“Ron is a treasure. I was very hesitant to leave my 2 year old pup with someone, but felt confident with Ron after our first interview. His home is neat, clean, and pet friendly with a beautiful, safe backyard. Our first booking was for 3 days to orient my Charlie-girl to Ron, preceding the 2 upcoming long stays I have booked. Total success! Ron sent pictures and comments each day and it was clear that Charlie was getting superior care. Ron is loving and cares for his boarders, and his dog Lexi is very patient with having another dog in the house getting attention.”

About: Hello! My name is Sarah and my husband and I live in Reno, Nevada. We're entrepreneurs with a flexible schedule and love taking care of dogs. I had a black lab for 15 years and have watched many dogs over the years, including internationally with Trusted Housesitters, where I am background-checked and reviewed. I'm comfortable walking dogs of all sizes. We work from home and are flexible most days! Our weeks tend to vary, but we are great at communicating with the pet parent to find times that work for everyone. We have a three-story townhome next to the Wildcreek Golf Course and Melody Lane Park. We have two patios at our house for outside time, and take regular walks. Lots of space for roaming.
“Sarah was so friendly, accommodating and communicative! Even before we spent a full day with Sarah, our pup sprinted to her. Talk about a green flag! We really appreciated Sarah rescheduling our meet and greet a few times as well since the holidays are such a busy time.”

“Elaine was very sweet and understanding with my pup. I highly recommend her. My pup is going through separation anxiety and she was great with her. I will be contacting her again!☺️”

“Cilantro was AMAZING with our baby girl Koda!! She was sooo sweet, sent lots of pictures, and best of all took great care of our baby girl while we checked out Reno. 10/10 Recommend her for watching your fur babies ☺️”

About: I’ve had a dog at home for almost 13 years, and I’ve been caring for dogs belonging to other families since I was 15 years old. I’m currently available and can take care of your dog anytime. About: I’ve been caring for animals from house sitting to dog walking since my teenage years, and it’s been one of the most rewarding parts of my life. Neighbors, family friends, and family have trusted me to provide exceptional care for their furry companions. My deep love for animals led me to volunteer at the UCD Vet Center during high school, where I assisted veterinarians in hands on care. Later, I dedicated time to shelters like the Davis SPCA and the Pacific Palisades SPCA in Los Angeles, working with rescue animals and learning how to nurture even the most vulnerable pets. Over the years, I’ve rescued and rehabilitated numerous animals, many of whom became cherished members of my family. It’s been an incredible journey watching them thrive, whether it’s a senior dog finding comfort or a shy kitten finally coming out of their shell. My approach is rooted in holistic care, recognizing that diet, environment, and emotional well-being are just as important as physical health. I’ve seen firsthand how natural remedies, proper nutrition, and mindful interaction can transform an animal’s quality of life. Whether your pet needs a lively walk, a playful home visit, or overnight care while you’re traveling, I’d love to be their trusted companion. I believe in tailoring care to each animal’s unique personality, whether that means helping calm anxious pups or adjusting activities for a senior dog with mobility challenges. Feel free to ask me anything—I’m happy to share references or discuss how I can best support your pet’s needs. Looking forward to meeting your four-legged family member and giving them the same love and attention I’ve given animals my whole life! I am currently really flexible with days and hours available. I am working from home right now which allows me this flexibility. Open m- f as well as weekends I have a fenced yard and one dog at home that loves and gets along with all animals and is super friendly. I have plenty of space and separate rooms in the house along with a gate I can put up if your fury love wants a little space of their own for play time!

“I’m using crutches at the moment and needed someone to walk my dog. This was my first time using Rover; it’s been a great experience. Cat replied to my request quickly and on short notice, which I appreciated. My rescue dog, a terrier mix, is not around other people very often, but he took to Cat immediately and returned happy each of the three days that she walked him. It’s all gone so well that I have another week of walks scheduled with Cat.”

“Cyndi (and really her entire family) have been awesome with my two little pups. I got them as rescues so they definitely have separation anxiety when I leave the house for long periods. But I can always easily tell when Cyndi has been by, as they are noticeably calmer and happier when I come home. Highly recommended!”

About: I work from home, so dogs in my care are never left alone and always have company, attention, and love throughout the day. They get multiple walks, dog park time, a calm cozy environment, toys, music, and their own comfortable space to relax. They’re also welcome on the furniture and can sleep in bed if that’s what they’re used to. I truly see dogs as family members, not pets. I treat them the way I would treat my own child — with patience, affection, protection, and lots of care. I love having them near me while I work, and I make sure they feel safe, included, and deeply loved every moment they’re here. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I work from home, so I’m around and available throughout the day. That means your pet gets more attention, regular potty breaks, and consistent companionship—not just a quick visit. On a typical day, I can plan morning, midday, and evening walks/potty breaks, plus playtime and feeding around my work schedule. I keep things structured but flexible, so I can match your pet’s routine (especially helpful for puppies, seniors, or pets that need extra check-ins). Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, my priority is always the same: safety, routine, and a calm environment. I’m detail-oriented, I follow your instructions closely, and I keep you updated so you feel confident the whole time. In your home (drop-ins / house sitting): I stick to your pet’s normal schedule for feeding, potty breaks, walks, and playtime. I do safety checks (doors/gates secured, leashes/harnesses fitted correctly, no access to unsafe items). I keep the space tidy and stress low—especially for pets who do best in their familiar environment. I send photo/video updates and notes after visits. In my home (boarding / daycare): Calm, supervised environment with plenty of attention since I work from home. Frequent potty breaks, exercise, and structured downtime. I keep pets separated when needed (feeding time, high energy, or if a dog prefers their own space). Only pet-safe areas are accessible—no unsafe foods, small objects, or risky spaces. My safety rules, always: I don’t take dogs off-leash unless it’s a securely fenced area and you’ve approved it. I use positive reinforcement (no harsh methods). I watch for signs of stress or illness and communicate quickly if anything seems off. My goal is for your pet to feel comfortable and for you to feel totally at ease.
“It’s been a pleasure having Ryan take my dogs out daily. He is punctual, conscientious and communicative. My dogs took to him right away. If you’re looking for a dependable guy who’s good with dogs, Ryan is the man!”

“Aaron is here every day walking my Lab while I can't. He's been extremely dependable and with my current limitations that means a lot. And Lucian can't wait to go walkies.”

About: Hello, I'm Devin! I have extensive experience caring for a variety of pets, having lived with 5 dogs and 3 cats as well as other animals throughout my life. This has given me a strong understanding of their different needs, behaviors, and personalities. I've also lived with a puppy and understand how hard at times it can be to deal with them, but I also understand how fun and worth it, it is. I've also volunteered at SPCA for a summer camp where I learned how to take care of dogs and cats and be around more animals! Although pets are very important to me I must prioritize my classes, which end at the latest 2:30 pm, but after I can push aside anything else to make any cat or dog happy. I love to make a dog or cat feel happy and comfortable. I will happily play with any pet and go for walks until that dog or cat is tired, or I can just chill on the couch and relax because I know every animal, just like a human, needs some chill time too.

I have worked with kittens as young as 12 weeks to senior cats as old as 15. If you have an special requests I am more than happy to accommodate whatever it is that your furry friend may need. I am available 24/7 to help out your pet(s) in the Verdi / NW Reno area. My schedule can be fairly flexible if it does need to be to accommodate your furry friend! I am happy to get up early or stop by later in the day - anything that works with your schedule! I would be sure to take your pup for a walk or run around your neighborhood, the dog park if that’s their thing, whatever you are comfortable with I am happy to do. For cats I would love to do drop in visits or even take them for a walk if they are comfortable on leash. I will send lots of photos / videos to update you on our day!
“I highly recommend Diane for dog walking! She was fantastic with Ziggy, and he had an amazing time on both walks. It was wonderful to see how much he enjoyed exploring the neighborhood with her, even though they had just met. We did have a minor hiccup when Ziggy got a little too excited and ran off while she was putting on his leash, but Diane handled it incredibly well. She quickly found him and calmed him down before putting on the leash. After their adventures, Ziggy was all tuckered out! Her patience and skill truly impressed me, and I would definitely book her again!”

About: I've loved dogs for my entire life and was fortunate enough to get one of my one when I was 13. I love taking care of my dog and spending time with her. I enjoy spending time with other peoples dogs just as much. I am currently in college at UNR and would love to make some extra money doing somethingi enjoy. I am currently working three days a week (mon - wed) and am fully available all other days of the week. I don't currently live with a puppy of my own so I would love to spend more of my time around dogs. I spent over five years being one of the main care takers of my first dog. As a yellow lab she is very energetic and loves walks and playing fetch but also likes to sleep and lounge around. So I have experience with different personalities and energy levels.

About: I'm an active person who can keep up with your active pup! My experience caring for pets began at a young age when I volunteered for a local dog rescue and fostered dogs with my family. Today, I proudly provide services including dog walking, housesitting, exercise, enrichment, & basic daily care for dogs and cats. I would be thrilled to provide care for your dog or cat too! I work from home online on a flexible basis, so I can typically be available most times of day. I am available for walks and drop-in visits with your pet while you are at work. For housesitting, I'm available to stay at your house to work (Wi-Fi permitting!) so that I can provide mid-day potty breaks and attention for your pet. Please just let me know if your dog shouldn't have treats or requires a certain type of treats. I'm always willing to adjust activities based on your dog's abilities and weather. For example, if the weather turns too hot or cold for your pup, I can swap out a lengthy walk for a shorter one plus enrichment games in the shade or some indoor playtime. **NEW! From golden retrievers to dobermans, pit bulls, chihuahuas, and German shepherds, I have experience with all kinds of temperaments and dogs and am able to handle and care for all of them in the ways they need. I volunteer at the Nevada Humane Society and have completed a Fear Free Certification. I have trained all of the dogs I have taken care of and am very dedicated to making sure that they are well taken care of. When they are your best friend, they deserve the best. I will make sure that your dog gets plenty of love and care, and will be played with, and walked around to give them the socialization and exercise they need and want. I currently work full time, but have weekends off, and can sometimes do evenings, and love to spend my free time with pets. I fit pet care into my weekly routine by caring for a german shepherd weekly. I provide care for the pets by taking them on walks, and following any other normal care that the pet would typically require. I have 2 five year old german shepherds, as well as a 13 year old cat, so I am well equipped in dealing with multiple pets as well.

“Aaron and Nicole were great. Our pup was comfortable with them right away. They have a warm, dog-safe environment and the whole family seems to really care for the dogs. Will definitely book with them again.”

“Amazing people! I left my puppers with them for 2 days and they sent pics and updates constantly which was great especially because my dog is so skiddish with new people at first! Thankful to have had them board Athena 😊”

“Trusted them completely with my fur babies. They had some anxiety with being without the family but Shannon and David handled it beautifully and were so gracious. Would definitely use them again!”

“Danielle was awesome with our pups! They were clearly excited and rightfully spoiled during the holidays. Felt comfortable and at ease having the dogs with her especially with the regular updates. She followed all instructions well and without issue especially for older dog. Highly recommend and will use her services again!”

“Crystal is amazing! She sent me several pictures and videos of our dog. He stayed several nights and looked relaxed. He went out on adventures which I loved seeing! Thankful!!!”

“Boomer had a great time with Christina and her family. She sent pics of him while he was in her care which made us feel even more comfortable leaving him. We would definitely leave him with Christina again.”

“Kathryn was very relaxed and experienced for taking care of my dog ZuZu. She has a good home environment for ZuZu and no issues during the time I was out. I got three pictures everyday from Kathryn. ZuZu was happy with her. I would use her service again in the future!”

“Ivy took great care of our boy! She sent us pictures and messages about how he was doing. He appeared happy and healthy upon pick up. Ivy has a big back yard that worked well with our energetic and active Labrador. I would highly recommend Ivy as a trusted pet sitter!”

“Kat and Corey were wonderful! They took excellent care of our special-needs bulldog and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. It was clear she was well cared for and loved. We would absolutely trust them with her again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for caring, dependable sitters!”

About: Dogs stay in my home as part of the family, with a fully fenced half-acre yard, two friendly Cavaliers and plenty of room to play. I've had dogs most of my life and have also cared for dogs for friends and families I've connected with through Facebook (see testimonials). Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I work about 10 minutes from home and can come home for a lunchtime visit when needed. I typically feed dogs in the morning and again after work, and I can accommodate midday meals, medications or other care needs. Evenings and weekends allow plenty of time for walks, play and attention. Dogs stay with me as part of the family alongside my two friendly, neutered Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. They’re welcome on the couch or bed and get plenty of attention and affection. My fully fenced half-acre yard has a large lawn, orchard, garden and sagebrush-covered hillside with lots of room to run, sniff and explore. I also have chickens that are separated from visiting dogs by their enclosed coop or a separate fenced area. I live in a quiet neighborhood directly on the Steamboat Ditch Trail, giving us easy access to walks without having to drive anywhere.
“Very communicative and took great care of our pup! It was my first time leaving our dog with someone else and she did an OUTSTANDING job, our dog settled in quick and had a great time. Thank you!”

“This is our third time having Brittany watch our dogs. She was able to accommodate us at the last minute, and we never have to worry when we leave the dogs with her. She was amazing with them, as always!”

“Scooter, my 3 year old boy dog had the best experience with Andrea, Henry and their whole family. Andrea was a great communicator before and during the stay. Henry took Scooter on so many walks and gave him endless snuggles. Thank you both, Scooter misses you and the chipmunks!”

“My 6-month-old golden retriever puppy spent 5 days during Thanksgiving at Shanna's, she sent photos and updates daily and my pup had a great time with Shanna's dogs, and Shanna was kind enough to give my pup a Thanksgiving present. It is pretty hard to find a kind and thoughtful sitter, Shanna is definitely one of them. Strongly Recommended.”

“I honestly couldn't put into words how thankful I am to have found Lisa on Rover! Tato had the best time and she constantly gave me updates and quickly became best friends with everyone! I'll definetly be rebooking ❤️”

“Monica was absolutely amazing watching Kirby! I could tell right away that he was in great hands — she sent tons of pics and check-ins throughout the stay, and Kirby looked so comfortable and happy in every single one. As someone who’s a little obsessed with my dog, that peace of mind means everything to me. Her house is clean, and the neighborhood felt safe and welcoming. She and her partner are just an amazing couple, and I’d trust them with Kirby again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend! I can’t wait to snuggle my doooood!”
