“First Impressions Boarding my dog, Lilly, with someone outside the family for the first time made me a little nervous. My granddaughter, who had used Rover before, helped me submit the application and choose a sitter. Even on the way to drop Lilly off, I still felt apprehensive, but that quickly changed when Teresa gave us such a warm welcome and Lilly and I were greeted by Teresa’s three friendly dogs. Although Lilly seemed a bit overwhelmed at first, she soon relaxed after playing in Teresa’s large backyard, and I felt comfortable leaving her there. Updates During Her Stay Teresa reassured me that Lilly would be well cared for and promised to keep me updated. She followed through by sending photos and notes about how Lilly was sleeping, eating, and taking her medicine, which I really appreciated. Pickup and Overall Experience When I picked Lilly up, Teresa told me what a joy she had been to care for. About: I spent the past 4 years running a successful dog-watching business in NYC with my partner. We have since relocated to Northern NJ and intend to provide the same high quality services for pets here. I grew up with animals - dogs, rabbits, birds, mice, turtles and fish. I would’ve had cats too if members of my family weren’t so allergic. As a teen I volunteered with friends at our local animal shelter and chose to work with the cat population because most of the volunteers wanted to walk the dogs. Most recently I trained my own dog - starting from when she was 6 weeks old. I used a combination of training techniques (including crate training) to successfully potty-train her, teach her to walk on a leash and eventually teach her to hike and run together off-leash. About: I have had two cats all my life which I have cared for, fed and changed litter for. I also have experience with walking and caring for dogs. I am free anytime from here up until the 16th of August which is when I will be going back to college, but I will be free when winter break comes around. My cats are house cats so it is very easy for me to keep them safe. I shoo them away from anything dangerous or anything they shouldn’t be messing with quickly. As for dogs, I always keep an eye on them and have a tight grip on their leash when walking them so they don’t run off.

About: I’ve had dogs since I was 12 years old, I give them all the love and care possible, my family and friends can attest to this, I also work with children so I am very careful. Our home is extremely pet friendly! We love entertaining our furry guests so there will be a lot of playing involved! It is not easy to trust just anyone with your loved one and as such you will be provided constant updates via text, email messages, photos and videos. About: I've been a dog lover since I was a wee lad, and I used to constantly check out the same informative dog book from my school library until eventually they just let me buy it. I still have it! I've fostered eight dogs and four cats, and my dad currently has two dogs who he trusts to sit for when he goes on work trips or vacations. I have horse experience as well, so if I can care for a horse, I sure can care for your pet. I'm also learning pet grooming, slowly but surely! If you have a well-mannered, not-too-big doggy that doesn't mind the water, I'd be happy to bathe them for you. “Doug and Luiz took great care of our girls while we were away. We were first time Rover users but they clearly know what they are doing. They have their house set up really well and have seen it all. They gave us lots of updates and are very safety focused. I especially appreciate them putting airtags on the dogs upon check in and every entry/exit point is double gated. Really conscientious dog lovers who set up towel pathways for my dog who gets scared of tile/wood floors. Will for sure use again!”

From the moment we met Caitlin, we could immediately tell how deeply she cares for animals, especially dogs. Throughout Brooklyn’s stay, Caitlin constantly kept us updated with endless pictures and thoughtful messages that gave us so much peace of mind. We always felt confident knowing Brooklyn was being loved, cared for, and given the patience and attention she needed. After recently losing her sister of 13 years, Brooklyn has struggled emotionally and requires extra patience and understanding because of both her grief and old age. Caitlin handled her with so much kindness, gentleness, and reassurance. Hearing about her experience rescuing her own dog and fostering others made it clear that caring for animals is truly part of who she is. We are beyond grateful for the love and comfort Caitlin gave Brooklyn during her stay. She treated her like family, and that means everything to us.
