We are typically very protective over our kitty especially with her tender stages; but upon meet and greet session with Cailyn we soon became at ease. She was professional, prompt/punctual, responsive, also had warm people and effective communication skills which were important to us. Our kitty who typically runs and hides with those unfamiliar; was extremely cautious during Cailyn’s initial visit but yet stayed present in the room with curiosity (again she usually bolts/hides with strangers so surprising). During our 4 day vacation out of town Cailyn took great care of her even checking up on her twice daily to make sure her food and water bowls were refreshed; kitty litter changed, keep her company and to ensure she received her kitty medications on time. She followed all my specific instructions and requests to a T. Although we were several states away on vacation we had great accesses to oneanother even with nice photo updates of our pet she would send us. We would highly recommend Cailyn for those looking for an extremely responsible, reliable, pleasant and purrfect caregiver for your pets. About: I’ve started walking dogs since I was walking in diapers. Throughout the years I’ve taken care of different sizes of dogs~ puppies to seniors. I’ve taken care of dogs that needed medical care and trained my dog and my grandma’s pup. I can say I know a bit of things when it comes dogs. I’m currently going to school in the afternoon and working at a part time, my mornings are almost always open and some of my nights. I’ll Still be willingly to work something out between those times. I like to take my dog out every 4 hrs even if he isn’t waiting at the door just to make sure he gets a nice breeze of the outside. I usually give him a cup of food every morning.

About: I was Blessed with a Tortoiseshell cat for 15 years named Penelope Rose. Pets truly help us through the hardest times of our lives and we help them in return. They do find us, for sure. She was developed cat asthma (rare) and medication was not helping her so I put her down and that was my last pet years ago. I grew up having a grey Siamese cat. Both cats followed me everywhere. Every cat I meet has a unique personality that I love getting to know each and every one. Cats make me feel very calm & relaxed and I feel I have that same effect on them as well. I like the idea of sometime developing a cat toy line because I used to make so many homemade, safe ones when I was growing up. I understand Dogs & Cats and they seem to get me too. I used to foster a 3-legged handi-capable cat and an amazing 1-eyed cat (who is older than 20 years and is now blind). She keeps on going that sweet girl! Shes got a great will to live. Having traveled to Portland from San Diego to visit our toddler granddaughter, we were in a bind. Our mixed-breed dog is reactive to the toddler and to the two cats who also live in the house, and that makes for a stressful visit. I wanted to get a dog sitter, but I was worried about finding someone so far from home on short notice. Our dog has a lot of separation anxiety and is rather high-strung. About: I worked at a vet clinic for 3.5 years but due to life changes I now work at a pet store and petsit to continue to work with animals while I work towards my goal of working in vet med again. I’m reliable with my own transportation and am very knowledgeable in proper pet care. I am communicative, compassionate, and attentive to animals and their needs. I have been my own friends’ and family’s pet sitter for the past 5 years and I treat every animal as if they were my own while in my care. My whole life revolves around animals; I have 4 cats of my own and have fostered 15 animals successfully in the past year, ranging from cats of all ages, dogs, and Guinea pigs. I also work directly with animals at my job and am looking to continue that path. I have multiple rooms in my home to separate the animals in my care if needed, I have access to professional services if an emergency were to arise while also having knowledge of what to look for in with different medical conditions that can be present in animals. I have a good understanding of animal behavior and I understand their needs.
About: I have taken care of dogs since we found our pit bull mix while I was in the 2nd grade. I would help potty train with her, actively play,walk, and feed and water her while living at home. My family has always been dog lovers, and I am no exception! I now am a proud owner of a 1 year and 9 month old boxer named Copper. My hope for everyone is to find responsibility and companionship in pet ownership as I have. I'd be honored to be included in that journey with you and your dog/cat! While I do have a full time job as an in home caregiver of a disabled individual, my schedule can also be fairly flexible in the daytime hours and on the weekends. When I'm at home, I am always on the lookout for what my pet needs or wants. So, I am used to meeting the need of furry friends.
About: While growing up I have always had a dog in the home. I’m a huge dog lover and don’t know what I would do if I did not have a dog in my life. I remember when my parents let me chose our next dog when I was young. I chose a sheltie and named him Arrow. The reason for the name Arrow was when I went to pick him up I noticed in his fur on the back of his head was an arrow. I loved taking care of Arrow and we had a special bond! I loved taking him on walks and he loved chasing me around the house. When I turned 15 I started to take care of one of my neighbors cats and fish when they went on vacations. After completing one summer, I started taking care of their cats and fish for the next eight years before I moved out. Once the rest of my neighbors found out I was known in the neighborhood for taking care of my neighbors dogs and cats when they were on vacations! I have also taken care of many of my coworkers cats and dogs as well. So rest assured your pet will be in good hands while you are on vacation. It will be one less stress to worry about. I currently work full time, however work three 12 hours shifts. I’m currently off Friday-Monday. So I’m available for the weekends, so perfect for anyone wanting to do a weekend getaway! I do work graveyard so I’m available anytime after 2pm on Fridays. However, if you need to drop of earlier just communicate so I can plan ahead. My girlfriend and I live in a townhouse. I don’t have a fenced backyard. However, have a small backyard that is used for potty breaks. It does have a small area of grass turf (fake grass). The good news we live in Fairview in the Fairview Terrace community. We have a very large area for dogs. So your dog will have lots of playtime in the grassy area. Also, the neighborhood is perfect for walking your dog as well. The community is fenced and a gated community as well. Our community is very dog friendly and many pet owners. We also have a micro mini Golden doodle. So your dog will have a playmate as well. We can also send photos of your pet to you while on vacation to help with the separation. I know when I go on vacation I have a hard time leaving my fur baby behind. For me, getting photos of my fur baby made the vacation a little easier!

It’s a gift to be able to connect with animals. I love to return the positive energy an animal gives. I feel like every animal deserves kindness. I feel like I have a gift to be able read, understand, calm and relax and add happiness to an animal’s day. They are therapy for me as much as I feel I am for them. I’m happiest and genuinely feel most at-ease with animals. It’s important for me they feel comfortable with and around me. I know that much like human children, routine is very important to pets. If you need me to check in on them, feed /water them, potty breaks/short walks/close-by parks/play toss-the-ball, hug/cuddle/companion-time or stay at your home I am available to help. Animals make my day, daily! Whether it be my friend’s dogs & cats or the Brahma bull that is up the road, I try to see an animal each day. I do have experience with animals that have high-anxiety, special needs and abusive backgrounds. I currently have a few tears in my meniscus which is preventing me to do rigorous walks. I will be scheduling surgery soon but that does not prevent me from tossing a ball around for a dog. I look forward to meeting and caring for your pet(s)! Although I do have a wonderful, small fenced-in yard, I live in an 800 sq ft home therefore, I think it's best to go where the pet is most-comfortable (their own home).
About: I've had the privilege of caring for dogs for over a decade. I have experience administering medication, walking, cleaning and playing with puppies and middle age dogs. I am a full time artist with quite an open and flexible schedule. I am available during the day during the week and flexible during weekends. I love playing and spending time with my own cat, catering to her needs and spending time together. I have no issue crating other's dogs if asked.
About: I've worked at doggy daycare/boarding facilities for 4 years, and have plenty of experience with, sitting, feeding, and medication administration! Outside of professional experience, I've been around dogs my entire life, having been raised with 3 in my family. I do currently have a job, but I'm scheduled either SUPER early in the morning or late at night so I'll be able to hang out with your babies all day! I'm more than willing to stay overnight as well to ensure the best care. (: I put the utmost care into petsitting, and will do anything needed while dropping by to care for your babies. I've always put in the time to bond with any dog in my care, even the ones with separation anxiety or any other specific needs.
About: I’ve worked in Veterinary medicine for 16+ years which includes Kennel/Veterinary Assistant in a general practice ,Emergency Veterinary Medicine for almost 6 years now. I moved from Maine in the summer of 2024. I’ve had on and off experience over many years of pet sitting mostly for my veterinary co workers pets in their homes (multiple cats, multiple dogs and sometimes a combination of both). I would enjoy having positive experiences with your pets on their normal day. I work Full time in the Veterinary field but I am open to my days off spending time doing walks or drop in visits possibly daycare - Working in emergency veterinary medicine for many years your pets safety is a priority and I can recognize potential emergencies before anything critical happens.
