After spending 2 whole weeks struggling to find a sitter that was willing and able to take in a large, unfixed, hyper pitbull on short notice I got a response from Karma and instantly had a good feeling that this one might work out. And work out it did! She was very professional and answered all my questions and concerns promptly. Before meeting Karma I had almost given up hope of finding someone that would not only be able to handle but also appreciate my fur baby and give him lots of love while I was away...I was getting frustrated with time wasted on meeting sitters that didn't read my bio thoroughly and were not knowledgeable or vigilant enough to take on a challenging pup like mine. Then Karma confidently messaged me and convinced me that she was up for the job and that setting up a meet and greet with her would be worth my while. About: I live in an apartment at Kent State and am back and forth from Solon in the summer! My dog at my parents home is very reactive and we have been with many trainers to calm him down. I have much experience with dogs like him and learned from trainers. I have sat for various owners over the last few years and always enjoy keeping animals company! I am a college student! I am fully responsible for his care, including feeding, walking, bathing, nail trimming, etc. I always check him for ticks after visiting a park and know how to safely remove them. I enjoy going for long walks, especially in summer, so would be glad to give your dog exercise. My kids have had goats, rabbits, chickens, turkeys, and ducks, which are all fun to play with, and I would be glad to care for your less-typical pets, if needed. I have even cared for lizards and snakes. I am a teacher, so have loads of time available in the summer. During the school year, I am available most weekends and after 4 on weekdays. About: I grew up with 3 dogs (2 rhodesian ridgebacks, and one mutt). When my family travels, I often house & pet sit the dog and cats. I have experience walking dogs of many sizes, and know basic commands. I am also comfortable with cats, as I grew up with them as well. I work from my home, so I have flexibility to walk around my daily meeting schedule. I truly miss having a dog of my own, but have a tricky travel schedule that does not allow it now :( I usually know my meeting schedule a few days in advance, and in general it is pretty regular. I can usually end my day by 4 pm and start earlier, around 7 am. Looking forward to working with you and your dog!
About: Update June 1, 2026. I have taken a part-time job and right now I can only accept cat drop in requests . Unfortunately I can’t commit to dog walking because of this part-time job unless it’s on the weekend. I am answering as a pet owner. I am hoping to start working as a pet sitter/dog walker soon. As a kid we had birds and hamsters, then graduated to cats when I was about 14. As a young adult I usually had up to 4 cats at the same time. When my kids were in high school, my husband introduced me to dogs by re-homing a dog named Lucy. We still have her. I had never had dogs before but I am so glad I did not say NO to hubby at the time. We have 2 dogs now but no cats. I do miss having cats and hope to again some day. I left my job of 34 years and would love to do something I have been wanting to do for a long time but never got around to. I am happy to care for cats too! At my house we have invisible fence to keep the dogs from leaving the yard, though our younger dog needs to be on a long lead because he is so excitable and cannot always be trusted to stay in the yard. We also have invisible fence inside to keep both dogs out of the kitchen.
About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life. When a couple of years ago we lost our senior family dog, I started volunteering with a local rescue and have fostered 20+ puppies over the past few years. Fostering has given me experience with everything from energetic, playful pups to post-surgery care—things like baths, basic grooming, medications (even injections), vet pickups, and lots of patience and love. I also help neighbors with dog walking and pet sitting, so I’m used to different personalities and routines. I truly just love being around dogs—and getting outside for walks is a bonus for me too! I’m attentive, reliable, and treat every pet like my own.
About: I’ve been walking and watching dogs since I could ride my bike around my hometown by myself. My family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers have always been able to rely on me to provide their pups with long walk or runs, feedings, baths (when needed), and endless cuddles (if consented to by said pup). I work full-time in Chagrin Falls; however, with a high-energy dog of my own, my free time is usually spent with him outside hiking or playing fetch in parks and on trails in the area. At this time I’m not offering boarding services. My apartment only allows for my service dog (PSA) to be with me there, unfortunately. But I’m more than happy to come house sit! I currently have a 10 year old bichon frise named Bentley, who is updated on all of his shots and am very knowledgeable in training, walking, feeding, health, and playing with dogs. I'm currently a stay at home mom with family support nearby so I'll have plenty of time to take care and play with your pups/cats! “So happy I found Karma on here to watch my pup while I'm away! After spending 2 whole weeks struggling to find a sitter that was willing and able to take in a large, unfixed, hyper pitbull on short notice I got a response from Karma and instantly had a good feeling that this one might work out. And work out it did! She was very professional and answered all my questions and concerns promptly. Before meeting Karma I had almost given up hope of finding someone that would not only be able to handle but also appreciate my fur baby and give him lots of love while I was away...I was getting frustrated with time wasted on meeting sitters that didn't read my bio thoroughly and were not knowledgeable or vigilant enough to take on a challenging pup like mine. Then Karma confidently messaged me and convinced me that she was up for the job and that setting up a meet and greet with her would be worth my while. Her cool, calm and collected demeanor was a breath of fresh air after so many failed encounters that had left both my pup and I feeling quite anxious. It was such a relief to see Zeus warm right up to Karma and make himself at home at her house; where it was apparent that caring for pups is a full-time job. It was such a relief to finally be able to leave town to handle a family emergency knowing that my fur baby is in good hands with a sitter that is well equipped to handle anything pup-related. She even has given me (a first-time dog mom) some great advice as far as training and health concerns. So far she has kept in touch with consistent updates as to how Zeus is adjusting and plenty of pics and vids. If you are looking for a sitter who will put your mind at ease that your pup will be under expert care and whatever issues or concerns may come up she can be trusted to handle it promptly and professionally, Karma should be at the top of the list! Beyond caring for my own dogs, I volunteer with a local animal shelter for a “Dogs Day Out” program where I take shelter dogs on outside to provide socialization, exercise and enrichment. These experiences alone have strengthened my understanding of dogs with many personalities and needs, allowing me to provide compassionate, attentive, and reliable care for every pet I get to meet. :) I work in the emergency department, so my schedule varies, but my partner and I live together so generally when I am not home he is there, and vice versa. When I’m not at work, I will spend all my time with your pet, taking them on walks, to dog parks, to get pup cups, etc, whatever you as the owner allow or prefer! I have a fenced in yard at my home, so dogs can be off leash to exercise, use the potty, and play time. During their stay in my home, they are welcome to be free roaming, not in crates, unless owners would prefer crates.
