She went above and beyond to make sure our two cats were comfortable and well cared for, including daily playtime and even handling an unexpected bathroom cleanup. One of our cats is quite shy, but she came out of her shell much more than we would typically expect, while our more outgoing cat simply adored Kassidy—cuddles and all! I’m also a pretty anxious cat mom, and Kassidy did everything possible to put us at ease. She responded to every message right away, followed all of our instructions, offered to do more than was required, and sent detailed daily updates and photos of BOTH cats without us ever having to ask. We were away for a little over a week and she stopped by each day to make sure their food/water dispensers were working properly, give our oldest cat his eye medication, and give them lots of attention. About: I grew up with cats, actually! While I currently dont have the ability to adopt my own fuzzies again, I do help out with friends who go on vacations and things like that. **I also do bunnies! I was an ARBA registered judge and show rabbit breeder, 4H judge, and 4H instructor and animal trainer.** Pregnant and not allowed to change your kitty's potty? Or maybe youre like my friends and you have to be out of town for a vacation or family meeting, but cant take your fuzzies with you. Some cats do not do well with a boarding kennel situation, so skip the stress and giving them anxiety- hire someone to come check on them at home! Kittens to seniors, all are welcome- even the grumpy ones. Are they on a diet? Do they like tube treats? Even if they made a stinky, I will dump all of the litter out & wash the pan, then put the bag outside in the trash bin so that its not smelling up the house. History: My mother had a long haired tortie before I was born (she tolerated me as much as she was willing from what I was told) and when I was 4, we adopted a creamsicle boy from the neighbors (orange & white tabby). That cat was my best friend for 13 years before I had to say goodbye. We waited a bit, then went to the shelter and adopted a shorthair baby tortie that was really more of my mother's cat (like the previous tortie, although I didnt pick her because of the color). I'd drop in from college and even visit from out of state years later to take care of the tortie while my mother was on vacations. She was a very shy, quiet cat vs my creamsicle who was a big bold boy (he was just a massive cat, not overweight) and even though she knew who I was, I wasnt HER person, therefore my only purpose (to her) was food, water, and litterbox cleaning. Even though I used to play with her when she was younger, I respected her boundaries because in her defense, I *did* move out after the first few years of her life. She lived to be 16. Meanwhile I adopted a little white sock, white blaze, gray tabby girl just after college and had her for only 7 years before her number was called. She was a little purr machine cuddle bug until the day she took her final nap. After the loss of her and my dog, I personally havent had the time or housing requirements to be able to own pets again, so I do what I can to help other busy pet parents!

About: We’ve taken care of our friend’s and roommates pets (both cats and dogs) for years before adopting our own dog, Gary, 7 years ago! I grew up with lots of animas and had loved them for as long as I can remember. I enjoy connecting and getting to know them, and I strive to make them feel comfortable, safe and relaxed in our home. I also have many years of experience babysitting and working with children, which isn’t too different in some ways. I will treat your dog as lovingly as if it were my own and will make sure to send pictures and videos so you know they are doing well. I am working full time from home, monday through friday, so your dog will not be left home alone for long periods of time. We usually go out for a long walk in the morning, a shorter walk for lunch (depending on the weather 20-30 min) and another long walk in the late afternoon, then a quick pee before bed. I would be happy to follow any rules/recommendations you may have, or answer any questions. I typically don’t let a new dog off-leash unless I am very familiar with them and the owner has explicitly requested that I do so. I am careful with other dogs, unleashed or not, that may approach and respectfully ask other owners to keep their distance if I sense that there is any stress on the part of either dog. Our apartment is child and dog proofed!

About: I have always adored dogs since I was a kid, having grown up with one myself! About: I have had dogs and cats my entire life, and I currently have two cats of my own! I have been a pet sitter in New York for five years. I love animals and have experience with many different types, both as an owner and a sitter. I use rover for my own pet sitting, so I know first hand about the anxieties that come with using it. Because of this I know how to make it a great experience! I'm looking forward to working with you to give your pets the best care! I am a teacher, so I am at work from 7:30-2:30. I have a lot of time after work to go on walks, play with pets, and give them love and attention. I have two cats who both love dogs. I have watched several dogs of multiple breeds and sizes in my apartment and never had any issues with them getting along! I also have a multiple rooms so that I can keep the animals separate when I am not home. My apartment has a fenced in area that can be used for potty breaks, and I live blocks from Propect Park for longer walks! I use rover for drop in visits, so when I am watching a pet in your home I know how to make sure your home is properly cared for as well as your pets!

My dog Benny warmed up to her during the first meet which was great, especially since he’s typically a shy boy! They hit it off which I loved to see <3 she also asked how he preferred to sleep (bed or crate etc) which I thought was so kind of her to ask - she kept his comfort in mind for his stay.”
