About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and grew up with dogs, cats, birds, fish, rodents, and farm animals. Caring for pets has always been a normal part of life for me, both through my own animals and through pet sitting for friends, family, and neighbors. Over the years I’ve raised my own puppies and kittens, cared for senior pets, and managed medications and special care needs. One of my own dogs (German Shepherd Dog) was diagnosed with cancer at a young age, and I cared for him throughout treatment until he passed away at age four. That experience taught me how important consistency, patience, and close attention can be when a pet isn’t feeling their best. I also currently care for my senior dog who requires medication. Today I have a labradoodle that I’ve had since he was a puppy, two cats, and my senior dog. I take pride in training my dogs to be well-behaved and socialized. I’m working from home and have a pretty flexible schedule. I’m able to help out anywhere from once to probably two times a day if you want! I live in a two bedroom townhome with my 8 year old heeler. My dog is very sweet and likes to hang and walk with most dogs but can be shy when meeting a new friend or territorial (just loudly barks) over her bed and crate. I am free to pet sit on the weekends given I do not have something scheduled (in which case my calendar would reflect my unavailability). While I do not do housing of any kind, I have experience staying full time in another’s house while they are away. “Amanda was so great for Buddy! She was so flexible in meeting us prior to his stay, and she kept me updated throughout with pictures and video. Whenever I asked how he was doing she promptly replied with a story about his time with her. It was a great comfort knowing that she really cared about his well being while we were gone. “In our area there are dozens of commercial buildings with teams of people ready to care for your pet. I'm sure many are very successful businesses. However, when one needs to find someone passionate about animals to care for their beloved pet, this website is the best place. Diana and Jesse are clearly animal lovers. They have multiple pets and they have designed their home around their pets and pets they care for, including a large, fenced back yard. Spend five minutes with them and their passion and love for animals is obvious. We felt very comfortable leaving our dog with Diana and Jesse. While with Diana and Jesse, our dog had a great time. He was well cared for and returned home happy and healthy. Diana and Jesse, respond quickly to messages, share pictures on a regular basis and adapted to our pet's needs. Their pets are very accommodating of new animals as well. Our dog will be back under the care of Diana and Jesse the next time we travel. I suggest you go meet Diana and Jesse as well.”
