About: My husband and I own a very sweet, playful Great Dane/mastiff and a pure bred English Mastiff. We have experience with all kinds of dogs and other animals. We have a large finished upstairs where our dog loves to run and play. We have a large backyard that is fully fenced/gated. We walk daily (in nice weather). We have fun toys to play with and a whole room for your dog to sleep in (instead of a cage) but if your dog prefers a cage we have a huge one he can sleep in (or you can bring your own). I stay home so your pet will have plenty of company! We have three young girls who absolutely love playing with dogs. They are gentle and dogs always love them.

About: I have a high-energy dog that has prepared me in all aspects of pet care! I am well-versed in on- and off-leash exercise and have plenty of ideas for indoor enrichment activities. Having raised my own dog from 6 weeks old, I’m familiar with all of the accidents that can happen when pets are home alone. I’ve also cared for elderly and medically-complex dogs. I've enjoyed watching pets for my loved ones and now that I am in a house and working remotely I want to be able to provide my pet care experience to more fur babies. While the majority of my experience is with dogs I've also taken care of cats, fish, anoles, bearded dragons, rabbits, chinchillas, and hedgehogs. I have caged animals that I let out when I can supervise them so they house is animal proofed and anything potentially harmful is locked away. I have baby gates that can be put up to keep puppies/ elderly dogs from falling down the stairs. My back yard is enclosed on 3 sides by fencing and would be watched and leashed at all times when outside.

About: I say the above because for many years, my long time dog buddy, Shelby (pictured in the photo I'm holding), loved to ride in my car, right by my side. Shelby passed away in 2018 and I miss her so much, every day. In 2019, I rescued a blue heeler/beagle mix, Nova; then in 2024, a shepherd mix, Holly. Dogs have been my companions for more than 40 years, and I have loved caring for, walking, playing, vacationing and just plain hanging with them. . I truly love dogs. They are one of humankind's most noble and steadfast animal friends. I would very much enjoy taking your best friend (or friends) for a walk. I have always enjoyed the company of my canines...and I'm sure I'd feel the same way about your four-legged pals. Plus, getting out with them is great exercise...for both dog and human! I am semi retired, so I have much flexibility in the hours that can be devoted to dog walking. I walk my own dogs in all kinds of weather, which is necessary given the variable climate here in NE Ohio! In my own home, my dogs get out for walks at least three times a day, we well as potty breaks where necessary. They have crates where they can freely go to when they wish to. Most important is that the dogs and I adhere to a stable, regular routine, including feeding and playtimes.

“Samantha was wonderful! So friendly, communicative, and clearly took great care of our dog, Finn. He’s 11 and can be a little finicky when staying somewhere new, and she even made him fresh eggs (his favorite breakfast topper) to encourage him to eat. She sent lots of photos, kept us updated, and made sure he got plenty of exercise and attention. We’re so happy to have found a great local sitter and hope she can watch him again!”
