About: I’ve been caring for pets for 21 years including 13 years with a dogs. Over that time I’ve gained hands-on experience with every stage of a dog’s life. I’ve trained puppies through the basics of house training, leash manners, and good habits and currently care for a senior dog, so I’m comfortable with the slower pace, extra patience, and special attention older dogs need. I’m experienced in administering medication whether pills, liquid or other routine, and I follow instructions carefully and keep owners updated. I’ve also cared for a pet rabbit for 12 years, so I’m comfortable with small animals and their specific needs, from diet and housing to gentle handling. I'm a stay-at-home parent, so I'm home all day and your dog will have company and attention rather than hours alone. My days are built around flexible, relaxed routines: morning and afternoon walks, playtime in my fenced yard, meals and medications on schedule, and plenty of downtime. Your dog is welcome to curl up with me for a nap, too. I'm available for boarding and doggy day care drop-offs after 9 am, pick up no later than 9 pm. and I'm happy to follow your dog's usual routine as closely as possible so the stay feels familiar and comfortable. One of my dogs in particular is pretty emotionally sensitive, but seems to have a good time at Patricia's and always appears relaxed and happy in the pictures and videos Patricia sends. Patricia has also been able and willing to administer medicine and feed according to specific instructions. She was very flexible with us picking up the dogs later than anticipated after flight delays. Very happy we've found such a great sitter for our beloved dogs. She makes this part of traveling so much easier on me!”

About: I have lived with at least 2 dogs in my household for the past 20 years. Providing them with the opportunities to live fulfilling and healthy lives has been my priority. Although I am their caregiver, I consider them also to be my teachers. Learning how to communicate with them is the best way to ensure they are happy and calm, and that they feel safe. I am currently retired and spend quite a bit of time at the dog park. My dog and I are mostly inseparable. I take him with me to run errands when I can. It isn't always practical and so he minds the house when I am away. Barney is my only companion, and, even though I'm kind of a loner, Barney is NOT. He is extremely friendly and social and craves the company of other dog;, that factors into my decision to care for other dogs in my home. Barney will help me keep your dog comfortable and happy while in our care. We have a fenced back yard (4 foot). The surrounding properties have no dogs at this time. If your dog can jump a 4 foot fence, this may not be the safest home for him or her.
About: I was raised with animals of all kinds in the house and helped care and love them all. I have complete focus on animals in my care and consider them part of the family. I currently have 1 senior dog and looking forward to meeting your animals. The beauty of taking early retirement is having flexibility on my schedule. Most week days are open to help take care of your animals. Weekends too are flexible and I can most times shift to accommodate changes to scheduled appointments. I have a save and secure fenced in yard with many options to shelter from the elements. Access through a dog door allows for nature calls during the night should they arise. Growing up, my family had 13 dogs, so caring for them and being surrounded by animals was a significant part of my childhood. As I grew older, so did they, and unfortunately, most have since passed away. After moving to New Mexico three years ago, I quickly realized how much I missed having my furry companions around. And now that I am an adult I have a high energy, silly kitty named Pearl! Growing up I was responsible for walking Ruby every day after school and on the weekends. I was also Velma's preferred human, she would join me while I did my homework and even when I left to college my mom would send me pictures of her on my pillow. (Daphne was a wall flower and stuck to herself for the most part haha) Pearl is my kitty with full energy! I play at least five times a day, 30 minutes each with her and I have been doing clicker training. She successfully has no issues with nail trimming, going to the vet, and is learning new commands. I enjoy hiking in the Sandia Foothills so I would love to take you doggie out there or in your local neighbor hood! I will match your furry friend's energy, so if they prefer to sit on the couch for cuddles, I am more than happy to do so! I am currently working part time working on my children's graphic novel pitch so I have plenty of availability to spend time with your fur baby! I have availability from 9am-10pm. On hotter days I prefer to walk your pups before noon or after 5pm evening so they don't overheat. I would love to meet your pet first before we work together (no charge). That way you can let me know of any health or behavioral concerns and your furry friend isn't scared when a stranger shows up! I let your pet dictate our interactions. (Holding out my hand for them to sniff, giving space if your kitty has, "airplane ears" or if your dog has a, "whale eye,"). I am also experienced in redirection, if your dog is barking I'll get the tennis ball going.

About: I have raised dogs, cats and a variety of other animals my whole life. From fostering, to baby sitting to raising pets of my own, I have always loved animals and caring for them. I have a large fenced yard that my dogs play in every day. I feed them every morning and afternoon, visit them daily and have them sleep inside every night. My family is very loving towards our animals, and I have never had issues with my pets showing signs of stress or unhappiness. I treat them with the love and kindness I treat everyone, and have raised both from adoption, two since they were a puppy (they are now 3) and one since he was about 1 year old (he is now 5).
