About: I enjoyed taking care of other pets, I can’t have my own pet as I travel once a month I take care of my daughters 4 cats and 2 dogs often, and my friends 2 deaf dogs quite often I work at RIT, prefer to take care of pets near RIT , off Bailey Rd/Lehigh/East River area All my life, I always have dog and/or cat until 4 years ago. About: I have always had a dog or puppy roaming around my house ever since I was little! I genuinely love all animals and have experience with all breeds of dogs. I have the summer off from teaching and wanted to pick up this part time for enjoyment! I miss living at my moms with my pup in Syracuse. About: I have a lifetime of experience with pet care, which began with helping my mom run her in-home dog boarding business when I was growing up. The skills and experience that I've gained in that time enable me to provide the best possible care for your pet. I live with my girlfriend who is a veterinary technician with over 15 years of experience. Ours is a loving home, with a large, securely fenced yard. Our top priority is to keep your dog safe, feeling comfortable, and relaxed, just as they would be in their own home. I offer boarding, walks, in home visits, and more. I am comfortable giving meds, preparing special diets, and caring for puppies as well as seniors. I used to train and show dogs when I was younger, and can help get your puppy off on the right foot with house training. Dog sitting is my only job, and my flexible schedule revolves around that. I can be available at any reasonable time for pick-up and drop off appointments. I'm home almost all of the time to be with the dogs, only leaving to run brief errands when necessary. All dogs are cared for in my home. I have a large, securely fenced in back yard. During the day, dogs are free to be outside to play in the backyard as much as they wish. All dogs sleep in large crates or X-pens in our comfortable dog room at night, or when we are not home. We have a young cavalier who would be happy to have new friends to play with. For safety, I separate dogs for feeding and if we're out of the house, although it's rare that no one is home. Guests need to like other dogs and people.

About: I love all dogs and have had dogs my whole life. I currently have a 4 year old yellow lab, who is great with other dogs. We have always had more than one dog in the house but we recently lost one to cancer, So caring for your pet would be a thrill to both me and my pet, I have recently retired form the school system and found that I have a lot of extra time that I could spend with your pet, playing and training basic commands. We are an adventure duo -- you can catch us at the beach playing fetch in the water, hiking, or just taking long strolls along the canal! On days where the weather is rainy, we still get 3 walks a day (morning, noon, evening) with thorough wipe downs after! Meal times are interwoven with short training sessions. I have dedicated several rooms in my house to doggy activity areas -- agility equipment, floor mats, etc (see photos). Grooming is done very regularly. My pup has environmental allergies so we also do a water rinse daily when we return from our adventures. When your baby stays with me, they will receive the same treatment (if they are comfortable getting brushed). He is my entire life and I couldn’t be happier! I have included photos of my home (and the excessive amount of dog toys we own) in my profile. Several of the rooms in my house are dedicated to doggy activities/enrichment and I also have a fenced in yard. I have also made sure that my set up allows me to separate dogs from each other if they ever get over stimulated -- I have enough rooms where each dog can be in their own room. I also have a doggy door so most days when the weather is not atrocious the dogs can relieve themselves/play as they please. Also my sun room is dedicated to dog care so if need be I can gate off/separate pooches that get too worked up (or just need privacy eating). I do have two crates — one for super small dogs and the other for dogs up to 35 lbs. My dog is crate trained but prefers free range so I have dog beds in every single room. Dogs are welcome on furniture but please make sure they have been recently bathed (within a few days before) if you are boarding as we keep our home extremely clean (the carpets get washed every month and vacuum and swiffering are done daily). We are probably not a good fit if your dog does not get along with other dogs, because my dog is still young and very energetic. If your dog does not like to play but does not react aggressively to other dogs attempting to initiate play, Momo would be fine as he does eventually give up if the other dog does not engage him at all. When we schedule a meet and greet, you can expect to meet us outside the front yard for a couple block long walk together before going to the backyard to let the pooches sniff each other out. Since Momo is a chow-mix, he is protective by nature and does not like it if other fur-babies he does not know well try to jump on his mom so I will likely only greet your baby after I put him back in the house.
About: I have always had dogs and cats as a part of my family and I also spent a lot of time cat sitting for friends and family. My family fostered puppies and dogs for several years through a local organization! I am in school studying animal behavior and have done an internship at a cat shelter giving enrichment and behavior training to the particularly shy cats. I have had rescue cats most of my life and recently have taken care of my daughter's dog when out of town I am retired now and have available time. About: I grew up with a dog, I love ALL types of animals all shapes and sizes. During my time in the navy I was using rover as a way to be around other peoples pets and help out. Now that I finally have a house I have my rescue dog and we’re happy together. He’s looking for some weekend friends ! I work mon-Thur about 9 hour days I am off every other Friday and weekends. About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 12. I looked after neighborhood dogs when the family would be out of town. I work remotely in my job so I am happy to work from wherever is needed to take care of your pet. My schedule is flexible and I will work hard to accommodate the schedule of you pet. If you just need someone to come to walk your dog or just spend time with your cat, I have the flexibility in my day to do that. My first goal is to make your dog or cat comfortable with my visit. If I'm staying in your home, I will follow the routine you have set to do just that.
About: In highschool I was very popular in my neighborhood from doing there dog nails, to dog sitting, over night stays, and even medications. Even back in high school I had a part time and school and still made sure the fur babies were taken care of. To this day I still dog sit for my neighbor. I also worked at a doggy daycare for about 6 months then i moved, I learned so much while I was there in that short period of time from learning to gain respect and how to control a group of 15+ dogs . And was in a animal science program in highschool with a mentorship at a clinic, then tried to go to college for my vet tech degree but too expensive(still paying that off). I also do have a very energetic German shepherd who I train every day she knows pretty much everything(sit, lay down, roll over,paw, other paw,high five, spin, heel, center, look, leave it, back up, and wait). I also dog sat for my boyfriend's coworker who had an older pointer who had a seziure not only did I comfort the dog but I called owner asap then vet, I then called off of work. Just because it's not my animal doesn't mean I will love them any less. But the take away from all that is I have a lot of experience in the animal department. I'm currently working part time and have a lot of free time on my hands and love being around animals . I only work wensday-saturday the other days I'm free. But as you can see with my profile I do have my own fur baby but my boyfriend never works nights or weekends so she won't be alone. For the pets at clients housing not only will I respond to you text asap even if I'm busy, I will also ask for guide lines and try to keep your dog on the schedule you have them on consistency is key, especially when a change like you leaving happens. I also am a big over thinker so before I let the dog out if you have a yard I will always make sure the gates are close and secure and make sure there's nothing laying out that would harm them. When I dog sit I imagine as if it's my own dog.
“Julia was great with Diamond. She made my pup feel at ease during her walks. Julia communicates well and is very responsive to questions or doubts you might have. She kept me informed during every walk and sent many photos and videos. She's also flexible with her schedule, I had to move diamond's walking times about a half hour and Julia was totally fine with it. Very responsible young lady. Would definitely book with her again in the future”
About: Hello there! I am currently entering my third year of college, and since it's currently summer, I have a lot of free time, so I thought why not use the excessive amount of free time I have to hang out with some fur babies? I've owned animals my whole life, starting from the age of 9. I currently own two cats, and I love them to bits! They're my whole world. :) I love all kinds of animals, especially dogs! I currently cannot own one as a college student, so that's another reason why I decided to start providing services on Rover - giving your furbabies the love they rightfully deserve! I am flexible with requests and can gladly accommodate you if needed. You can contact me if you need anything, or you just want to ask questions!! I will answer as soon as I can! I have a side job, to pay off the tuition for my summer classes, that starts at 4pm every single day. So with that being said, I am free all day every day before 4pm. I do not currently board, but I will definitely make sure your pets feel safe and loved in your home and will double check that they have their water/food filled, before leaving your pet in the crate or in your home for the meantime.

“Alex and his partner were amazing at taking care of our two pups. We received daily photos and updates. From the updates you could really tell how much they were bonding and getting to know our dogs. They are very professional and really make the extra effort to understand the dogs and make sure they have everything they need to be happy and settled while they are away. My dogs exhibited some territorial behavior when a new dog came to stay, but they were able to handle the situation with care and thoughtfulness. About: I have always had dogs and cats as a part of my family and I also spent a lot of time cat sitting for friends and family. My family fostered puppies and dogs for several years through a local organization! I am in school studying animal behavior and have done an internship at a cat shelter giving enrichment and behavior training to the particularly shy cats. I work part time, only 3-5 hours a day at a shop a few minutes from my house. Other than work and quick errands from time to time I’m home full time otherwise! I have a huge backyard that is not fenced in, however your pet would have full on leash supervised access to the yard! I have an older cat who gets along very well with other animals.

“Allison was absolutely wonderful! Our babies, Boone and Briar stayed with her for 3 days. She sent us updates, and many pictures, I never was never left wondering how they were doing. Briar was born 100% deaf so I'm naturally a little worried whenever he stays with someone new, as deaf dogs have a completely different set of needs than a hearing dog. Allison had experience with another deaf dog before, which was incredible to hear because so many shy away from deaf pups. It's very apparent she loves your baby as if it were her own while they're with her. Boone and Briar loved their stay, and are snoring away from all the excitement! Will 100% be using Allison again for all of our future doggy needs, and you should too!”
About: I grew up on farms in the south, so I've been around animals my whole life. I moved to Rochester specifically because of how dog friendly it is. I think dogs deserve to be treated like family because they are our family! I work from home taking care of pets is my main job. If i could fill every hour of the week with animals, I would! I give every dog the time and attention they deserve. I have a fenced in back yard and a friendly dog of my own to keep yours company. I send pictures throughout the day to let you know how your pup is doing!
