About: I currently own an amazing certified Good Boy Austalian Cattle Dog and two snuggly cats. I have have always owned at least one pet, both cats and dogs since I was little. I have done a decent amount of pet sitting for neighbors and friends. I have even had to give oral meds to one dog I dog sat. If you have any questions, please ask! Dogs will always get at least a 15 minutes walk because my dog usually needs a longer one. I sometimes give my cats and dog breakfast and then usually give the dog a quick 15 walk in the morning before leaving for work at 7:30 am. I get back home around 3:00 pm and usually give my dog his actual long walk between 40 and 70 minutes depending on weather. I feed the animals and then have dinner and usually just relax and snuggle on the couch with at least one of the fur kids. I fit in other cleaning and what not in there but I always make it a point to walk my doggo and make sure they get snuggles since I am gone for a good portion of the day. I have room for a crate for a crate trained dog. I have a moderately sized backyard that is well fenced in. My dog is a counter surfer so we have baby gates for both the kitchen and the extra bedroom. The extra bedroom serves as the cat room so the cats have a dedicated space. Stuff can be adjusted if you have a cat not used to dogs, so they can have that entire room or vice versa our cats can go in there for a dog that is not cat friendly. We only live five minutes from Marbletown Animal Hospital of any emergencies arise needing urgent care if your vet is not available.

“Chaqutia looked after my pup, Ralph, for just over a week. I was nervous about leaving him for such a long period of time especially as he was unwell. Chaqutia put my mind at ease instantly and sent updates multiple times throughout the day of both photos and videos as well as a report of how he did with his food and confirming he took his meds. Any questions I had or suggestions I made, she responded to promptly. She’s a very kind and caring person and also very responsible with things like a camera set up in the room dogs sleep in to check on throughout the night. She was flexible with both pick up and drop off times and really listened to our needs Her home is beautiful, large and on a very quiet secluded road which was reassuring as less traffic. I work overnights and just moved to an Tamnersville. I would love to walk or just spend time with a dog. My dog is home on staten island with family and I miss spending time with dogs so much! Hygiene and cleanliness at home are priority. A lot of canine care is knowing what each dogs' wants and needs are. Each dog will communicate to you what they want and need. About: I didn’t get to experience the joy of growing up with dogs or cats but as soon as I was able I began taking in fosters from the NYC shelter system. It was quite a learning experience spending time with many dogs (and a few cats) of all different types and personalities. I no longer foster but I bring the experience and dedication from working with so many shelter pets to caring for your furry family members. And as a pet parent now myself I have been through many sitters so I understand what makes a good one! A note on boarding and meet and greets: I’m happy to have boarding candidates come by to meet me and check out the space but I do not do meet and greets with my own dogs. My dogs are dog friendly but they are too chaotic and excitable to meet new dogs and owners right away. New dogs are kept separate at first and introduced at their own pace when everyone is calm. This minimizes stress for everyone and allows for better interactions. I currently work out of the house Monday/Wednesday/Friday but my schedule is somewhat flexible. The rest of the week I work at home and I am often available all weekend. Dogs in my home have access to a securely fenced large yard for running and fetch, as well as a quiet neighborhood for walks. If the weather is warm dogs have access to a dog door so they may go outside as they please. If your dog likes to play with other dogs mine will certainly be happy to accommodate but they can also have separate spaces if quiet time is needed. In your home I will make every effort to keep your pets schedule as familiar as possible while offering lots of love and stimulation. As someone who has had many sitters come through and stay at my house I understand the importance of trust and cleanliness so you can be away without worry.

I love making new furry friends, both for sharing my positive, attentive energy with them, and for nourishing in the innocent sweet playfulness they often offer. The mutual benefits of animal care are no joke! As an avid traveler and travel writer (we social workers need periodic breaks from our big jobs), pet sitting has been a fabulous win-win-for-all! I love immersing in local scenes, and enjoy getting to know the nature, infrastructure, and pulse of new places. Perhaps most importantly, I love hunkering down for writing (I am a published writer in addition to being a social worker) with the delightful energy of furry friends beside me. They seem to like it too! I grew up in a small city, have lived in a major city for over two decades and LOVE being in more rural and remote areas too. You can count on me to bring my strong sense of professionalism and responsibility to your pets and to your home. I’ve often been told that other than happy pets, there was no sign I had even been there! I am currently freelancing/focusing my time on writing projects so I often have a flexible schedule....and love taking work breaks with furry friends! A veteran 5-start pet-sitter, I am new to Rover and am figuring out how the calendar and geography works so it can reflect where I am and when I'm available. Most folks comment that they can barely tell I've been there. Cleanliness, respect, and loving care are my hallmarks. I make sure to honor any requests and instructions for people's homes, which often have quirks and special needs -- and to of course respect privacy too, just as I would as a social worker. As for furry friends, they get exceptional, reliable, patient, playful, caring energy from me while I make sure that all their food, litter, or other needs are met.
About: I have had pets my whole life and hold animals dear to my heart! I LOVE spending time with them and making them happy. I have cared for dogs and cats for years and am very patient with them. I have a fenced in yard. I would prefer to avoid bringing clients pets into my home because I have 2 cats. But if the dog is friendly enough and has experience with cats I would consider it. My house is fairly big. It has a basement and attic, with 2 floors they’d have room to run and play. I have a medium sized yard so there would be room for them to run and play. I also have a safe street to bring them on walks. I pet sit full time. I’m looking to gain more clients so please book me. I spend my time practicing yoga, studying holistic health, caring for my own cats, reading or creating… so I am able to shift my schedule around easily to fit your needs! My home is cozy and safe with lots of room to run around and comfy furniture to sleep on! I keep the windows open and do not use toxic products in my house.

About: I currently own an amazing certified Good Boy Austalian Cattle Dog and two snuggly cats. I have have always owned at least one pet, both cats and dogs since I was little. I have done a decent amount of pet sitting for neighbors and friends. I have even had to give oral meds to one dog I dog sat. If you have any questions, please ask! Dogs will always get at least a 15 minutes walk because my dog usually needs a longer one. I sometimes give my cats and dog breakfast and then usually give the dog a quick 15 walk in the morning before leaving for work at 7:30 am. I get back home around 3:00 pm and usually give my dog his actual long walk between 40 and 70 minutes depending on weather. I feed the animals and then have dinner and usually just relax and snuggle on the couch with at least one of the fur kids. I fit in other cleaning and what not in there but I always make it a point to walk my doggo and make sure they get snuggles since I am gone for a good portion of the day. I have room for a crate for a crate trained dog. I have a moderately sized backyard that is well fenced in. My dog is a counter surfer so we have baby gates for both the kitchen and the extra bedroom. The extra bedroom serves as the cat room so the cats have a dedicated space. Stuff can be adjusted if you have a cat not used to dogs, so they can have that entire room or vice versa our cats can go in there for a dog that is not cat friendly. We only live five minutes from Marbletown Animal Hospital of any emergencies arise needing urgent care if your vet is not available.
“Chaqutia looked after my pup, Ralph, for just over a week. I was nervous about leaving him for such a long period of time especially as he was unwell. Chaqutia put my mind at ease instantly and sent updates multiple times throughout the day of both photos and videos as well as a report of how he did with his food and confirming he took his meds. Any questions I had or suggestions I made, she responded to promptly. She’s a very kind and caring person and also very responsible with things like a camera set up in the room dogs sleep in to check on throughout the night. She was flexible with both pick up and drop off times and really listened to our needs Her home is beautiful, large and on a very quiet secluded road which was reassuring as less traffic. Her family are truly lovely and her eldest child played with Ralph lots (particularly loved those videos) Would definitely use Chaqutia again and recommend her to others!”

About: I have spent my entire life surrounded by animals of all kind and have always had the love and drive to ensure they have the best life and experiences possible. This love and compassion has led me to volunteering at the SPCA for a number of months, which turned into working there for over 4 years as both an animal care attendant and as a veterinary assistant. In my time there, I have been given the most incredible opportunity to both care for and rehouse hundreds of animals and have even acquired a couple of cats along the way. I am currently in the process of opening my own dog daycare to provide a very loving, caring environment for the dogs to spend their day while their pet parents are away.
