”
About: Hi! My name is Chelsea and I have loved dogs my whole life. My family had a bichon frisé when I was growing up, and I have adopted two of my own dogs in the last few years. One was a senior rescue and the other is a 3 year old rescue. Because of this, I do have experience working with senior dogs and administering medication to dogs. I have 15 years of experience caring for both dogs and cats. About: I absolutely love watching of cats of any kind I only have experience with taking care of family members cats. I do have some experience with giving cats medicine. I can drop in for a couple of hours to give your kitty attention or if they don’t like being alone I can stay with them all day.

About: As a long time pet lover, I began caring for dogs in my neighborhood and volunteering at the local animal shelter at the age of 12. I went on to work for a local petsitting company as a house sitter and dog walker while I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology. I am a skilled dog trainer currently offering training services in the Eugene/Springfield area. My dog training career started when I completed an internship with a local dog trainer in high school and since then I have continued to expand my knowledge of dog behavior through training experience, research, interviews with trainers, and online courses. I utilize gentle training techniques that reduce fear, anxiety, and stress in dogs and promote relaxation and confidence. I never engage in harsh training methods such as prong collars, shock collars, dominance, or physical force; my techniques are based only on positive reinforcement and trust. I specialize in training dogs with separation anxiety so if your dog suffers from this, they will be in good hands and they will never be left alone for long periods. Before joining Rover, I was already providing dog boarding and daycare to my existing training clients. I have experience with a variety of senior dogs and I am able to administer any medications your dog requires. I also offer daily teeth brushing if this is part of your dog's routine. You can rest assured that whatever your pet's needs are, they will be met while they are under my care. I am also an independently insured petsitter with Pet Care Insurance which covers accidents or injuries and provides that extra peace of mind. Petsitting and dog training is my full-time job and my husband works from home, so there is usually always someone home with the dogs. I provide boarding and daycare 7-days a week and your dog’s health and happiness is my sole responsibility allowing me to be attentive to your dog's needs throughout the day. My home is an ideal boarding or daycare situation for your small dog. I only accept dogs that stand 17 inches or less at the shoulder and weigh 30lbs or less. I do occasionally make exceptions to this rule for senior dogs up to 40lbs that are very good with small dogs, calm, low energy and slow moving. I don’t accept Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Pitbull Terriers, Bulldogs, Bull Terriers, Huskys, German Shepherds and Chow Chows or their mixes due to these breeds not being a good fit for my small dog environment (a small percentage of 15% or less is okay if it came up in your dog’s mixed breed DNA test though). Please keep in mind I carefully screen all dogs for proper temperament your dog needs to be friendly with a group of dogs during a daycare trial or meet and greet in order to be approved for boarding. My priority is to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for small dogs, and reduce the risk of injury. I have a house with a dog door and fenced yard and your dog will have full access to just like they are used to at home. I provide frequent potty breaks as well as not all dogs are familiar with a dog door. At night I offer a number of different sleeping options depending on your dog’s size and temperament. They might sleep in a crate in the bedroom with us, in a soft sided crate on our bed, in an exercise pen, or loose in the living room where they'll have comfy couches and beds available. Some dogs I allow to be loose in the bed with us but it depends on the dog. I do not by default require dogs to be crated, and if you prefer your dog not be crated they can usually have a crate-free experience at my house. In this case, I only use a crate or exercise pen as a last resort if your dog displays destructive behaviors that cannot be managed. I am very safety oriented and I will ensure your dog is never left alone with my dogs, or dogs from other households. I use tall pet gates to ensure all entrances are secure when doors to the outside are being opened to prevent escape artists. I always check the vaccination status (including bordatella) of all potential dogs who stay with me. If your dog experiences an illness or injury during their stay I will contact your dog’s usual veterinarian. In case of an emergency after hours I can take them to Wilvet South at 444 B Street in Springfield. I do everything I can to make sure your pet has a stress-free, comfortable stay with me.

About: I've taken care of pets since I was a youngster. I had a diabetic dog for years, so I'm aware of the need for medications. I LOVE dogs and cats of all sizes and ages. I am an avid walker, so would love to get a good hike in with your dog/s. There is nothing better than curling up in the evening with a dog or cat to snuggle with. I'm retired so I'm willing and available to travel and stay at your house thereby relieving the stress your pets endure staying in a kennel or at other people's homes. If I will be taking care of pets for several days, I would prefer to care for the pets in your home. I currently don't have accommodations to care for pets where I live.

About: I have spent my life as a pet owner and I like to treat everyone's animals the way I would like mine to be treated. I have, at one time or another, owned dogs, cats, birds, fish, turtles, rabbits, snakes, rats, goats, horses, and chickens and am comfortable caring for many more. I know this site is mostly limited to dog and cat care, but I'm happy to pet sit anything. I am happy to care for pets either in my home or in yours and I'm very flexible regarding my schedule. Every day I care for my own household animals, and I'm more than capable of taking care of plenty more. My animals include 3 dogs of varying sizes, two cats, a parrot, and an aquatic turtle. Though I have plenty of experience with other animals as well. I'm happy to either host animals in my home or venture to pets in their own homes. About: I have a cocker spaniel back home, whom I walked daily. During the winter I walked my neighbors dog 5 times a week for 45 minutes after school. I work from home managing social media for a local bakery in Portland, I make my own schedule. I also have practice from 6:25-8:25 daily. My dog used to bark at other dogs on walks, using a reward system I’ve trained her to stop and wait quietly when dogs pass.
