“Kendell was amazing, she’s so sweet and kind! This was sage’s first time staying with anyone and she made the whole stay so pleasant , she sent daily pictures and updates and her dog Taz is the cutest and so dog friendly Sage honestly seemed sad to leave at pick up ! Definitely would rebook and recommend her to everyone!”

“Sadie had a great time staying with Melinda and her dog, Max. Since it was Sadie’s first visit, Melinda texted frequently to reassure me that all was going well. Actually, I think Sadie was sad to leave and missed her new friend. I recommend highly! C”

“Stef was amazing!!! She cared so much for our dogs while they were with her. I am a nervous dog mom so I’m concerned any time my “kids” aren’t with me BUT Stef made it easy. She sent lots of updates to let me know what they were up to and how they were doing. She was also very flexible with us as our schedule changed. Stef was exceedingly patient and always willing to help our family. We would be grateful for the opportunity to leave our dogs with her again! 10 out of 5 stars! 😁”

“Angel did an amazing job with our two senior dogs. One of them was having serious stomach upset when they were dropped off. Not only did Angel wash both dogs who were starting to become malodorous, but she helped stabilize Bella by monitoring her diet. They also were dropped off without their coats and Angel provided a sweater for my more fragile dog. Angel went above and beyond to make my dogs comfortable and heartily recommend her.”

“We were able to relax while away knowing that Nela was in competent, caring hands with Katie. She's fun, upbeat and she knows how to support the dogs to interact well and practice positive social skills. We will definitely book for Nela to stay with Katie again next time we travel.”

“Did a phenomenal job of caring for it cats while I moved into a new apartment post-divorce. Sent quite a few picture updates while respecting distance of the cat who likes her space. Would book again 😀”

“We have continued to use Candace as she is great with our Chihuahua. Our pup wags her tail when we walk up Candace's steps to drop her off, that's when we know she's in great hands.”
“Highly recommend Rachel! My puppy was so very happy, it was a caca for her. Every picture I received, Daisy Mae was smiling. Rachel added to my pups experiences with socializing and being around other humans ( she learned manners) I never expected to be so pleased! I will always book with Rachel!! Rachel is a fur babies Parent, dream come true!!”

“Keno enjoyed boarding at Ian’s. He loved playing with another dog who was boarding and Ian. He came home happy, calm & took a long nap! Thank you. We will do this again.”

“Clearly had activities planned with the doggo. Her dog oatmeal got along with mine at the meet and greet, and from photos seemed to be getting along during the stay as well. Communicative and friendly, would use again”

“Heidi was wonderful to work with - flexible, communicative etc. And just terrific with my quirky little Yorkie, Ari. I am always uneasy leaving Ari with someone new for the first time, and this went so smoothly. He came back totally "himself": no re-adjustment period at all. Cannot recommend highly enough. Very much hope that Heidi is available the next time I travel!”

“Dawn was fantastic. Took care of our little dog with some medical issues no problem. He was anxious at first, but by night two he was settled and happy. No anxiety and was super happy when we picked him up. Will definitely use her in the future.”

“Javier took care of our two cats for 35 days. We were away and out of the US. We found the cats happy when we returned, and the apartment clean and in good shape. He sent us photos of the cats every day, which helped up feel less worried! Would definitely hire Javier again if we need help!”

“Jenna was a fantastic sitter for our 2 boys. We came home to a nice, tidy house and very happy kitties. She even reached out during our stay to let us know we running low on cat litter which was very much appreciated (thank goodness to Instantcart). We will definitely be booking with Jenna again!”

About: I offer thoughtful, detail oriented pet care with a strong focus on consistency, safety, and communication. I’m comfortable caring for senior pets, managing routines, and providing a calm presence for animals that may be anxious or sensitive to change. I am also comfortable with medication management. I take the responsibility of being in someone’s home seriously and aim to create a seamless experience both for pets and their owners. You can expect clear communication, reliability, and a high level of respect for your space. My dog, Tessie, is so important to me so I treat your pets with as much love and care that I would want her to have. My work experience includes firefighter/paramedic, ER nurse, clinic work, and am certified in Pet First Aid. I am the Clinical Director at a local free clinic. This allows me to have flexible but predictable hours each week. Because of this I can provide consistent, punctual visits with compassionate care for your pets. For house sitting I can make mid day visits so that your pets are not alone for longer than needed. I cater each experience to the needs of you and your pet. I prefer to have clear communication of your preferences so that I can ensure that you are as happy with the visit as your pets are. For house sitting, I stay in the home so pets can remain in their familiar space with minimal disruption. I follow their usual feeding, walking, and medication schedules, provide companionship throughout the day and evening, and ensure the home is cared for as well (lights, plants, mail, basic tidiness). My goal is to maintain a calm, consistent presence so pets feel safe and relaxed while their owners are away. For in home drop-ins, I provide feeding, fresh water, litter box or yard clean up, medications if needed, and quality time with each pet. I tailor each visit to the pet’s energy level and personality including playtime, short walks, or quiet companionship. I also provide updates after each visit so owners feel connected and reassured. For dog walking, I focus on safe, structured walks that match your dog’s pace and needs. I prioritize leash safety, positive reinforcement, and a calm walking experience. Walks can include neighborhood routes or familiar areas your dog enjoys, or local dog parks, and I always ensure they return home settled, hydrated, and comfortable.

“April is the absolute best! She really loves our cats like they are her own. They love her. Whenever she comes in, they come to greet her and play. She helped us with some drop-in visits twice a day for a long weekend, and she administered pills for our older cat. I can’t say enough good things, she really is the cat whisperer!!!”

“I requested some drop ins while I was out on vacation to make sure my cats were doing alright. My cats were properly cared for even though they were hiding most of the time, and they were perfectly content when I got home. Communication was excellent too.”

“Jessica was great with our two cats, and with us! She came over to meet them and get oriented to the house before we left, then sent us messages every time she stopped by to check on and feed the cats. I will definitely be calling her again!”

“We have had a number of cat sitters over the years, but Reiley really stands out. Excellent in every regard. It is a relief to be away from our kitties and know that they are in good (& caring) hands. We will definitely be using his services in the future! Five stars out of five. In fact, here is an extra star (*) for his overall rating.”

“Melinda is amazing! She sent me great photos and videos of both my cats every day, along with updates and information. She bonded with and gave both my cats plenty of attention and affection. One of my cats has some unusual behavior and habits, and Melinda easily accommodated that. Additionally, she is very quick to respond with prompt information. 10/10!”

“Cheyenne was great! My dog Theo was super happy and excited when we got home from our vaca! Got pictures throughout the weekend that allowed me to enjoy my time away. I will definitely recommend her to anyone!”

About: Hello! I have been a dog owner and have kept aquariums both as a hobby and professionally for 10+ years. I have over 425 volunteer hours logged combined as an aquarist with the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and with the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter. As a personal assistant, baby sitter and dog sitter, I am professional, detail-oriented, friendly and motivated to engage with your pets and give the highest quality care I can. As of this summer, I have graduated with a Bachelors in Biology from UC Santa Cruz, where I worked within two different labs focused on invertebrate and fish research and husbandry tasks, as well as a front desk admin and floor manager at the Seymour Marine Discovery Center. I currently work as a contract field scientist with the Bureau of Land Management, based in Santa Fe. I have a clean driving record and my own vehicle, and am flexible for overnights and check-ins, though do reach out to me to confirm my availability. I am currently employed full-time with a nontraditional schedule, and will communicate with you on times I may need to be out of the house for work. I will go over with you a detailed questionnaire to determine all aspects of your pet's care and schedule, and send update messages at least once a day.
About: ***Please be sure to fill out your pet's entire profile and please do not ask me to contact you on an external phone number until you have been established as a client ; All initial communication must be through the Rover app or website*** Hi I'm Lana! I am trained in animal care and I have been pet sitting (mostly dogs) for more than 10 years. I think dogs are really special beings and beautiful companions. I enjoy being able to give pet parents peace of mind that their loved ones are being looked after with the utmost care and compassion. I have cared for dogs of various sizes, temperaments and ages. My naturally calm and patient disposition works well with most, especially dogs that may need more time and attention, such as shy dogs or older dogs. I am available for drop-in visits, overnights and walks. For walks and drop-in visits, I still have space open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Mondays and Fridays are packed. If you have any questions about specific dates and times please feel free to send me a message here on Rover. I prefer to care for pets in their own home because it offers them a sense of security during a difficult emotional time while their humans are away. **PLEASE NOTE** I am only offering overnights to existing clients of 4-6 weeks or more, I feel it is important for me and your animal companions to get to know each other before their family goes away.

“Kendall was amazing! I was so nervous when I had a last minute work trip only a few days after one of my kitties had her spay surgery. not only did she take amazing care of her (and my other older cat), but she eased my concerns the entire time. I could really tell that she cared about my cats and their well being. She was also super communicative, and was able to last minute come and pick up/drop off my cats after I broke my elbow right before the trip (lots of crazy events one after the other!). thank you again Kendalll!”

“I am visiting Santa Fe from out of town, and Stephanie took care of my high-energy Labrador for the day. My dog came back to me clean and tired, and Stephanie sent me photos and updates throughout the day. I would definitely take Margot to her again!”

About: My husband and I have an Australian cattle dog and had a tabby cat who has crossed the rainbow road. I often care for my family members' dog when they are out of town. He requires special care, as he needs to take a few pills every day both day and night. This schedule is second nature to us. We enjoy being around our furry pals and will enjoy caring for yours too! They will be treated like our own pets and will benefit from being more socialized! I have a flexible schedule because I work from home and can easily adjust to your pets needs. I work a traditional schedule leaving my weekends especially open. I have a fenced in yard and our back door has a doggie door so your dog can go in and out as they please. We also have a large dog crate if your pet is kennel trained.
“Michelle was incredibly accommodating with a last-minute booking this weekend. She took such good care of Maple and was very flexible with our pick up time as we were doing a race in town. I would definitely recommend her and hope to use her again next time we’re in Santa Fe!”

About: I've had dogs and taken care of them since I was a young child. As an adult I’ve fostered dogs for over 5 years, taking care of all types of dogs. I have experience potty training, house breaking, bathing, and more. The dogs I have fostered came from all sorts of backgrounds; homeless, abusive households, neglected, seniors, disabled (blind, deaf, hard of hearing, missing limbs). I enjoy spending time with all animals and animals like to be around me. Currently working on my dog trainer certification I have a flexible schedule since I work from home most of the time. As a dog owner myself I spend a lot of time taking care of my dog. We go on walks 3 times a day, he gets treats, cuddles and play time all day long. On the weekends when the weather is nice we like to go for short hikes. Unfortunately I sustained a bad fall in 2024 and broke my back; so I am unable to care for any pet over 50lbs or any pet that is leash reactive or pulls on a leash. Since that would aggravate the injury and most definetely stop me from caring for pets all together; I hope you can understand! I have a small backyard where we go play fetch, we also love going to Frenchy’s or many of the other parks in the area for walks and off leash play when the weather is nice. Going for walks 2-3 times a day around the neighborhood as well
“Allegra was a perfect host for our dog, Barley! We had to make kind of last minute plans and Allegra was very accommodating for our late daycare needs. She and her husband were super nice and clearly caring dog people, plus they have a very friendly dog who Barley got along with. We would recommend them to anyone!”

About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was 10. Pets of friends, families and at doggy daycares. Extensive feeding, medications etc. Pets of all ages. I am currently unemployed. I will have plenty of free time to take special care of your animals and their special needs. Completely open and willing. I have a fenced in yard, it’s private and not close to any roads. My neighbor is a friendly and kind man with a medium sized delightful husky.
“Thank you Angel and Jon for watching over Jo Jo. I appreciate your service, and I felt an immediate ease with you both and your lovely home. You are obviously experienced, with a caring love for animals. Thank you so much!”

“Thank you so much for taking care of our little buddy today. We super appreciate you being able to take him last minute while we went on our adventure. Dominic is in great spirits, and we can tell he had a wonderful day with you. Thank you again, and we look forward to reaching out when we are back in Santa Fe.”

“Our dog had great fun playing with the dogs at the sitter 😁. Laurie took them on a hike one day and our dog had a great time and was nice and tired out for a calm evening 😊. Lily was very excited to go back for her second day! You should be forewarned that her house is down a dirt road with ups and downs. Would definitely recommend this sitter for a social and energetic dog”

“Melissa was great! We were able to book her on short notice while visiting from out of town. She sent us tons of photos which we really appreciated. Easy to communicate with. And even made yogurt treats for our pup. Will definitely use her again ??”

“Anaissa is a true dog person and was an excellent sitter for our dog. We’re on an extended road trip and our dog has been feeling a bit stressed. “Pawsitively a perfect experience! Jessica took this last minute request super early in the morning and took care of my pup as if he was her own. My pup had a blast playing with her furbabies and was in the BEST mood when I picked him up. Will 100% be using her again!”

About: Been taking care of pets since I was 8 by family, friends, and neighbors. Experience walking, feeding, bathing, and training reinforcement for high-energy or anxious pets. I am home for the summer working part time, so I will have plenty of time to care and play with any new fury friends. I can easily crate or harness your pet if needed. I’ve also worked with aggressive animals and know how to manage situations. Very reliable on following schedules and routines. I make sure they are fed, exercised, given plenty of attention, and kept safe while also keeping everything clean and proving updates to owners.
“Trigger and I were passing through town, and I needed a pet sitter for a sightseeing opportunity. Trigger has PTSD and anxiety, and can't be left alone. Emma took me on short notice, did a quick meet and greet the day before, and then took very good care of him while I was gone. A long walk for Trigger, and she let him play in the river (with my permission of course!) , and then hosted him at her house til I got back. Excellent, professional pet sitter, and I hope this review brings more customers her way, because she is definitely two thumbs up!”

“Eileen is fantastic. I absolutely trust her with my home and my family. I have one sweet butterball of a Labrador that a child could walk, but I also have a 95 lb impulsive shelter rescue that needs a strong head a fast eye and a firm hand to be safe. She's not an easy animal to walk and Eileen has complete command of her, and can walk both of these very different animals together at the same time. She's smart, sensible, prompt, professional, and has good strong boundaries with the dogs while still being kind to them. It's absolutely perfect and I'm beyond grateful that she's available to walk the dogs. ❤️🐾💪”

“Lana is great! Very communicative. Keeps me super up to date. Really goes above and beyond when trying to form a bond with a dog. My dog can be a stubborn and shy girl when it comes to new people, and Lana has really taken the time to let my dog get to know her with a great deal of patience.”

Of course, I am knowledgeable in administering medications in any form and can help access your pets medical needs while you are away. I am more that happy to care for pets that have medical needs or seniors that need this extra care. I know that choosing a caretaker for your pet can be a hard choice so I think meet and greets are a great way to make sure you’re comfortable and know your pet is in good hands! Pets have free range of the main house. There are gated off areas to give the resident kitties privacy. I am home full time. I tried to mimic your pet schedule the best I can in my own home or when I come to visit. I have a fenced in backyard. My dog is friendly with other dogs and cats. I always encourage meet and greets with dogs for safety purposes. I make sure pets do not have access to entry doors.
About: I’ve loved furbabies (dogs & cats and basically any living being) my whole life and grew up helping care for them from a young age. My pup Taz, who I adopted at 10 weeks old, has taught me so much about canine behavior and care. He is currently almost five years old and thriving. I used to work fully remote and we've lived the best van life for a few years, so he's been through and seen it all from coast to coast. I also have over seven years of hands-on experience helping my mom, a dog breeder, care for 20+ litters of puppies. Through that, I’ve built strong skills in puppy care, socialization, and basic training. I’ve even helped certify therapy dogs and participated in visits to hospitals and community spaces, so I’m comfortable handling dogs in different environments. I work a hybrid schedule, (mainly home most of the time) which allows me to give your furbabies lots of attention throughout the day. I make sure they get regular walks, playtime, and personalized care so they feel safe, comfortable, and well-loved. As a deaf person, I’m highly observant and attentive, which naturally carries into how I care for your furbabies. I build pet care into my daily routine to ensure they receive consistent attention, structure, and love. Each day typically starts with a morning walk or playtime, followed by feeding and a quick check in to make sure your furbaby is comfortable and doing well. With a super flexible schedule, I can also include enrichment, play, and outdoor outings when appropriate, while balancing that with plenty of calm rest and supervised downtime. In the evening, we usually have another walk or play session, followed by dinner and a relaxed wind down. Overall, I maintain a steady routine of walks, meals, play, rest, and close observation so your furbabies feel secure, supported, and well cared for. I provide steady supervision, regular walks, and engaging activities like playtime. With your approval, I can also take dogs out for walks and social time at a nearby park. I keep a calm, structured routine with a balance of activity and downtime, and I always follow your furbaby's usual schedule to help them feel comfortable and settled. My pup, Taz, is a social butterfly! He adores and gets along with every single pup he has ever encountered from all over the United States while on the road. If your furbaby wants company, he will be the perfect duo. If your furbaby wants to chill, he will gladly give them space to chill. I call Taz the "Rover Whisperer".
About: Upon having taken care of pets for quite some time now. I have learned that all animals need love and compassion like us. I have cared for a variety of animals from mice to snakes and cats to goats. All of the time learning what to do and not to do with every animal. I've always had animals in my life ever since I was a little girl and I loved to caring for them. I was a foster parent for cats a few years back but had to stop when we moved. I've own a few dogs and enjoy the company they have to give to us. I would be more than happy to take care of your babies and treat them as my own.

“Amanda was great. She is very friendly it is easy to see she is a dog lover. Amanda was very accommodating with my family emergency and my pups were looked after well. I will definitely look to her first next time.”

“Tami was great with our dog, Rosie! She took the time to learn her routines and in every pic she sent Rosie looked super comfortable and happy. We’ll definitely try to have Rosie stay with Tami again :)”

“Christina did a great job with our pup. She was extremely communicative and allowed my girlfriend and I to enjoy a day trip to the caverns/Guadalupe mountains with ease of mind.”

“Our dog, Ailyn, had a great time with Jessica and her animals. Ailyn was fascinated with the cats and between them and Clara she had a blast and played hard during her stay.”

““Michelle was fantastic. Her communication was excellent, she kept us updated regularly and always let us know how Lei Lei was doing. Lei Lei came home happy, loved, and clearly well cared for. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.””

“We are so glad that we found David. He was a great caretaker for our golden retriever Daisy who he kept for a whole week. He is very knowledgeable about dogs and was really nice to send lots of pictures and videos while we were gone and it eased my mind about how she was doing. I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs to board their dog.”

“Eliza is a great pet sitter. She was always sending me pictures and videos to show how Mimi was doing and I knew the moment I pick Mimi up that she had a great time. Thank you Eliza. Mimi will love to see you soon.”
