About: I grew up in somewhat of a menagerie in south Florida where we had lots of property and animals like 5 Akitas, a ring tailed lemur, a kinkajou, 2 house cats and 2 big cats (lynx & bobcat). I am no stranger to rolling up my sleeves at home or for my clients. I've cared for pets internationally in Morocco and domestically in NYC. As a natural caregiver and as a clinical social worker I have the highest standards when it comes to those in my charge. I currently work remotely on a part time basis as a recruiter and a caregiver for my grandmother. We have a full house with support coming from many directions and I am looking for a way to make a little extra cash while spending time with animals. My grandmother and husband would prefer not to have a permanent pet, so this is a great compromise. As a clinical social worker I take my work with humans and pets very seriously. It's a mission and I took an oath as an MSW graduate to do my best for all in my charge. My home is in a quiet residential neighborhood in Jackson Heights near a dog park. About: I started out day sitting my friends dogs in Manhattan. When I moved to queens, my housemate has a cavapoo, Boba whom I been currently been co-sitting for over two years. I been the primary sitter as I am at home mostly and am used to the daily routines of seeing what Boba needs and understand him more and more everyday. I have a flexible schedule as I am in between jobs and mostly around the area. I spend most of my day around my house dog. On top of that I am a health conscious person and I love bringing Boba along on my workouts and walks around the neighborhood. I look forward to growing the community! I've setup systems to ensure safety as a priority. In the day Boba stays in the living area and it is fenced up to prevent him from going into the Kitchen and Bedrooms as those areas have food which is not only bad for his diet but could be a hazard. The living area will be filled with his favorite toys and occasionally to promote positive behavior,I will put together nourishment toys such as a semi-sealed container with treats to keep Boba engaged and entertained throughout the day. I walk him twice a day usually if the weather permits which is after lunch and after dinner.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for over 2 decades. I’ve helped train dogs, provided prescribed medication, assisted in emergencies and give lots of puppy pats. I’ve worked with 15- year-old chihuahuas and 6 month old Labrador puppies without any issue or worry. Overall, I’ve been a pet owner and understand how important it is to feel comfortable putting your dog in a new situation. So I’m happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have. My main priority is that your pet is safe, comfortable and cared for until your return. I’m a freelancer and I usually can work remotely, so I have the freedom to schedule my week as I see fit. That means I can take dogs out multiple times in a day, without it disrupting my schedule. In my home, I live in an apartment which means I take dogs out every 2 hours. Depending on their size and energy I take longer or shorter walks. And at other people homes I’m happy to follow specific instructions but, as my own set of rules, I make sure to clean any messes I find on the property, if a vacuum is available I’m happy to vacuum hair/fur, especially if the pet owner is away for more than 5 days, I’m always available to communicate if any owner wants to check in with me and of course I’m happy to face time if you’d like to check in on your pet. I usually send and end of day message with a picture of your pup and a review of our day.

“I was a last-minute request and Jennifer and her husband were able to help me out in a pinch for a work event that was gonna have me away all day from morning until past bedtime!! normally Harry is a crazy anxious mess if I am away for two hours, but he hasn’t seen me from 8:30 AM to 9:45 PM and he’s calm and relaxed and happy and I feel good cause I’m tired and I had a long day and I just had such peace of mind and didn’t worry !! I knew Harry was in such good hands Jennifer and her husband kept in touch with me with photos and reassured me and they really just Harry took to them so easily! Like he is so relaxed I never see this from him. If I’m even away for a few hours this is hysterical!!! thank you so much.
