Tango - who had only been sat by family members prior to this - immediately felt comfortable and welcome. He had a ball, was well cared for and even got a bath and nail trim for an extremely reasonable additional charge. Amy is close to the retreat we were on, which was part of the reason why we chose her, but I would seriously consider making the 2-hour trip to her if Tango needed sitting again, regardless of her proximity to where I was going.”

At all times she was communicative, caring and purposeful in her interactions with Hygge, who probably worried about being in a new home away from home for a few days on many levels. My transportation plans were delayed due to a severe storm that prevented my scheduled pick up, and Andrea was patient, reasonable and loving during my own stress about being stuck in NYC beyond my control for the pick up of my dog after traveling for a few days. She worked with me every step of the way, and the boarding experience was a total success even with transportation issues. I’ve been caring for dogs since I was about 10 years old, when I started helping my neighbors with their pets while they were away. Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes and temperaments — from playful puppies who need consistency and training, to older dogs who require gentler care and medication on schedule. In the past, I’ve also trained many dogs, focusing on consistency, positive reinforcement, and gentle play to help them learn and have fun. Whether your pet needs structured walks, quiet companionship, or a steady hand during medication time, I’ll treat them like one of my own family members. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I’m an early riser and make time every day for walks, play, and check-ins. My work schedule is flexible, allowing me to plan visits around each pet’s needs—whether it’s morning exercise, midday drop-ins, or evening companionship. Caring for animals is a relaxing and rewarding part of my week. I treat every home and pet with the same respect and care I give my own. I follow your instructions carefully, maintain a clean environment, and keep pets safe with close supervision indoors and secure leashes outdoors. I focus on helping pets feel comfortable and calm, especially when their families are away, so they always feel cared for and at ease.
About: I grew up with lots of animals in my house my whole entire life. Everything from birds, reptiles, fish to basic ones such as cats and dogs. In summer I was on farm with horses, cows, pigs, chickens and much more. I have been watching dogs for as long as I remember. Both in my house as well as other homes. I do rescues for a company that specializes in pit bulls. I love to spend time, play, teach and get to know the four legged friends. Life without cats, dogs and other furry animals would be really boring. It is an honor to be there to take care of your pet when you are in need. I'm happy to help with last minute emergencies.

Tango - who had only been sat by family members prior to this - immediately felt comfortable and welcome. He had a ball, was well cared for and even got a bath and nail trim for an extremely reasonable additional charge. Amy is close to the retreat we were on, which was part of the reason why we chose her, but I would seriously consider making the 2-hour trip to her if Tango needed sitting again, regardless of her proximity to where I was going.”

She reduces anxieties naturally by listening carefully and observing astutely. Hygge had never been away or 'boarded' for pet sitting prior to my experience with Andrea. At all times she was communicative, caring and purposeful in her interactions with Hygge, who probably worried about being in a new home away from home for a few days on many levels. My transportation plans were delayed due to a severe storm that prevented my scheduled pick up, and Andrea was patient, reasonable and loving during my own stress about being stuck in NYC beyond my control for the pick up of my dog after traveling for a few days. She worked with me every step of the way, and the boarding experience was a total success even with transportation issues.
