My wife and I both work part-time from home, which gives us highly flexible schedules to prioritize your pet's care throughout the week. Our daily routine naturally includes multiple walks along the scenic D&H Canal trail, which directly borders our property. Because our work keeps us at home, guest pets enjoy consistent supervision, frequent potty breaks, and plenty of playful companionship. Our home sits far back from the road at the end of a long driveway, offering a very quiet, safe environment. We sit on 10 acres of land, featuring 3 groomed acres for supervised play and 7 acres of private woods. While our yard is only partially fenced, we have two large, fully enclosed decks that are completely fenced in—perfect for safe sunbathing, lounging, and secure outdoor activities. We also utilize a collapsible fence that we can pull out and set up to create customized secure boundaries if necessary. For exercise, dogs are strictly supervised and kept on-leash as we head down the driveway to our private access point for the D&H Canal trail, keeping them completely away from traffic.

About: I've had multiple pets of my own, and I have experience with both dogs and cats. I have experience with walking, feeding, litterbox cleaning, letting out, and giving lots of love! I also am trained as a dog bather and I am working towards my Groomers certification! I have multiple time slots during the day that I would be able to come and care for your pets. About: I've loved them all. From guinea pigs to rabbits, hamsters and ferrets, parrots and fish, cats and dogs. I have experience with dogs of many breeds, from German shepherds to Chihuahuas, newfoundlands and jack russells. I try and understand every dog breed to understand their unique needs. No dog is the same! But they all love unconditionally, so I try and give them the same. I have some training in puppies and have experience with puppies as well as elders. I've house sat in the pets homes where I know they are comfortable and can have their routines and environments. I just want to give each pet whatever it is they need. I have had pets since I was born, my first dog being a boxer. Almost never without a dog, but certainly never without a pet. Currently I have a german shepherd/collie mix named Blue. In the clients home, I get in depth information on their pets routines, food schedules and preparations, walking and play time, and whether they are crated or not. She reduces anxieties naturally by listening carefully and observing astutely. Hygge had never been away or 'boarded' for pet sitting prior to my experience with Andrea. At all times she was communicative, caring and purposeful in her interactions with Hygge, who probably worried about being in a new home away from home for a few days on many levels. My transportation plans were delayed due to a severe storm that prevented my scheduled pick up, and Andrea was patient, reasonable and loving during my own stress about being stuck in NYC beyond my control for the pick up of my dog after traveling for a few days. She worked with me every step of the way, and the boarding experience was a total success even with transportation issues.
