“One of the big reason why I decided to go with Arya for my 3 year old Lab, Bubbles, is the way he explicitly explained about the expectations and facts, how we as customers should expect him to host. Hosting a pup may be easy but understanding the psyche, taking measures to ensure all dogs are safe needs skills and that sets Arya apart. Few weeks before hosting, I took Bubbles for a meet and greet, only with Arya. He introduced Enzo and Igor to me as well, but, only after Bubbles was in the car. It gave me a wonderful feeling how much he cared about not just his pups but mine too. The stay- Arya is a brilliant and talented host and has been updating me with many videos and pictures about the walks, food and stays. He diligently walked Bubbles everyday. As Bubbles is a black lab, he was being mindful of the heat and took him out for walks at night. I was impressed how much he cares and loves the pups he is boarding. Overall it was a great experience and I am sure Bubbles will love to spend more time with Arya. I would highly recommend Arya for your pups. I have already decided to go with Arya and use his services henceforth.”

About: I’ve owned cats my whole life. My current cat is a sassy senior tortie named Queen. I'm well versed in reading body language through ears and tail. I have lots of experience with senior cats with health conditions; managing pet prescriptions and special diets. I'm comfortable administering medications if needed. In the past, I’ve taken care of my parent's diabetic asthmatic cat by giving her insulin injections daily as well as using an inhaler on her. Animal rescue is my biggest passion! When I was growing up, my mother fostered many cats and kittens for the SPCA. That is where my love of cats began; helping mom take care of the fosters as a young child. About: I have taken care of dogs and cats all my life. In the past 8 years I have lived in CO during that time, I have been through pain and loss. Shortly after moving our dog was diagnosed with bone cancer and then our cat with Heart/Kidney disease. I have experience with caring for sick animals (dogs and cats) - giving medication, subcutaneous fluids, frequent bathroom breaks/issues, also first hand experience with separation anxiety I have currently moved back to my home in the Finger Lakes of New York! I currently work remotely, and plan on continuing this. I have open availability. For Drop off or pick up my hours are between 8am - 8pm. I am also available most weekends! I want any pet at my home feel safe secure and happy. I love to curl up with pets, watch a good show. Or go out into the yard and play games. We believe that a tired pet is a well behaved pet, so enrichment is a big deal to us. Your pup will enjoy nature walks where they can sniff their heart out, and mentally stimulating toys when the weather is too cold for walks. My husband, Jack, works from home most days so outside breaks can be as frequent as your dog needs. I work full time 4 days/week and my husband, Jack, works from home to provide potty breaks, walks, and other enrichment as frequently as your pet needs. I make sure that all of your pets’ needs are met from the first moment they come into home, just like I would with my own dog, Brisco. Text/email updates are given throughout the stay, at least once per day. Our spacious backyard and separate zones of the house are large enough for everyone to have quiet time if they like. Pups will be monitored outside at all times. We will be sure to monitor the environment of exotic pets & aquatic species carefully.

About: I’ve volunteered at shelters to walk dogs since I was 10, and I got my first dog at age 16. About: My whole life I have been into only 1 thing! And that is animals. By the age of 13 I was volunteering at a local horse rescue everyday after school and by the age of 18 I was volunteering at my local SPCA feeding and walking dogs. I went to college at SUNY Cobleskill for 4yrs and graduated with honors and received my bachelors degree in Animal Science. I studied many different training techniques with both horses and small animals, I even learned how to clicker train a chicken! ;) I’ve taken classes in care, management, training, behavior issues and many more. After graduation I became a riding instructor and horse trainer at a near by stable. I now run my own business as an equine dentist which leaves me with tons of extra time as I usually only schedule trips 1-2x a week! I currently have 4 horses, 2 cats, 1 really friendly German Shepherds, small Maltese, a ball python, and a Quaker Parrot named Echo. I have my own business! As an equine dentist I normally can only visit farms when owners are home so that means most weekend days are spent doing that while during the weekdays I’m totally free! Yard behind the house for the dogs, it is fenced off. We own a 3 bedroom so plenty of room for more animals! I am right in town so I can take dogs for walks or to the park. I share my house with my bf and his 10yr old sister who is my foster daughter. Also a huge animal person!

“One of the big reason why I decided to go with Arya for my 3 year old Lab, Bubbles, is the way he explicitly explained about the expectations and facts, how we as customers should expect him to host. Hosting a pup may be easy but understanding the psyche, taking measures to ensure all dogs are safe needs skills and that sets Arya apart. Few weeks before hosting, I took Bubbles for a meet and greet, only with Arya. He introduced Enzo and Igor to me as well, but, only after Bubbles was in the car. It gave me a wonderful feeling how much he cared about not just his pups but mine too. The stay- Arya is a brilliant and talented host and has been updating me with many videos and pictures about the walks, food and stays. He diligently walked Bubbles everyday. As Bubbles is a black lab, he was being mindful of the heat and took him out for walks at night. I was impressed how much he cares and loves the pups he is boarding. Overall it was a great experience and I am sure Bubbles will love to spend more time with Arya. I would highly recommend Arya for your pups. I have already decided to go with Arya and use his services henceforth.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs for 10 yrs and have owned a cattle dog mix for 6! I’ve fostered and pet sat dogs, cats, and kittens throughout that time. I have experience giving medication, basic training, and am detail oriented when it comes to any special instructions. My priority is following your lead when it comes to what's best for your pet's safety, nurturance, and play! Right now, my care schedule is flexible! I'm available for boarding in my home or pet sitting in yours. I work part-time, two days a week as a direct service provider from my home and 1-2 events per week at Cornell. I'm intentionally staying open so I can spend time at home with my dog and am never away for long! I love taking long walks around my quiet, rural neighborhood or spending time exploring the area. I live in a quiet, rural cottage with a screened in porch, backyard and tie out. My cattle dog mix is super playful and loves other dogs! About: I am just starting to my fourth career, playing with your companion. I recently retired from teaching sustainable development at UAlbany. I now spend my days outside with hairy friend Herman. I picked up my first stray, Bandit, at 9. I have had a at least one dog since then, I am now 63. All from shelters or strays. I also did doggie foster care too. Known to be gentle and friend of the furry ones. I start each day with a morning meander across the 25 acres on a dead end road. Your companion will be well exercised, loved and cared for as long as they get along with my 14 year old hairy friend Herman, who lets cats eat from his dishes. He runs the place when it comes to house rules. He does not have viscous bone in his body. After three careers and global travel I am recently retired. My days are spent gardening, walking, sitting on the porch, listening to music, etc. I am rarely gone more than a few hours as Herman, my four legged friend, needs special care at 14 years old. I am typically up before dawn, no dog or alarm necessary. My day typically begins with me waking predawn and greeting the new day with my hound Herman on the 25 acres we cohabitate. Most is abandoned agriculture returning to forest for 35 plus years that is bisected by a small babbling brook. Breakfast is then served before returning outside. In climate weather I am outside more than 70% of my day outside. At 14 he chooses to stay in sometimes. Your companion will be free to make their own choice too. My life ambition is to nurture life. I have cared for pets since I was born as my family had cats. There is a fenced area that includes four shaded area. There will be plenty of water, including a baby pool for play as well as sprinklers. This area is shares two fences lines with my garden, has direct access to a walk out basement, and is fully visible from my porch. The dogs will have near 24/7 personal attention and care. I live sustainably. There are no chemicals in my lawn or garden. I have an enclosed porch that in the summer is open air, but no steps to escape. Only with your permission would I walk a guest off leash. Before walking them off leash I will need feel 100% confident they respond to command when other distractions are present. Again with your permission I would take your friend to a fenced in dog park visit as a trial run. Herman, my housemate, is a happy healthy 14 year old he is my best reference. He also has final word on all guest of all species. About an 1/2 acre is fenced with direct access from the house through the basement door. It includes shaded doggie lounges, a baby pool in the summer, toys galore, and lots of attention as the space is adjacent to my garden and the covered porch. It has the capacity to be divided if unruly dog needs to be isolated or there are little ones that just need time away from the bigger ones. Indoors, dogs are free to roam in the basement and first floor. If they are cage trained I can accommodate that. The two beds are off limits. To prevent misunderstanding with bed loving dogs I will keep my guest room. Both the porch and the living room couches are fine. Little ones may use chairs too. The house is really set up for Herman’s comfort and safety. The 32x10 covered front porch is a favorite of Herman and all his visiting friends. Your hairy friend will be delighted by this feature too. One more thing, the hardwood floors are currently covered in rubber “yoga mats” as Herman can not cope with slippery floors. There are also many large dog beds that Herman is happy to share. Opps, where are our manners; welcome to our slice of Paradise!😊
