About: I’ve taken care of a number pets throughout my life. I grew up with small terriers and had fish too. Friends animals were always like my own. I adopted my beloved cat Calvin when I was 21 and last December, 11 years later, he passed away leaving a hole in my heart. He had many health problems such as asthma and IBS, for which he was on several daily medications. This taught me to administer oral medication in pill pockets and use an inhaler attachment for him. I miss being around animals in general now that he’s been gone. I am looking so much forward to being able to provide boarding in my lakeside home. I love the company of a cat. About: I’ve had my furry pet for 12 years before she crossed the rainbow bridge last year. I have cared about pets to a more deeper and emotional extent since I had her. I have previously worked in a store that handled puppies and had them available for purchase and adoption while also working alongside a groomer so I have a background in bathing all different-sized dogs. I also have dog-sat for family and friends over the past few years and loved doing it! My family and I have also participated with the Guide Dog Foundation and have fostered puppies and young adult dogs. While I don't have an official background in dog training, I have taught my dog all the commands he knows now, and I have helped friends with training their dogs as well such as sit, stay, lay down, etc. I have a deep connection with dogs as well as most animals and truly love them all! I am currently working a part-time job while going to school full time but my schedule allows me to be available on the weekends as well as various times throughout the day on weekdays. I have a big yard with two sides for the dogs to get out their zoomies, both sides of the yard are fenced. I have two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company. If your pet needs to be crated that is easily feasible in my house.

I was extremely nervous leaving my German shepherd for a week (the most she'd been away from me was 2 days) knowing that she'd have separation anxiety. “Rachel and Henrik (and their two wonderful kids!) watched our two Goldendoodles for the weekend, and we couldn’t have had a better experience. From the start, it was clear this was a perfect fit—we did a meet-and-greet beforehand, and instantly felt comfortable. Their home is beautiful, clean, and has a great backyard where our dogs had plenty of space to run and play. More importantly, our dogs were treated like part of the family—they got tons of attention, snuggles, and care all weekend. We also really appreciated the frequent updates and photos, which gave us total peace of mind. When we dropped them off, our dogs were so excited they ran right in without hesitation—that says everything. You can truly tell how much Rachel and Henrik love dogs and care for them as their own.
