“First Impressions Boarding my dog, Lilly, with someone outside the family for the first time made me a little nervous. My granddaughter, who had used Rover before, helped me submit the application and choose a sitter. Even on the way to drop Lilly off, I still felt apprehensive, but that quickly changed when Teresa gave us such a warm welcome and Lilly and I were greeted by Teresa’s three friendly dogs. Although Lilly seemed a bit overwhelmed at first, she soon relaxed after playing in Teresa’s large backyard, and I felt comfortable leaving her there. Updates During Her Stay Teresa reassured me that Lilly would be well cared for and promised to keep me updated. She followed through by sending photos and notes about how Lilly was sleeping, eating, and taking her medicine, which I really appreciated. Pickup and Overall Experience When I picked Lilly up, Teresa told me what a joy she had been to care for. She said Lilly was very sweet, that her daughter had fallen in love with her, and even one of her dogs had taken a liking to her. Teresa also said Lilly would be welcome back anytime. About: I spent the past 4 years running a successful dog-watching business in NYC with my partner. We have since relocated to Northern NJ and intend to provide the same high quality services for pets here. I grew up with animals - dogs, rabbits, birds, mice, turtles and fish. I would’ve had cats too if members of my family weren’t so allergic. As a teen I volunteered with friends at our local animal shelter and chose to work with the cat population because most of the volunteers wanted to walk the dogs. Most recently I trained my own dog - starting from when she was 6 weeks old. I used a combination of training techniques (including crate training) to successfully potty-train her, teach her to walk on a leash and eventually teach her to hike and run together off-leash. My dog is now 3 years old and I bring her to my grandmother’s assisted living facility. She interacts with and plays appropriately with other dogs, pets, adults and children of all ages. She is a secure dog and adaptable to any environment. I believe my dog’s calm and friendly demeanor is a direct reflection of my skills. I’m prepared to handle dogs across the spectrum of sizes and energy levels. I live close to many beautiful parks and trails, some with dedicated areas for dog-play. I will closely follow any instructions you have for feeding, exercising, sleeping and socializing your precious pet. I work part-time from home and set my own schedule so I am able to dedicate the appropriate time and attention to your pet easily. I will treat your pet like part of my family if they stay with me. About: I have had two cats all my life which I have cared for, fed and changed litter for. I also have experience with walking and caring for dogs. I am free anytime from here up until the 16th of August which is when I will be going back to college, but I will be free when winter break comes around. My cats are house cats so it is very easy for me to keep them safe. I shoo them away from anything dangerous or anything they shouldn’t be messing with quickly. As for dogs, I always keep an eye on them and have a tight grip on their leash when walking them so they don’t run off.

About: I’ve had dogs since I was 12 years old, I give them all the love and care possible, my family and friends can attest to this, I also work with children so I am very careful. Our home is extremely pet friendly! We love entertaining our furry guests so there will be a lot of playing involved! About: I've been a dog lover since I was a wee lad, and I used to constantly check out the same informative dog book from my school library until eventually they just let me buy it. I still have it! I've fostered eight dogs and four cats, and my dad currently has two dogs who he trusts to sit for when he goes on work trips or vacations. I have horse experience as well, so if I can care for a horse, I sure can care for your pet. I'm also learning pet grooming, slowly but surely! If you have a well-mannered, not-too-big doggy that doesn't mind the water, I'd be happy to bathe them for you. I'm still looking for a more stable job, so as it stands, my schedule is completely open. I'm not a super big morning person, but I'm willing to sacrifice my extra hours of sleep for your pet! My dog seems to have really enjoyed his stay, playing with her Sheepadoodle. They have a very nice enclosed backyard where the dogs can plan outside. It made it very easy to go away on vacation for the week knowing our dog was in good hands. Will definitely rebook in the future and would highly recommend.”
“Doug and Luiz took great care of our girls while we were away. We were first time Rover users but they clearly know what they are doing. They have their house set up really well and have seen it all. They gave us lots of updates and are very safety focused. I especially appreciate them putting airtags on the dogs upon check in and every entry/exit point is double gated. Really conscientious dog lovers who set up towel pathways for my dog who gets scared of tile/wood floors. Will for sure use again!”
