Kate sent us regular pictures and updates, was very flexible about our schedule for pickup and drop-off, prompt and easy to communicate with, and we didn’t worry about Astrid at all. About: I was raised in a positive pet friendly family environment and had my own dogs and cats for more than twenty years. Chaqutia put my mind at ease instantly and sent updates multiple times throughout the day of both photos and videos as well as a report of how he did with his food and confirming he took his meds. She’s a very kind and caring person and also very responsible with things like a camera set up in the room dogs sleep in to check on throughout the night. About: I grew up with two dogs who were my best friends. I have been steadily watching my sister’s beautiful dog Albert and her new puppy Janice for 3 years. Those days are the best days - i walk them, feed them their meals and required medicine, and always make sure they have loads of attention and pets! I work remotely and my schedule is very flexible, so I can cater to your individualized needs! I travel sometimes on weekends, but with enough notice, I will lock your dog sitting needs into my schedule and always show up in a timely fashion! I always keep an eye on the pets I am watching when out in the yard, even if the space is enclosed - I watch for other animals, etc to always ensure your pet’s safety. I have gone on many a walk with medium to large dogs and always make sure their leash is within 6-8 feet and they are secure within their harness.

About: I Work nights! I am off Thursday and Friday nights. I've rasied my 80lb. Female dog from when she was 4 weeks old to about 6 years. I'm very active and love to take my dog out for runs. Very disciplined and have taught my big girl to behave politely in NYC. I've taken care of huskies and smaller dogs like chihuahuas and poodles for neighbors as well! I work overnights and just moved to an Tamnersville. I would love to walk or just spend time with a dog. My dog is home on staten island with family and I miss spending time with dogs so much! About: I didn’t get to experience the joy of growing up with dogs or cats but as soon as I was able I began taking in fosters from the NYC shelter system. It was quite a learning experience spending time with many dogs (and a few cats) of all different types and personalities. I no longer foster but I bring the experience and dedication from working with so many shelter pets to caring for your furry family members. And as a pet parent now myself I have been through many sitters so I understand what makes a good one! A note on boarding and meet and greets: I’m happy to have boarding candidates come by to meet me and check out the space but I do not do meet and greets with my own dogs. My dogs are dog friendly but they are too chaotic and excitable to meet new dogs and owners right away. New dogs are kept separate at first and introduced at their own pace when everyone is calm. This minimizes stress for everyone and allows for better interactions. I currently work out of the house Monday/Wednesday/Friday but my schedule is somewhat flexible. The rest of the week I work at home and I am often available all weekend. Dogs in my home have access to a securely fenced large yard for running and fetch, as well as a quiet neighborhood for walks. If the weather is warm dogs have access to a dog door so they may go outside as they please. If your dog likes to play with other dogs mine will certainly be happy to accommodate but they can also have separate spaces if quiet time is needed. In your home I will make every effort to keep your pets schedule as familiar as possible while offering lots of love and stimulation. As someone who has had many sitters come through and stay at my house I understand the importance of trust and cleanliness so you can be away without worry.

About: My own dogs are always the #1 teacher. They show me how to best care for them - with food, play, training, medications, travel, sleepless days and nights when they've been ill, and giving them all them comfort I can. I've volunteered at dog shelters, spent hours walking dogs in all kinds of weather, and offered comfort to friends who've had to say goodbye to their best fur friends. People rely on me to take care of their dogs like feed them and bathe them and play with them and walk them and make sure they’re well loved It will only be me working with the dogs, I don’t need any other assistance with other people. The best days are Monday through Saturday, Monday - Wednesday would be in the morning and Thursday - Saturday would be in the afternoon/evening. I'm also trained to handle various exotic pets. I also have over 2 years of experience as a dog walker. About: I was raised in a positive pet friendly family environment and had my own dogs and cats for more than twenty years. I can handle large, medium, and small dogs and will look to give them long walks and lots of exercise as a good dog is a tired dog. “Chaqutia looked after my pup, Ralph, for just over a week. I was nervous about leaving him for such a long period of time especially as he was unwell. Chaqutia put my mind at ease instantly and sent updates multiple times throughout the day of both photos and videos as well as a report of how he did with his food and confirming he took his meds. Any questions I had or suggestions I made, she responded to promptly. She’s a very kind and caring person and also very responsible with things like a camera set up in the room dogs sleep in to check on throughout the night. She was flexible with both pick up and drop off times and really listened to our needs Her home is beautiful, large and on a very quiet secluded road which was reassuring as less traffic. Her family are truly lovely and her eldest child played with Ralph lots (particularly loved those videos) Would definitely use Chaqutia again and recommend her to others!”

She reduces anxieties naturally by listening carefully and observing astutely. Hygge had never been away or 'boarded' for pet sitting prior to my experience with Andrea. At all times she was communicative, caring and purposeful in her interactions with Hygge, who probably worried about being in a new home away from home for a few days on many levels. My transportation plans were delayed due to a severe storm that prevented my scheduled pick up, and Andrea was patient, reasonable and loving during my own stress about being stuck in NYC beyond my control for the pick up of my dog after traveling for a few days. She worked with me every step of the way, and the boarding experience was a total success even with transportation issues. Hygge returned home happy, healthy, well-nourished and satisfied with renewed confidence in his ability to work with another lovely family in our sweet community in a spirit of trust and sucess.
